  Thank you for your review. I’m sorry you feel this way. I assure you this was not our intent. We saw enough damage on your roof to suggest you calling your insurance because the damage was substantial enough for a claim. This would have keep money from coming out of your pocket (which is always our aim) What the insurance pays is not our concern. We need to see the ‘scope and sequence ‘ from your insurance so we can see what they were willing to replace not what they are paying. Our estimate will not match their estimate because of the many facets to roof repair or replacement. Usually the front page of that paper work says “show this to your contractor”. We want to make sure everything they found in your claim is repaired so they can’t say in the future that you didn’t repair it to their liking which could cause the insurance to drop you. Once we found out you had already had an insurance claim filed and processed we assumed you wanted it done according to insurance specification. Feel free to mark through all the prices on the paperwork if you wish and we will give you a proper estimate based on your homeowners so you won’t get in trouble with your insurance. Or if that’s a chance your willing to take I can gladly give you an estimate based off a total roof replacement or repair. Which ever you prefer. Once again we apologize for the misunderstanding. We would love a chance to make this right or at least explain a little better in person or over the phone.

  I reached out to Tar River Roofing to inspect my roof for a leak I had noticed. Tim Smith, was incredibly professional and accommodating, coming out at a convenient time for someone to be home. They swiftly identified the issue and resolved it effectively and a fair price. I highly recommend Tar River Roofing for any future roofing needs I may have.

  Background: home built in 1910 and has a tin roof After much needed rain, we had some yellow stains show up on the kitchen ceiling. I spoke with Tim on a Monday and had an appointment Wednesday morning. Tim came out on time, assessed the ceiling, and, in no time, was walking on the roof looking for the culprit(s). He was very professional, courteous, easy to work with, not pushy, and just down to earth. Without hesitation, he addressed some concerning issues right then, and made minimal recommendations should the problem continue. Thank you for reading and I know this was long, yet it’s difficult to be short and give praise when it’s well deserved. Thank you Tim for the great service and experience!

  Tar River Roofing did an amazing job on my mom‘s roof replacement and repair. Tim was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was so incredibly patient with all of the questions that we had during the process. Everything was smooth and the customer service was excellent. All of the work was top-notch.

  From estimate to complete roof replacement this company handled everything in one week. Swift, thorough work with good communication. Clear billing, excellent work, with good clean-up too. This roof looks even better than the original did when it was new. AAA+ work. Thank you!
