  The quality of craftsmanship and wood work done at my home was not the best, very sloppy, the mental roof looks good, but the workers attention to detail work was horrible. There clean up was not great I’m still picking up nails out of my yard. I wouldn’t recommend them nor will I have them complete the other roof work in the future. No leaks so far I can at least say that.

  Mark Plummer, the owner of Standard Roofing and his crew ripped me off when I had them put a new roof on my home. It leaked on and off for 3 years damaging my plaster ceiling in my living room, the wood in my attic, my furniture and water got in to my duct work that has caused issues. The first time he sent someone to fix the new roof, that was leaking, the guy cut out my new shingles and slapped up shingles that were the wrong color and size. His guy was nasty, and cussed at me. They repaired the same area on my roof multiple times when it was never the problem of the leakage to begin with on the new roof or the old roof. There was no communication between Mark and his crew as to what type of shingles I had on my new roof they installed, or what really needed to be done. They kept patching below the leak and I kept telling them that the shingles didn't seem to be the problem and they were not. Mark Plummer, owner of Standard Roofing was referred to me by Ervin Shumaker whom owns Cedar Ridge Construction and also ripped me off. They were in this little scam together. Since Ervin subbed the work out to his friend Mark, he was the one who was responsible for the roof work also but he was hiding the fact that Mark and his crew did not replace my 76 year old flashing around my dormers even when I asked him about the metal around the dormers. He had Mark send out a guy and he cut the ends off my flashing and sprayed painted the old flashing with black paint to make it look new while I was not at home. He also got the black paint on my white vinyl siding. I am not stupid and saw what they had done and even found the cut metal in my flower beds. I called the county to come and inspect my roof and they can, even though you do not need a permit to replace a roof. Mark and Ervin stood in my attic and they both lied to the 2 top county officials saying the the flashing had been replaced. The county officials inspected my rood and they got caught in their lies and had to repl

  I called to set up an appointment to get an estimated. I was told the tech had the book and he will call me back. I called back the next day, was told "oh Mike didn't call you, let me tell him he is in the warehouse". That afternoon, Chris calls me and said they can come by later today or tomorrow, but tomorrow would be better. I was like "ok". Calls me back 2 minutes later, sorry, but actually today would be better, we can be there between 3:30-4. I said, Ok. So than they show up at 4:30. Told him I had some questions, he said he can't answer any questions they all have to be answered by Mark plummer, but he will make sure he will call me back asap, he is the only one who can answer questions. So I call gain since i hadn't heard anything by noon the next day. The woman who answer told me I couldn't call and expect an estimate the same day as i called....well, not what i did, not what i said. Told me I get an estimate in an e-mail the next day (although nobody took my e-mail). When i told her , he didn't take my e-mail, she took it down and said it will take at least until the next day and they will send me an e-mail with my estimate.I said, but I have some questions, she told me that I can't expect to call and have someone come out the same day and give me an estimate (where that come from? i said no such thing, now I'm getting irritated the woman is putting words in my mouth), basically, my expectations for this company to get a call from someone who can answer me some simple questions where unreasonable is what she told me. Something about they are in goochland and therefore he will not bother to call me until his guy comes out gets measurements, and has paperwork. I did get to ask if they use subcontractors, which they do, and than she told me that we are not a good match and i should probably find someone else (she literally kept putting words in my mouth and started to irritate me)......So people beware, since they got themselves on the news, I mean...can yo

  Can not recommend this company. We waited all day for them to come repair a minor fix never heard from them.

  Standard Roofing did a a fantastic job replacing our roof. We had Dustin out for our estimate and received our quote the same day. Dustin made sure to go over all the process and what to expect. The crew that did the job worked hard and the end result looks great. They kept our yard clean removing all the debris and nails at the end of each workday. Also, a big plus knowing they are trained and backed by the manufacturer for warranty work should any issues arise.

  Dustin and the crew did a great job getting my roof replaced. Great and easy communication through the entire process, the job was completed within days of initial contact, and the price was very reasonable. I’ve been using Dustin and Standard Roofing for a number of years and will continue to used for my future needs.

  Dustin and team did a great job replacing our old roof. We were impressed with how quickly we received a quote and they were able to start working. Dustin was very responsive and helpful during the process and the entire crew were professional, friendly, and did a great job.

  Dustin and his crew did what they said they would! New build, tough schedule, went beyond my expectations! They said they would start and finish the job by the end of the week. We had to delay from Monday to Tuesday but they rolled with it and started on time. Did extra work when others had bailed. I wish all the subs I worked with were as responsive! Thank you!

  Dustin was very professional honest and very good at his job! His crew did a fantastic job . Clean up was the best. His crew are very hard workers, very friendly and knowledgeable. They did an excellent job. I love my new roof and so happy I went with this company. We just had a big storm come through and thank God no leaks no wind damage. Thank you all for a great job and thank you for all the hard work fixing my roof!!! I would definitely recommend this company. Everything looks great. Clean up was great and I didn’t have to go behind them and pick up any debris.

  Standard Roofing was the best estimate out of 3 with same shingles. Showedup on time.They worked quickly and efficiently. No mess left behind. Maid necessary repairs where needed. Would certainly recommend.

  Standard Roofing did a wonderful job on our roof replacement. I was impressed with how responsive they were, and how quickly they got the job done with high quality.
