Mr. Williams, I do not know who you are, and neither I nor my team have ever had contact with you. This feedback does not align with the experience of the thousands of customers for whom we have successfully completed projects. We take feedback seriously; however, we have no record of you as a past or present customer of our company. Because of that, we’re unable to identify any project or circumstances being referenced. Springtree Restoration operates on written scopes of work, documented timelines, and clear accountability with our clients and their insurance carriers. When issues arise—as they often do on complex construction and restoration projects—we address them directly, transparently, and in writing. If you believe you were associated with a project we were involved in, I encourage you to contact me directly so we can review the details. I can be reached on my cell at 940-727-9512. To future customers: we encourage you to review feedback from verified clients and speak with us directly about our process, experience, and track record before forming conclusions. — AJ Huckaby Owner, Springtree Restoration

AJ/SpringTree restoration was asked to look at repairing a leak in our roof. After they “patched” the roof they sent us a bill for $5,000. They ruined our chances of getting our insurance claim and we had to pay for all of the damage out of pocket. AJ then hounded us for months demanding that we pay this bill even though the leak was never repaired and it continued to leak for months and we had to get a different company to come out and redo their work after springtree could not stop the leak. They then threatened to send debt collectors on us and put a Lein on us. I highly highly recommend to go with anyone else.

Mason, I appreciate the opportunity to clarify the record for anyone reading this review. Springtree Restoration was contacted in March by Josh Knight of Knight Homes & Construction, the general contractor you hired, after a significant windstorm severely damaged your roof in McKinney, TX. We were referred by a mutual supplier and responded immediately to provide emergency temporary dry-in services to protect the building before another major storm hit. When we arrived, the roof had already been open for nearly a week and the building interior was saturated with water. We assisted the GC by: Securing a mitigation company to begin drying out the building. Running a full Matterport scan to document damages. Capturing and sharing 1,240 photos of the damage and temporary repairs. Installing a temporary roof dry-in to minimize further loss until the carrier could inspect. It was made clear at the time that these were temporary emergency measures, not a permanent repair. We returned again on April 8th to provide additional temporary dry-in services at the GC’s request. At no time did Springtree have a direct contract with Hanes Ventures, nor were we ever authorized to discuss the claim with State Farm. All communications and direction came through your GC. Despite this, our team provided extensive documentation and immediate emergency support that prevented catastrophic additional damage. When State Farm denied the roof claim, your GC later requested a bid from us to replace the roof, which we promptly provided. However, the project was awarded to another contractor. Even though we were told insurance had covered temporary repairs and mitigation, we were not reimbursed for 111 days for the $4,278.90 in costs incurred. Payment was only made after we were forced to send notice that the account could move to collections. Unfortunately, our team then received vulgar and harassing emails from your company’s ownership, despite the fact that we acted in good faith, pe

Company did not accomplish work and owner cancelled the contract. The owner was not able to accomplish repairs for fire damage because he lacks the ability and lied with intent to fraudulently charge the customer work that was not approved by me or insurance adjuster. The better business bureau should record this statement to inform all customers of your actions. In addition, software forced me to provide a rating before message could returned. My rating of you and your company is lower than one star.

    Reply from the business

Richard, we’re sorry to hear about your frustrations, but the information in your review is not accurate. Our team mobilized immediately after your call, arriving the next morning with mitigation crews, a contents team, and temporary power arrangements so work could begin right away. The difficulties on this project arose when the insurance adjuster issued an inadequate estimate and interfered with the process by halting work and introducing her own contractors. We provided a detailed, code-compliant estimate to ensure your home could be properly restored. Unfortunately, when asked to complete the work to a lower standard, we could not proceed in good conscience knowing it would leave your home improperly repaired and expose everyone to unnecessary risk. At no point did we misrepresent our services or attempt to charge for work not approved. In fact, much of our proposed scope was later approved, though you ultimately chose to proceed with the adjuster’s recommended contractor. Springtree Restoration stands by our commitment to integrity, quality, and compliance with restoration standards, and we regret that we were unable to complete your project under the circumstances.

The work that was done done on my roof was nice and they did help me with the insurance claim. Just was too long to get this done. We started the claim in April/May. Just finished the whole process a month ago. The claim was a large claim due to the fact that they got the house siding covered as well. My big problem was that they back out on an agreement that was signed by the both of due to the cost being to high for the company to get the siding part of it done. Allstate gave out $12460 for the home siding I was Made to believe that if the cost was higher that they could just go back to the insurance and ask for the difference. After all they are the pros right? Anyway I had to go find a company myself and the difference was only $540 which I had to pay out of pocket. No biggie the siding that was done looks great. I also had to send all the info to on the siding to the insurance after it was done just to get the remainder of my money. Anyways roof was done looks nice just was a big headache. Too many people to deal with also. Had a few misunderstandings which didn’t help the process go faster.

Hi Joe, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback through the link we provided you yesterday. We are always looking for good honest feedback so that we may continue improving our services. I would like to take a moment to clarify a few things. If you recall you originally filed your claim with Allstate in Mid to late February, in which Allstate only approved a few minor interior repairs that was below your deductible. You contacted us on March 19th, 2020. When we came out to survey your project, we noted sever hail damage to your property that had not been covered by Allstate. Our team immediately began the process of documenting the damages and devolved a 18-page report that included supporting photo, Building Code documentation and a detail estimate to rebuild your roofing system, guttering and metal roof structures. This report was submitted to Allstate at your request. Our efforts ultimately resulted in a full replacement of all the items initially requested in our report. This process took approximately 30 days and required daily follow up calls, emails, multiple estimate revisions and visits to your home to obtain documentation/photos requested by Allstate. Allstate was not willing to come back out to survey your home due to COVID and solely relied on our documentation. We started your project on April 29th and within a few weeks we completed your roofing system, metal roofs, guttering, and window repairs. In addition, we upgraded your roofing system, gutters and painted the metal panels on your patio cover at no additional cost to you. Towards the end of this project it was brought to our attention that damages to your vinyl siding may have been caused by the same storm event that caused damage to the other building materials on your home. We again started the process of providing extensive documentation and estimates to replace your siding for $13,835.70. Despite our efforts over a 3-week period, Allstate would only approve $12,097.95 to replace

Jason and his crew were great and the outside roof work was perfect. Unfortunately, we were not happy with the ceiling touchup paint job and will have to hire someone else. We were told upfront that the white would not match exactly, however the color turned out gray, not white. We have had ceiling touchups done by two other contractors in the past and they were able to match the white. The first time Springtree painted, they used a yellow color which had to be repainted. I asked them to come back and we now have gray. Again...great contractors but the painting was a disappointment.

    Reply from the business

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I had an opportunity to review the project documents and photos. I also discussed the project with Jason concerning the interior painting. My understanding, it that this portion of the project was an attempt to hide or cover up a spot on your living room ceiling. He explained that he too was disappointed in the outcome, however he also explained that he did his best to set the expectation that attempting to color match the white popcorn ceiling texture was going to be a very difficult venture and that painting the entire ceiling would provide the best results. He also explained that you chose to proceed with the touch rather than incurring the additional cost to paint the entire ceiling. It's been my experience that when trying to patch or touch up paint a small area on a surface is rarely done successfully. In fact, it is always recommend to paint the entire surface to ensure the best finish product. This is especially true when dealing with a popcorn textured ceiling. If the area had been recently painted and the exact paint used was available for the touch up, we would have had a better chance for success. We strive to ensure every customer has a positive experience and walks away feeling good about their project. Given the opportunity, we would like to come back out and paint the entire ceiling at no additional cost to you. I will follow up soon to see about coming back out to make things right. We truly appreciate your business! AJ Huckaby

Jase has been the absolute best to work with. Him and his crew have been great to work to work with. They have replaced all the metal roofing, siding, and trim. Our house has more than one type of roofing as well as more than one type of siding. Jace has worked with us through the whole process. From dealing with the insurance company to the day they completed the job. There has been a lot of things that happened beyond mine and husband's control. We had to make a lot of changes as we went along. Jace, AJ, Jay, and the whole crew have been so helpful, flexible, and patient with all the changes we have had to keep making. I am finally loving my home. The outside of my home is beautiful and we have had so many compliments. We still have more work and as soon as the insurance aproves it I'll be getting ahold of Jace. I will definitely be referring Springtree to anyone that needs a great roofing and restoration company.

I appreciate the solid project coordination from the office to the workmanship and attention to detail inside the home. LATE 2025 UPDATE: a mishap with a tree trimming company happened.
