Having wrote a positive review for this company a few months ago I must update the review now. I hired Sam to replace shingles at a rental house. The roof was leaking at the site of an old fireplace chimney. Sam or his workmen were in …

You had an open top brick chimney which was falling apart and leaking, there were no visible stacks or liners present in the chimney visible from roof level. We presented multiple solutions to the issue, one of which was to remove the chimney to below the roof deck and patch the roof, IF of course, the chimney was no longer not in use. You ensured us that it was not in use and asked if we would be going inside to inspect it. We explained we are not HVAC techs and would not be able to assess to confirm. You instructed us to proceed with the removal. During this process, and to this day, I personally have never been in this house. Our team however, entered the residence during removal, only to access the attic to remove bricks and assist our team in patching the roof deck. Later in the year, once it was discovered that the furnace and hot water tank were vented through it, we assisted as much as our expertise allowed. You hired people to address the concerns, and submitted the bills to us requesting we cover the costs. Being a fully insured business up to $5M, we submitted all the information and communication to our insurance company and we were found not liable, given the fact that we were instructed to remove it and that it was not in use. As we have told you, if your insurance company feels otherwise, they are welcome to contact our insurer in order to dispute the claim as this is exactly what insurance is for. You refuse to have your insurance company contact ours and therefore there is nothing more I can do for you.

Very impressed with Sam and his team. We got a same day quote unlike another company getting back to us 2 weeks later. His pricing was slightly less than others. Job was done when anticipated, done right, and cleaned up totally. Very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.
