Because these are highly specialized materials, we cannot provide rough budget pricing without a site visit, which occurred on May 25th. Additionally, specialty products require more complex steps, including verifying current supplier availability and material pricing, which naturally extends the estimation process. However, mid-way through this process, the original estimator assigned to your project left our company. This caused internal confusion, missing information, and the unacceptable communication gaps you experienced with our team as we tried to reassign your file. We take full responsibility for dropping the ball on keeping you updated during this transition. We have finalized your quote today and emailed it directly to you for your review.   Great Canadian charged me almost $300 just to come and quote (refundable if you go with them). I found them too high in price and went with someone cheaper. What a waste of my money and time.

  After spending an hour in our home on August 22nd for an estimate their tech, I'll leave his name out of this, abruptly left without a word. Fast-forward 6 weeks after promises from "the manager" to get our quote sorted out "right away" and reassigning us to another estimator weeks ago we have yet to receive anything. No calls, no emails, and more importantly no-estimate. Making matters worse we were past customers (hence our patience) but when you are spending a lot of money to replace all your windows and doors and they can't be bothered to return calls or followup this left an awful taste in our mouths. They knew we had been approved for the Greener Home Grant and were trying to get our estimate together as soon as possible to get this signed off on headed into the fall. I would not recommend them under any circumstance going forward. GC was the only contracting company we dealt with that blew us off like this and we have since gone with another company that felt our money was good enough for them. 0 stars. Not professional. Not responsive. Not on time. You can do a hell of a lot better in the Edmonton area. We know from experience.

  This company was recommended by my Insurance provider ..After signing the contract This company took 1 year to schedule the repair .. it is still not been repaired

  I can't imagine that most whole neighborhood home owners, as in every home in neighborhood, needs to replace sections of shingles during EVERY SINGLE wind storm!! After inspection of the shingles flown off our homes we have come to notice that the insulation of the shingles was wrong! This could be lack of experience of the workers employed by the company. I know its not due to the time of year of instalation as whomever installed did not even nail the shingles in the right spot! Our neighborhood has spent thousands of dollars in touch ups over the few years our development has been standing. We all simply cring every windy day due to expecting a hefty bill at the end of the windy day. My suggestions are going with a different company with experienced contractors.

  Stay Away!! They abounded with great promises that later many were not followed through. We were up-sold, unfortunately. To start with our work order was lost what we were told would be installed in a week was 3+weeks later after I followed up. We were PROMISED again and again that the final payment would not be taken until we approved the job. However the payment was taken immediately after they finished and we hadn’t been even seen the work. The yard was not cleaned I was picking nails up for a week, which was PROMISED the yard would be impeccable as we had young kids. They left extra shingles on our front lawn saying they would pick them up, well a week later and after killing the grass they never came. Then the dumpster that they had dropped off on our front lawn damaged our sidewalk and destroyed the grass. Then the warranty certificate that was to come within 1-2 weeks of completion took over a month and MANY phone calls and emails to actually get it. Do yourself a favour and AVOID this company! Don’t fall for their well rehearsed sales pitch like we did.

  My home builder contracted Great Canadian Roofing to install the asphalt roof. We constantly get shingles blown off of the roof because of a poor install and they are extremely difficult to get a hold of to warranty their poor install. BP Mystique 42 Shingles have a regular install wind rating of 180 km/h and a high wind install rating of 220 km/h. The highest recorded wind speed since I've been in possession of the property is 89 km/h.

  Great roof and excellent service. We’ve had a couple issues with the tiles of our roof due to poor manufacturing and Great Canadian has been able to fix it with no further issues. Would definitely recommend.

  A contractor of Great Canadian replaced shingles on house and garage and also replaced metal roof on old barn. Would say they did a first class job. They were pleasant to work with and the quality of workmanship is excellent. A Great Canadian crew came out to repair some soffit and fascia. They were excellent changing all necessary boards before installing the new metal.

  Had a home insurance claim for a roof leak. They guys came right away and identified the issue. They were friendly and professional. There was no work done in my case as we have an active new home warranty claim but if in the future we need work done we will be using these guys.

  Overall the siding is holding up pretty good however there was some corners cut, I believe they installing the exterior vent incorrect, resulting water going in my house. *UPDATE* after this review they immediately came to my house the day after.Looked at my issue, they corrected to ensure there will be no leak. That's great customer service in my opinion.

  Great Canadian roofing was excellent. They were quick to respond to my leaking roof issue and did a fantastic job with the repair. I first talked to Eric and he was most helpful and diagnosed what was wrong very quickly with the pictures I sent him. He arranged to have James come out, who did a great job repairing the roof.   This company was great to work with, they repaired a leaking roof ( not their install ). They did a great job and clean-up. They handled everything very professionally and understood it needed to be repaired quickly as I was getting rain inside the house. I highly recommend them.
