  A while back we had several shingles lift during a storm. We called S&S and they showed up quickly and did great work. We’ve never had a problem since. I would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy roofing company!

If I ever need roof work needed in Hickory NC again I wouldn't hesitate to call them!

Those small ceramic-coated particles embedded in asphalt shingles aren't decorative — they shield the underlying asphalt mat from UV exposure. During peak summer heat, when surface temperatures on a dark roof can exceed 150 degrees, a shingle that's already losing granules degrades significantly faster than one that isn't. Early signs include bare or thin patches visible from the ground, granules collecting in gutters after rain, or shingles that look faded and uneven in color.
