Roofing Outfitters

The only one or two-star review we hold for Roofing Outfitters.

Called Roofing Outfitters b/c of a leak on roof… They came out, found an issue and wrote up a proposal… Proposal was carried out, work was done, but leak continued… We had a plan to move forward with further repairs… I withheld ½ the payment till the job was completed, which seemed reasonable… RO called and cancelled repairs citing trouble with labor…I understand that… Job was not finished. There are still tarps on my roof…they (the owner) emailed, not called personally, and said he would put lien on house if I didn’t pay. I paid, roof continues to leak. They are NOT trustworthy, don’t hire….Just my opinion.

Tim came by and inspected our roof after the June 24 storm. Thankfully he gave an honest inspection and told me we don’t need any repairs. I appreciate the honest appraisal and it’s comforting to know a honest local roofing business is here!

Roofing Outfitters just completed a full roof replacement on our 1909 house that is on the National Historic Register. The house is built in the Rustic Style and still has much of the original ponderosa pine siding. The house was built by hand by craftsman Jock Spence. Jock's work is featured by the structure he built that now houses the Hiwan Heritage Museum in Evergreen. One does not take the task of finding the right vendor lightly in a circumstance such as this. After the process of consulting with History Colorado, and getting bids from five roofing companies, we chose Roofing Outfitters in Evergreen. The owner, Tim Andersen, was in touch from the beginning and gave a detailed proposal with various options. He demonstrated form the beginning that "he understood the deal!" This was not a routine replacement. The house needed new facia, details to match the original architecture, and flexible on the job decisions. Mike, the project manager, Mark the office operations manager, and Tim were all involved from start to finish. Francisco, the one-of-a-kind crew manager, and his entire crew, were patient, caring, attentive to every detail. In order to replace the original ponderosa pine rustic facia each rafter had to be notched. Flashing had to be fit under the ponderosa exterior. The original structure still had skip sheathing and new decking was installed. Our entire family is blown away by the results, the craftmanship, and the attention to detail. Each manager and workman treated the house as if it was their own. We will be every grateful for the work that the team did on our roof. We can highly recommend Roofing Outfitters.

This review honestly means a lot to us. Projects like yours are exactly why we love what we do. Your home carries real history and character, and we understood from day one that this wasn’t “just another roof.” We appreciated the trust your family placed in us after such a careful selection process and after consulting with History Colorado. Thank you for recognizing the care Mike, Mark, Francisco, and the crew put into every detail. There were definitely some unique challenges on this project, but preserving the integrity and craftsmanship of the original structure was worth every bit of extra effort. Working on a historic Evergreen home like yours was truly an honor for our entire team. We’re incredibly grateful for your kindness, trust, and thoughtful words. Thanks again from all of us at Roofing Outfitters.

Recently we needed to replace the roof on our home in Breckenridge unexpectedly and at the last minute, in order to close the sale of the house. I got bids from 3 local roofers. Someone highly recommended Roofing Outfitters. I wasn't sure they would even come to Breckenridge. They did! They were so professional and fair! It was such a pleasant surprise. We dealt with Tim. He was able to get us a bid quickly. He went over the bid with me over the phone and answered all our questions. He didn't try to increase his price because we needed to have the roof replaced quickly, as other roofers did. We happened to be gone the day they replaced the roof. Tim brought in 2 crews and had the roof completed by the time we got home at 4 pm. What a surprise! Not a nail on the ground or any sign that there had been anyone work done on our house - except we had a beautiful new roof! We have a small structure separate from the house, where we keep our trash cans. He even replaced the roof on that - without us asking. It's so refreshing and nice to deal with a company that is so professional, honest and fair and takes such pride in their work. If you're replacing your roof, I highly recommend you contact Roofing Outfitters for a bid. You'll love them!!!

The siding on my 50 year old chimney got destroyed during the December windstorm, literally had to be rebuilt. Tim and Mike were prompt and didn’t cut corners. Even when the chimney cap didn’t fit properly they admitted their mistake, apologized for the delay, and custom remade it so everything fit perfectly. Solid work, good communication, and everything looks brand new! Would recommend.

Have now used Roofing Outfitters twice, both times for wind damage repairs to my asphalt shingled roof. Both times I've been quite pleased with the results. First time my repairs were minimal but needed to get done. They worked with me to accomplish several other roof related tasks to use as much of the minimum repair cost budget. Not only did I get my shingles replaced, but painted my roof vents with UV resistant material that also blends in nicely with the roof. They also removed a satellite dish mounted on the roof, and renewed the roof in that area. This time we had alot more shingles torn off the roof from recent heavy winds. The crew did a great job to quickly get the repair done. Cleaned up everything.
