Hands-down this is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They’re just a “face”, the subcontract the jobs then take no responsibility when there is a problem. The people they hire are fly by night roofers that have little to no idea of how to put a roof on. The roofing company lied about what products they were using to replace the roof, they don’t return calls, charge you crazy amount of money only to find out at the time of payment they don’t take credit cards. In my case they never put plywood down they just attached the shingles to ??? nothing. Nails are coming through my attic ceiling which has proven to be extremely dangerous they have already caused multiple injuries and damage to my stuff in storage. Still have not gotten any kind of call back, response from anyone. I have reported them as well as the said roofing company “supreme roofing” and now my homeowners insurance will be looking into their business practices. Definitely don’t even bother making the call to them.

Hi Cynthia, this is the owner of Roof Doctors. I'm the person that called you just after you left your review. I'm sorry you didn't have time to speak with me when I called but I wanted to clear up this review and the wording you left in it. We have a phone number to call with someone to answer 24/7. You haven't called once but If you lost our number, it can always be found if you Google "Roof Doctors NJ." I would post it on here but Google doesn't allow phone numbers on their review pages. Peter was the person working with you. I spoke with him last night and he was surprised you are so unpleased, he thought you guys got along well. Pete has worked in this line of work for many decades and he's not a "fly by night roofer" if anything we are literally nothing but the opposite. I reviewed your contract last night and it states the brand and color of shingles to use which is what we used. I'm not sure why you would say we lied about anything. We're all people just trying to work and get by like most other human beings on the this planet. When someone leaves us a 1 star review, it's pretty detrimental to us, especially with such harsh words such as those you have left us. You said we didn't install plywood but we nailed your new shingles to the same wood decking that the previous three roofs were attached to. Again, I'm not sure why you would say this on your review. You mention a company "Supreme Roofing" which we have no affiliation with. You have also mentioned "reporting" us. Please do have your insurance company call us so we can explain what was done and clear all this up ASAP. Again, our number can be found with a quick Google search. It's also on the top of the contract you have and you have a copy in your email. As for the "nails coming through attic ceiling," your attic doesn't have a ceiling. Your attic has exposed rafters and in between each rafter bay shows the bottom of your roof deck. By code, nails must penetrate below the roof deck to assure they won't

I had Roof Doctors out to fix the same roof leak three times. My roof still leaked. To top it off, they waited 5 months to cash the check. A heads up would have been nice prior to presenting the check. Be aware, you will be charged $247.00 whether they fix your leak or not. Although they gave me a decent estimate for a new roof, I had my roof replaced, NOT by Roof Doctors.

Hello, I spoke with the tech Peter who went out for your repair. He was out three times but you weren't charged for three visits. The $247 you mentioned in your review is far below the minimum charge our company allows, Pete should not have charged so little. We have a minimum of $400 which doesn't leave our company much room for profit after expensive insurances, vehicle payments, vehicle maintenance, gas, ads, material, labor, etc. I do apologize for the delay in depositing your check but you left our company a 1 star review not anywhere in between. Pete went back out to you several times for free and had also let you know you needed a new roof. You were made aware of numerous nails protruding through your shingles as well and these were sealed in multiple areas, not just one area. Our company actually stopped multiple leaks not one leak. Most of your leaks that were repaired were free. I kindly ask that anyone who reads this, please DO NOT contact us unless you understand that our company is in this for profit. Our guys work hard. We all deserve to make a living. After paying expenses, we cannot make enough to get by these days and worst, get a one star review after making multiple free visits.

Not impressed... Never called back after coming out. It was an easy fix. it was an old man that came out I don't even know if he can get up on a ladder. Definitely won't have him work on my house

Hello, I cannot find your name in our database. When a customer calls our main number we ask for name, address of job, and contact info. Are you certain you left this review for the correct company? We have different technicians working in different areas, you mentioned an "old man" which seems a bit subjective but we can't trace down who you are referring to or how we can address this situation. A one star review is quite detrimental to our reputation. We are in business for profit so please trust me when I say we value all business and never intend to upset or lose a customer. I ask you for the opportunity to let us serve you. You can call us any time and I hope we may have the chance to make you a happy part of the Roof Doctors family.

I was so pleased with the Roof Doctors. After Jason came to my home for a free estimate, I immediately knew that this was the company I was going to use. Jason spent over 90 minutes analyzing my roof — and this was the free estimate! He …

I had my roof done. I also had a problem with my detached garage roof a few months later and both times Jason from Roof Doctor in Howell, NJ called me right back, came out and did the work right away. Did an excellent job. Very professional and cleaned up after he was done. I would recommend him to whoever needs to have a new roof put on or repaired. Thank you Jason for the quick response and service and job.

Needed a partial roof replaced due to water damage. Spoke with Bill very helpful to us. They came out on Saturday Jason was our roofer he stayed till the sun went down and we have a beautiful new roof. Very professional, knowledgeable no hassle. We had an issue with the color based on our original information from our builder they came out saw it wasn’t right purchased the correct color. They educated us on what they found as how it was going to be repaired. We have been looking for a roofer for awhile saw their truck little over a week and half from the first call to the finished product!

What Roof Doctors says about itself

Taken from the business’s own website. We have not checked any of it. These are quotes, not credentials — a roofer writing “licensed and insured” on their homepage is not evidence that they are.

Their site also states: states a founding year, free estimates.
