  Not sure what to take from this interaction but here is my experience. I contact this company to provide an estimate on a job. The owner courteously and on short notice sent his partner out to see the job. After multiple follow ups there has been no response on what the next steps or estimate cost is. . A lack of response even if they are not available to take the job is still poor service in my opinion.

  The guy that came as assessed my house was terrible. Literally only said I need a new roof and after letting him know that I just need to know what to do for a temporary fix he never called back. My brother was here on my behalf and he just left my brother hanging too, never went back in to explain to him what was going on and just left. Not only that this guy ripped the plastic down that we had secured to prevent leaking damage while we were out of town and just left it dangling there. We left out a drill, a ladder, and everything to remove it and replace it. Never ever again will call this place, terrible.

  I apologize for your experience. Our assessment was carried out from the top of your roof. We communicated to you that the condition of your flat roof was very bad and required replacement. We further explain why it was not feasible to repair your flat roof after experiencing the level of deterioration that your roof had. You had several other contractors who you said gave you the same advise. Why was is it so difficult for you to accept the advice that all these professionals gave you. On the others you mentioned that the rep ripped down your plastic. This is patently false as the photo shown one section of your plastic unattached. Besides you have a flat roof and a cover over your ceiling could in no way shape or form protect your roof as you are indicating. We understand that a roof replacement is costly and you may not have prepared for a roof replacement, however you are directing your frustration at the wrong company and at the wrong persons. We communicated with you and since you were the owner, we felt that it was sufficient to deal with only one person. Moreover the temporary fix you insisted upon was for patchwork and it was not feasible. Can you imagine what would have happened, had we done the patchwork like you insisted upon and then encountered leaks.

  6 months ago Winston ricketts roofing and associates signed a contract with my father to re roof our house which has a gable and flat roof he didn't fulfill his obligation of the contract and abandoned the job we had to apply for new owners home permit for plumbing and final inspection he was asking for more money having unskilled people (cheap labor) no supervision by Winston or someone qualified many attempts were to contact him no response by email, text and calls be aware of this Winston ricketts roofing and associates roofing lic # 1331129 I would have given 0 stars

  Your contract was for Re-roofing your house. As stated in your agreement any changes required would require a change order and also payment for the work involved. The city required a plumbing permit for the water heater, a new Gas B vent Installed and the Required Inspections. To date you have failed to pay for the roof which was completed. You failed to pay for the Gas B vent and and associated work performed by us. You instead sought to do a change of Contractor in an effort to avoid paying us the monies owed even though you we had completed all the work, only requiring a final inspection. This is very dishonest on your part, you benefit from our labor and you should pay per terms of the agreement.

  Never showed up to give me a quote after talking to Winston twice. Went with another company who did an excellent job.

  He is not someone I would refer to anyone; for roof work or any construction project. He is unreliable, and not dependable, definitely not a man of his word. So beware!

  Mr. Ricketts came to my house to see and give me and estimate for some fascia replacement and a small leak three weeks ago. He promised to put me in his schedule for the end of the next week. He never showed up. Called him again the following Monday and ask him to be honest and let me know if he had the time and was really interested in doing the job. Again he said yes and was going to come by the end of that week. Never showed up. Never called and I lost three weeks waiting for him when I CLEARLY asked him if he wanted to do the repair. There is no way a real serious professional would treat a customer, who already agreed to pay the cost given by him, in that manner. I will never call him again and will not recommend to anybody.

  I met with the owner and he came by and gave me an estimate to fix my roof repair. He wanted 50% deposit. I told him I would give it to him in a couple of days when we finalized everything and got a written estimate. He also assured me that my roof would be fixed before the end of the week. Needless to say. He never called me back after numerous attempts, never followed up. He just left me hanging. He is not someone I would refer to anyone; for roof work or any construction project. He is unreliable, and not dependable, definitely not a man of his word. So beware!

  Please accept our apologies for your experience. However we think you have the wrong company. We normally write a proposal, when we meet with our client, usually a written estimate detailing the work, breaking down cost for repairs, permit fees and payment structure. Our Standard contract requires allows us to take a maximum of 40 percent deposit for roofing contract and not the 50% you referred to. in practice, we customarily take 10% deposit on signing, and a further 30% for permit fees and job site mobilization and materials purchasing. Please advice me of the person you spoke to and the the date of the incident so I can look into the matter and have it resolved.   Ricketts Roofing help us solve our hurricane mitigation challenge and am very grateful. We have an older house in Fort Lauderdale that needed many upgrades. So finding a roofer that fit the bill was a challenge all it's own. Not only was this company affordable but they were very experienced and helped us breeze through the truss and rafter repair. Glad to have met Winston, thankful for making our roof great again.
