Thank you for the detailed feedback, Cassie. The goal of roofing is to keep the elements out, and we share your frustration around this persistent leak. After the roof replacement, multiple visits from our warranty manager and (separately) our lead repair tech to conduct a water test, we were unable to reproduce nature's leak on this 100-plus-year-old home. If you are comfortable helping our team with this learning experience, please share pictures of the solution that worked for you. We want to apologize for the frustrating experience and thank you again for the opportunity to make our team better.

I would not choose to do business with Rhoden Roofing again. In my experience, the process required signing numerous fine-print authorizations on the salesperson’s laptop that effectively gave the contractor control over insurance payments and communications with my insurance company. I was repeatedly told not to worry because they would “take care of everything” and that my only responsibility would be paying the deductible. Several months later, after the company had already collected substantially more from the insurance carrier than I believed the work justified, I received what was described as a “final invoice.” The document still did not include an itemized breakdown of charges, only a total amount due, and it included charges for work that I do not believe was completed. In addition Rhoden charges a 2.9% fee for using a debit card. Since Federal law makes it illegal to charge a processing fee for debit card transactions (Durbin Amendment to the Dodd-Frank Act), Rhoden plays the word game to try to grab another dollar by calling the fee a "convenience fee". Hiring Rhoden Roofing was a decision I regret. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage homeowners dealing with storm damage or insurance claims to be extremely cautious about assigning insurance payments or claim authority to a contractor they do not know and fully trust. I also strongly recommend obtaining multiple detailed, itemized estimates from reputable roofing companies before signing any agreements or authorizations.

While installing our new roof, a worker punched a big hole through the bedroom ceiling. We understand things happen but no one told us this happened. I discovered the hole with sheetrock and insulation all over the floor at 10:30pm. I had to text to get them to acknowledge the issue. They then sent someone out to repair the ceiling. Disappointed in the quality of customer service/avoidance with the incident. Roof seems ok.

Michelle, thank you for the honest feedback to help us serve our community better. Thankfully, safety incidents are rare enough that the bulk of our experience is in prevention, rather than recovery. This occurrence during re-decking shows that we always have something to learn: about prevention, recovery, and communication. We could have done better with proactive/transparent communication. While we're proud to provide a safe work environment for our team, roofing is a hazardous job and consistently ranks in the top 3 most dangerous professions in the US. Our day-of priority was the safety stop, and then to get the house enclosed and dried in to prevent further interior damage. The ceiling was not able to be repaired until the next day. From Mitch, Noah, John, and the rest of our team: we are sorry this headache happened during your project and impacted the peace and privacy of your home.

I can’t speak on whether the roof installation was done properly or not because I am not in the roofing business. What I can speak on how poorly of a job they did cleaning up and putting furniture etc. back that they moved. We offered to move stuff and were told they would get it. We picked up over a dozen nails between the driveway and patio. Trash was left in the back yard along with the old shingles hanging off the vent for the fireplace. Nothing was blown off so there was debris from the removal of the roof all over the deck, back patio, and front porch. All of which we were told someone would be back out to take care of and no one did. Lastly they damaged one of our bushes and smashed several plants in the flower bed. I certainly hope they took more pride in installing the roof than they did in taking care of our property and follow through with coming back out.

Desirae & Terry, thank you for the honest and detailed feedback. We were able to review this in both our project manager and construction department meetings as a cross-training opportunity for our team. Especially at this time of year as daylight hours get shorter, the importance of end-of-day care becomes especially important. We apologize for the jobsite messiness, and we can do better. Most importantly, thank you for the time and specific information to help us improve as a team.

Hi Nancy – thank you for sharing your experience and we’re genuinely sorry that you feel frustrated after making a significant investment in your home. It sounds like you talked to our office manager and our projects lead last week. We’re open to coming out to do a warranty inspection, but until you allow us on site or share the photos, it’s difficult for us to find a solution. It sounds like the repair held out water for 15 months and then started to experience issues: we would like to find out why and make things right. Thank you for your diligence in documenting with photos – that is good advice to anyone investing in their home with a project. Let us know if we’re able to help.

Started project in 2022. After long wait dealing with my insurance company, got a $2900 dollar payoff dropped on us. This was not in our budget 3 years after the service, and not very professional. I would not Reccomend Rhoden Roofing to anyone

Installed in 2024 I regret choosing Rhoden Roofing. The roof may be fine, but the experience was frustrating and disrespectful from start to finish. Communication was terrible. After signing the contract in December, I didn’t hear from the project manager, Chris Johns, once—not even when the roof was finally installed in February. Every time I called the office, they said Chris would call me back. He never did. I should have known from the beginning when Chris made an inappropriate comment, telling me I “can’t use the money for a Disney trip.” That was out of line and condescending. Given how dismissive the whole process was, I can’t help but wonder if I wasn’t taken seriously because I’m a woman or a minority. No one explained what to expect, how the installation would work, or even gave me a heads-up before workers arrived at my house. I had to call multiple times just to figure out the next steps. When the crew finally showed up, I wasn’t even notified. To this day, I’m still finding nails in my yard. If you don’t mind being ignored, talked down to, or left guessing at every step, Rhoden Roofing is the company for you. Otherwise, I’d strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Heather, This is John Rhoden, owner of Rhoden Roofing. Along with Scott Raymond, our Head of Project Coordination, we attempted to reach you yesterday via voicemail and text, and we want to personally follow up on your concerns. We take feedback like yours seriously, and we’d love to better understand the specifics of your experience. It sounds like the combination of last year’s winter weather and a backorder on materials contributed to a delayed schedule and the need for more frequent communication during the pre-build process. However, we’re especially concerned by your experience with our team, and would like to learn more about those interactions so we can make improvements to our processes moving forward. You should have my personal cell, and I’m happy to connect directly at your convenience. Please reach out when you have a moment—we genuinely want to hear your perspective and work together to ensure we provide a better experience for all of our customers. Sincerely, John Rhoden

Service was OK, was told I would get estimates for my soffit end caps, asked about three times and I never got an estimate, roofers and foreman did a great job, I was told I’d have netting in front of my house to protect from nails and I did not get that , they tried to charge me for things they didn’t do, but after calling them and reviewing everything they made it right, I personally would not use rohden Roofing again

Rhoden Roofing just completed installation of our roof. We were very pleased with the results! From the beginning, communication with their sales staff was excellent. Calls and questions were answered quickly and they worked very well with our insurance company following the filing of our claim. They kept us informed of where the claim was in the approval process and told us accurately as to what time line to expect. Clear up to the day of installation, the staff at Rhoden was quick to call and inform us of weather and other delays and when we could expect installation to begin. Many thanks goes to Halley in the main office who quickly informed us of changes due to weather and other unexpected occurrences. Prior to the day of installation, our Project Manager, Jerrod Byrne, stopped by our home to explain the installation process. He provided his phone number and asked us to please contact him with any additional questions. Communication was excellent at every turn, which we deeply appreciated. We expressed concern over left over nails in our yard and flower beds following the installation. He assured us they would go over our yard multiple times getting stray nails collected so they would not be run over by the mower or find our car tires. And that has proved true! The morning of the tear off, the crew began by draping large black netting over our many flower beds so they would be protected from falling shingles and other products. Again, Jerrod let us know that if any flowers were destroyed, Rhoden would reimburse us for them. I was shocked, as this is the third roof we have had on our home and previous roofing companies had not offered this. The crew worked very hard the first day. They were at our home at 6:15 and stayed until almost dark trying to compete as much of the roof as possible. We were amazed how well they all worked with one another. Their lead roofer had a huge cooler full of drinks for the men on this very hot day and managed all

We loved reading this review. Thank you for taking the time to leave such kind feedback. A roof is an investment, and a paralyzing one without education, which is always our priority. From Brayden's initial inspection to Meagan's responses all the way through to Lachlan's communication and follow-through, we could not be more proud to have offered education, honest answers, and most importantly a roof that will last a lifetime with a clean property. Thank you so much for the review, Chris!
