  Don’t hire them or you’ll get a lien from the subcontractor! The accounting department itself has many pending payments to subcontractors who have issued notice to home owners regarding nonpayment and claim of lien. Unfortunately inspite of us paying Red Dog on time and in full, they have delayed the subcontractor payment and not paid many weeks of multiple calls and texts to remind them. We got the work done last year and got the notice Jan 20th. They still haven’t paid as of today and are making payments for homes done before us. Beware of this situation and know that subcontractors have no empathy for you that you have nothing to do with the payment and Red Dog is the only one who can solve this issue but they’re behind on payments. This is the second time for me dealing with a lien from subcontractors, it’s an unfair law to us homeowners but the only way for subcontractors to get their payment (apparently). Least to say, it’s such an unnecessary pain. So do yourself a favor and make sure to hire contractors who don’t have a history of this kind. We’re also left with some pending steps. But the roof is done and payment made in full from our side on time.

  This co. will say what you want to hear, but they can’t be trusted to follow through. My experience with the owner is far worse than you would expect from someone who talks a big game. You’re taking a big risk to work with them in any capacity.

  I cannot recommend Red Dog Roofing based on my experience with Scott, the general manager. When questions came up about the work performed by his crew, Scott was unwilling to provide clear or honest information. Instead of being upfront and transparent, he chose to withhold details that any customer would reasonably expect when investing in a major project like roofing. Most companies are willing to help you when concerns arise, but Red Dog Roofing seemed to only care about the fine print in a contract—not whether your roofing needs were actually fulfilled. That kind of approach leaves the customer at a disadvantage and shows where their priorities really lie. If you value doing business with people you can trust to have your best interests in mind, I would strongly encourage you to consider a different roofing company. A roof is one of the most important parts of your home, and you deserve a contractor that communicates openly and operates with integrity—qualities I did not find here.

  Several years ago Red Dog roofing installed a new roof on my home in Brandon Florida. Two days ago I noticed part of the fascia was separated from the roof. I contacted them and told them about the problem and they said the fascia isn't part of the roof. That's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. The fascia is clearly part of the roof and it should be covered under the warranty. It's a shame we have dishonest companies who won't honor their warranty. I would advise anyone to stay away from this company because everyone knows the fascia is part of the roof. When they installed the new roof the fascia should have been been inspected to insure it would not come loose several years later.

  Hello Rory, Thank you for your feedback. We apologize that your perception of the recent experience with us was less than ideal when you called in for a warranty claim. Your Owens Corning warranty does not include old fascia metal. At the time of the install, flashing and metals are inspected and tacked back in place if needed. However, the fascia metal, soffit, and other components of your home are not covered in a roofing warranty unless other components were installed brand new. Your installation was completed several years ago, and with the recent high winds and rain from the hurricane, the other components of your home that were not replaced are not typically covered under a roof warranty. We appreciate the call you had with our team to talk a little bit more about your entire experience from the original install, to the recent fascia metal concern. We are pleased that your original installation went great, as you expressed on our phone call. We are sorry that you felt our timeline for repairs after a hurricane were not acceptable, and that fascia metal is not typically included in a warranty claim for a new shingle roof. As we mentioned on the phone, if you have any questions or concerns about your roof please reach out anytime and we will come out to assist!

  I highly recommend Red Dog Roofing company. From the estimate to finish… They communicated with me every step of the way they assigned their “” Amish crew” Phil And his crew worked nonstop and cleaned up Behind themselves every day! I am very grateful and appreciative that I was able to get my Roof replaced by such a good company!

  I just had a new roof placed on my house in Sarasota. I highly recommend Red Dog Roofing. This was a very efficient operation. Once some of the initial materials were delivered the operation kept rolling efficiently and smoothly. Every worker, including delivery drivers, roofers etc were all professional, knowledgeable and good at their craft. I dealt with 3 different professionals from the management staff, Don, Shawn, & John. They were all terrific and followed up regularly on site, email and text keeping me abreast of everything. The project was also completed more than 2 weeks ahead of schedule since the tile had arrived promptly. Great Job Red Dog Team!!!
