  As they say, “no good deed goes unpunished”! First and foremost, In May 2022 and July 2022 we went out to this property at the homeowners request due to leaks. Over the last 9 years since the roof was installed debris has built up on home and caused the nails to rust out. At no charge to the customer we have swept debris off of the roof multiple times, cut tree limbs back and sealed that areas damaged by the buildup. Now, we are given a bad review because this customer wants me to dispatch a tech nearly 1 ½ hours away to sweep their roof anytime they call. I understand military disability and the challenges associated with it. I as well am a military retiree with disability whom doesn’t look to others for special treatment because of that disability. Preferred Roofing went above and beyond for this customer. Unfortunately, neither the manufacture nor I can warranty the roof with this type of neglect. Mark L.   Preferred Roofing installed a roof on one of my houses 9 years ago so when we went to sell it we touted the roof being only 9 years old.After getting contract on house inspector flagged soft spot on roof.We called Preferred to go look at it since they installed roof.After Preferred looked at it they found more damage.After talking to buyers we agreed to install new roof with insurance the way it is with roofs.Preferred said they would work with us and gave us an estimate for $10,500 which was a decent estimate.Well the $10,500 turned into $12,700.They tore the vinyl soffit off around the house and left it like that and sent me the bill.I was never advised they would be tearing the soffit off and leaving the house in this condition.Doing all this I come to find out from one of the owners that the salesman and GM have been lying to me.I can deal with a lot but being lied to is totally unacceptable.BEWARE!

  If you conduct a web search of this man’s background (William Lodge/Jacksonville Florida), you will see that he is irrational, untruthful, and has a host of other issues. After installing his roof 9 years ago, he moved out of Jacksonville and rented the house. Neglecting to remove years of debris from the roof, he then decided to sell the property and found out it was in very poor condition. His insurance wouldn’t pay for a new roof because of years of neglect. We agreed to work with him at a distance to get the property in a state to sell. Preferred Roofing did communicate and sent photographs as damage was uncovered during the construction. The vinyl soffit’s were sagging and falling due to wood rot prior to us starting any work. He was well aware that the soffit work that was needed would not be done by a roofing crew. Preferred Roofing was very clear to him that there was going to be additional cost for damaged wood once the shingles were removed.

  Much like another one of the bad reviews on this business we called to have them work on a project for a customer of ours and they were not responsive in any way and it took me several weeks to get someone to call us back. We made them aware that this is our customer and that we manage the projects for this property at which time they agreed. Come to find out they go out to the homeowner and actively try to cut us out of our own customers project that we refer to them. Both Craig and Zack the second person from the company that worked on the project actively try to snake projects and cut the person that called about the project out. Their reviews speak for themselves and I am glad I will not be working with them as I feel they are unethical and poor businessmen. Buyer Beware if this is how a company needs to steal business they must be starving for new clients.

  TJ, you are leaving a review on the wrong business. Preferred Roofing has never heard of you or spoken to you but since we are sister companies with the business you are trying to slander I will go ahead and address your issue. The only part you played in this whole process was calling our office as a "property manager" (when you actually work for Home Advisor) to set up an appointment for the homeowner. You said the homeowner was "out of town" and you are handling the property for them while they are gone, which obviously wasn't true. The homeowner (who wasn't out of town) met our estimator at the appointment, then reached out to Preferred Builders directly to move forward. Our companies do not pay for leads nor have we ever done any sort of business with Home Advisor. The homeowner paid you for the lead and chose to work with us instead of you. We do not work with third party vendors and there was nothing signed or discussed between you and Preferred Builders preventing them from dealing with the homeowner directly. It seems like you like leaving bad reviews, as you left almost this exact same review for another roofing contractor who didn't want to work with you. Please make sure when you call these companies that you actually tell them who you really are and stop pretending to be a "property manager". We would also like to point out that Preferred Roofing does not have any bad reviews.

  Called this company when we spotted a leak in our fireplace. Richard Revels came out and we felt he was honest and very informative. Will DEFINITELY call them when needing any future roof issues. 😊😊

  They were prompt to get out and give an estimate because I had a leak at my chimney! They gave me an extremely fair quote, returned quickly to do the repairs before I had any more water damage, and finished it up to my great satisfaction before asking for a dime! I would highly recommend them for all your roofing needs:)

  Preferred Roofing came and did a repair job for me. JJ and Neulis were great. They did a great job and they showed me pictures and explained what they did to make the repair. Patty and Renay in the office are so nice and helpful when you call to set up an appointment or have a question. James was the one that first came out to check the job to see what was needed to make the repair. He was a very nice man and took the time to explain to me the problem I had and how they would repair it. I think Preferred Roofing Company is a honest and trust worthy company. I highly recommend them.

  Preferred Roofing completely redid our composite roof. It was about 20 years old and leaking. The team was very professional. We were informed of all steps. It looks fabulous now. Highly recommend this company.
