  HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL - TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE We recommend that potential customers read this review before hiring Preferred Roofing. The company employs questionable business practices. Here is what happened: After Aaron (who we believe is the owner) met my husband to inspect our leaking roof in our home on 10/13/2018 he issued a quote on 10-15-2018 reflecting the work and actions needed to repair a leaking roof portion over two bedrooms. This quote was $13,800. On 10-15-2018, he issues another quote for the same work for $15,300. When we asked him to explain the difference between the two quotes ( as to why one his higher than the other), given the scope of work appears to be the same, he declined any explanation. At our kitchen table he assured us verbally "this is just a quote and let's see what work is needs to be done". On 10-24 he finished the repair and asks us to met him at the property requesting for us to sign an amendment to is contract which reduces his warranty. When we asked why this was not part of the original agreement given that we had made it very clear to him, that we need a warranty for his work and materials, so there no further leaks, he again doesn't provide a logical answer, other than "I forgot to mention this". During that visit, he explained what his team had repaired and it was established that the scope of work was less than in the quotes (both of them). To be specific, he didn’t have to do any “cricketing”, nor did he remove more than one layer from the, which resulted in the fact that the actual scope of work was less than quoted. As a result the invoice should have reflected the reduced scope. Yet, it did not. When we asked why we are paying for work that was not done, no answer was provided. On 10-25 Aaron demanded payment in full (of an invoice that was even higher than the second quote), ignoring our request for clarification. We then put an email together to establish the events "on the record" as we now feel we may be

  Having Preferred Roofing replace my pitched and flat roof, including my garage restored my faith in American small businesses. I sought four estimates for a complete roof job and Preferred Roofing came in as the lowest estimate and I compared apples to apples on this major job. I am usually apprehensive on picking the lowest bid but roofing specialist Rob Cornick’s explanation of what has to be done and how I can save money and still come out on top convinced me to select Preferred Roofing. When I nit picked every aspect of the job Rob came to my defense as he said he would. The final product is a beautiful roof and I am happy as a clam!

  I couldn't be happier with the work A Cut Above did. From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, they were professional, honest, and paid close attention to every detail. The crew showed up on time, communicated clearly throughout the project, and their craftsmanship really shows in the finished work. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was done right and left the job site clean when they were finished. It's hard to find a construction company that's this reliable and takes this much pride in their work. If you're looking for quality workmanship, great customer service, and a company you can trust, I highly recommend A Cut Above. I'll definitely be using them again for future projects!

  Preferred just finished a tile reset where they added a new underlayment. I'm glad we did this now, given that our roof was 25 years old and we are looking at what will likely be a rainy fall/winter season. We had an excellent experience, both beginning and ending with Preferred's Rob Cornick. Rob took the time to explain our steps and options. Once we started the job, Rob was constantly out at our house, ensuring that all of our questions were answered. Rob is straightforward and honest, and a pleasure to work with. Beyond Rob, all of our other interactions with Preferred were positive. The office staff was friendly and responsive. And the crew was courteous and worked quickly, always ensuring that the job site was kept clean and tidy. A big roofing job like this can feel overwhelming. We were really in good hands with Preferred and highly recommend them.

  Replaced the roofing, rotting rafter ends, and added eves and gutters around the roof. Sam did the inspection, wrote up a detailed quote, and went through several iterations incorporating my requests. He took pictures of all sections being repaired and included in the proposal. I worked with Jose at the start of the job and appreciate his recommendations to simplify my roof line and protect the roof long term. The job finished within a day of what was proposed and when I pointed out a couple follow up points the team came back, touched up, and sent photos of the finished work. Job site was well cleaned. I’d call Preferred again for more work.

  Preferred Roofing has done an excellent job repairing the slanted tiled roof in our condo building.   We were referred to a roofing company that just finished the job on the neighborhood. As I was researching it, I came across Preferred Roofing with 5 star reviews right next to the referral with only 3 star. Rob Cornick helped us with the options and materials to replace the roof. With several comps we decided to go with Preffered Roofing just because Rob impressed us with his professionalism and demeanor.We could not be happier after the completion. Projects went completely smooth and we are very satisfied with the results.

  Rob and his team did an incredible job on our garage roof. They were professional, cleaned up after themselves at the end of each workday and went above and beyond. Rob was very detail oriented with our project which gave us peace of mind. I would highly recommend preferred roofing!

  I had Preferred Roofing do a roof replacement with tile reset in Thousand Oaks. I worked closely with Rob Cornick throughout the entire process and he could not have been more helpful. Response to every inquiry during the installment was almost immediate by Rob or the central office. Highly recommend.
