The customer is correct that Phillips Roofing installed a new roof system, including both shingle and flat roofing, with final payment received on November 14, 2022. On October 22, 2025, you contacted us regarding a leak. I personally went out that same day, as I was already in the area; however, you were not home. I returned the following day, at which time you showed me the interior damage. Upon inspecting the roof, I found a slice in the rolled roofing at the tie-in area. Rolled roofing does not slice on its own, and this damage was not present at the completion of the installation. Additionally, we had not received any prior calls or complaints about a leak in the nearly three years since the roof was installed. If that slice had existed since installation, the roof would have been leaking consistently during that entire period. We sent a repair technician to address the issue. The initial patch did not hold due to rain, so I advised that the roof needed adequate time to dry before a proper repair could be completed. We sent the technician back on October 28, 2025, and since that repair, we have not received any further communication regarding leaks. It is also important to note that prior to our reroof, a major storm had flipped the patio roof, causing significant interior ceiling damage. For nearly three years following our installation, there were no leaks. The slice found in the rolled roofing did not occur on its own. Nevertheless, I repaired the issue at no charge, although it was not a warranty-related defect. I have been installing roofs for 46 years and have operated as a licensed contractor for 20 years. Throughout that time, I have never had a customer state that I failed to honor my warranty. We stand behind our work and address legitimate warranty issues promptly and professionally.

Very disorganized. I called 5 times trying to set up an appointment for a repair. Either went direct to voice-mail that was never called back or to someone who said they'd pass my info along to someone else who would schedule a visit....never happened. Solved my problem by using a different company.

My apologies for not being able to help. There is a number that is listed on the voice mail if no one has gotten with you in 24 hours in case we do run into a problem like this. I was trying to reveiw the calls but it is difficult to find without a phone number. We do try and get everyone scheduled within a day or so, not sure what happened.

Made appointment, called to confirm appointment 830-1030, no one showed up by 10 am called to make sure nothing came up. Office confirmed on the schedule and said he was probably on his way but definitely be there by 1030 as they had not received a call yet that he was running behind. Still no show at 1040 and the office calls and says he cancelled the appointment for an emergency and he wants to reschedule for the next day. Ya no thanks, I refuse to give them the opportunity to waste my time again. Will be calling insurance agent that referred them and giving feedback as well.

Ms. Moore, Our deepest apologies this is not normally how we do business. He had a medical emergency and could not be avoided. Our customers plus our potential customers are the most important part of our company. If this could have been avoided it would have. He was unable to drive and had to be picked up. As I said I apologize Kim in the office was not aware of what had happened my first thought was for my husband. I am so sorry that we were not able to contact you in the timeframe but a little bit of compassion would be appreciated. Susan Phillips

I realize with the recent storms all roofing companies are busy however after making an appointment last week for this morning (between 8:30-10:30) and two phone calls to confirm, they were a no show. For people that take time off work for an appointment - this is unacceptable! Their receptionist, Nicki was very polite and apologetic stating they placed several calls to their roofer however he didn't answer, or call back therefore they didn't know what the problem was. I told her to take us off their call back list as they were too unreliable for my business. Good customer service is pretty easy to come by - it starts from the beginning of your interaction with a prospective customer. No bueno here folks.

Dear Nancy Stover, We want to sincerely apologize for missing your appointment and the inconvenience it caused you. We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to take time off work and not have the roofing service show up as planned. The recent storms have indeed put a strain on our scheduling, but that should never affect clear communication or reliability. We’re grateful you acknowledged Nicki’s professionalism and the efforts she made to keep you informed, even though our roofer was unavailable to respond. Your experience highlights where we fell short in managing our team and communication flow, and we’ve since been working hard to prevent these issues going forward. Thank you for your honest feedback—it’s crucial for us to improve and maintain the high standard of customer service our clients deserve. If you ever decide to give us another chance, please reach out directly. We’d appreciate the opportunity to provide you with dependable roofing solutions.

I called 2 days ago for a appointment. Finally received a call today to set one up. The receptionist is not a good people person (or doesn't like her job). She made a point to tell me that they "have a minimum of $425", even if they just move one tile. I had 3 appointments lined up with other companies before I received a call back. Just saying. .. ..
Reply from the business
Dear Sue Fralich, Thank you for your honest feedback. We apologize for the delay in returning your call and for any frustration this caused while you were scheduling your roofing appointment. We understand that timely communication is important, especially when you’re considering multiple roofing companies. Regarding the minimum service charge, we aim to be transparent about our pricing to avoid any surprises. Our $425 minimum is in place to cover the cost of travel, labor, and materials, even for smaller repairs like moving a single tile. We regret if this wasn’t communicated clearly or if it came across as unwelcoming. We appreciate you sharing your experience as it helps us improve both our customer service and communication. If you’d like, please reach out directly, and we’d be happy to discuss your roofing needs further and provide a detailed quote.

I have used Phillips Roofing LLC to replace our tile roof, asphalt portion and flat roof over garage two times now... in 2007 and 2026. They are an excellent company, taking extreme care, plus their followup for any issues that arise is amazing. They take pride in their work and are quick to respond. Can't say enough good for this company and their work ethic!

We recently had our roof replaced by Phillips Roofing LLC, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. Bill Phillips and his crew were professional, efficient, and friendly throughout the entire project. Bill took the time to thoroughly explain the estimate and answer all of our questions before the work began. During the project, he was always available and responded promptly whenever we had a question or concern. One thing that truly sets Phillips Roofing LLC apart is Bill’s commitment to standing behind the work that he and his crew do. His work ethic and integrity are qualities that can be difficult to find these days. From the fair pricing to the quality of the workmanship, we were very satisfied with every aspect of the job. We highly recommend Phillips Roofing LLC and believe anyone who chooses them will be just as happy with the results as we were.

We used Phillips Roofing on our new home to replace the old roof, and they did an excellent job and were very professional, and responsive to calls and paperwork. The price, product and underlayment process was what it should be with 50% overlap, (which was surprisingly not specified in other quotes). After the first job was done, I then asked them for an inspection of the house I was selling, to get an idea what would happen at buyer's inspection, ( thinking my 24 yr-old roof was still in great shape ---- because we never had a problem with it). Phillips quickly found an area, (knowing where to look and pulling off tiles) by our entryway where the overhanging plywood had rotted through, due to age, heat and insufficient original underlayment. This would have eventually been quite an issue when eventually found, or leaked during a large storm. We replaced that entire roof also, with all the bad roof board being replaced. Phillips also replaced 80 feet of bad/split/damaged fascia board way up on the roof line and even painted it. I used Phillips twice because of their 4 decades of experience, honesty, and integrity. More importantly, I was not dealing with a salesperson, but rather the owner. Phillips is responsiveness by phone, text and email. The price and product was much better than the other quotes we got as well. The work and clean up was top notch, making both of my re-roofing experiences as good as they could be (considering having to get a new roof is not anything anyone really wants to ever really do in the first place!)

Had 2 roofs replaced, above and beyond work done on one of them. Usually don't refer to people as if it goes wrong you won't hear the end of it. I referred them to a neighbor and they were very happy with the job. Definitely refer them.
