  ⸻ We are very disappointed with the overall experience we had with this company. From the start, communication and scheduling were unreliable. We were given notice on June 18 for installation on June 19, with shingles expected to be delivered 1–4 days prior. However, within about 20 minutes of that notice, a delivery driver arrived at our home without realistic time for us to prepare. On another occasion, delivery was attempted a day earlier than scheduled without proper notice. This caused further confusion and frustration. We were later told the full job would be completed on a Friday, but no one showed up and we received no call or update. We still have not had any communication from them no explanation or solution. At this point, the project has still not been completed. Overall, our experience has involved poor communication, missed commitments, and a lack of follow-through. UPDATE: The owners response below is not an accurate description of what happened. Our frustration came after two failed attempts and repeated scheduling errors, not before. When we tried to address the issue, we were met with a nonchalant response by Kelsey and blame directed at others ( Freiss Tallman) instead of any real accountability. She put the blame on Freiss Tallman Well, the driver for Freiss Tallman said this happens all the time with optimum. I can also post ALL of the emails and I would be happy to do so.

  To everyone reading this review. We declined dealing with this lady after she was very disrespectful towards our office manager over something she couldnt even control. Talking down to her and making her feel terrbile. Optimum Roofing does not tolerate that. This email was sent right after she called the office on June 24th. Good Afternoon, Thanks for reaching out to us. We apologize for some miscommunication. Things happen and we are very good with dealing with them, especially Kelsey. We will not tolerate the way I just heard you speak to our office manager. The level of disrespect shown towards her is not acceptable. We respectfully decline to do any business with you from here on out. Thank you.

  I reached out to them repeatedly to get a quote on my shingles. They never responded. I got fed up and contacted a company in Moose Jaw and when installation day arrived I looked out and Optimum Roofing was there instead. They said they had gotten the referral. I was annoyed at not being advised by the Moose Jaw company that they were farming out the work, but since Optimum was who I had tried to get originally, I didn't care. There were several quality issues with installation, but they came back and fixed them the next day. After completion, I drove down to their office to pay the bill. Shortly after getting home, someone showed up on my doorstep demanding I pay them another $500. Apparently, the invoice they had given me at the office was their internal invoice, not the customer invoice that had an extra $500 baked into it for the referral fee they pay their partner company in Moose Jaw. Had they not given me the wrong invoice by mistake, I would never have known the fee was there. I paid the $500 because I didn't want an escalated confrontation, which he obviously banked on by showing up in person instead of just sending a revised invoice by email and requesting an additional payment. If I had not been put on the spot and pressured, I would likely not have paid the fee. A referral fee is a business-to-business cost, not my responsibility. Why would I ever willingly agree to pay an extra $500 for one company to give the work to the same company I would have used in the first place had they not ignored my requests to provide a quote? It left a very sour taste for this company despite their professional work. Side note, the work was completed a few years ago. I initially held off on posting because I didn't want a negative review to impact any warranty work I might need done. We are now in need of roof repairs at work, which got us discussing possible companies to call, which reminded me of my poor experience here and prompted the delayed review.

Your project was referred to us by another company in Moose Jaw, and we were contracted specifically to complete the labour portion of the installation. The total project price — including the referral arrangement would of been between you and the Moose Jaw Contractor, not Optimum Roofing.   Had someone come out Aug 1 to give a estimate of redoing the roof on one of the buildings at my farm - Was told he would get some numbers to me the following Tuesday as at was a long weekend. It must be a really long weekend for him as I have yet to hear back from him- no reply to follow up emails. Ghosted. Thanks for wasting my time I guess

  Get a second opinion besides these guys, had a fellow come out and look at a roof and said $37000 to replace the sheeting and shingles on our roof. Had another contractor come and look at it and said he could do it for $12000 on the high side,and another contractor say $9000. Very big difference between those prices.

  I set up an online estimate... prepared the area took time off work and optimum did not show up or message me that they were not coming. Waited 2 hours before calling the office. They said they were going to email me that they couldn't help but didnt. no email no apology. Would have been ideal to know this before 2 hours after the scheduled appointment.

  Emailed to get a quote on hail damage repair and possible other work. Hail damage repair is apparently not enough work and they don't even want to come give an estimate. Will avoid giving them any possible future work.

  Hi Lee, The scope of repair quoted by your insurance company is incorrect and a bad practice. You can't warranty replacing x amount of shingles on one slope. It does more harm than good. We strive to do work we can warranty and do it right.

  Did some work a couple times and continuous leaks, then called almost 3 weeks ago and kept saying we were on the list but we’re never showing up. Each time we call they say we will come next week, called today and he said they had to Push us back again. Don’t waste your time!

  Had Optimum come replace shingles tied to an insurance claim. Team was very professional and completed the job quickly. There was an issue with some of the products and they helped resolve that to keep things moving. Was a bit disappointed with the clean up. House with kids and we found more nails around the house then were comfortable with. Overall happy Optimum and would hire again.

  Team was great and attentive. They were extremely polite while onsite and always happy to engage and answer any questions I had. After the job was completed and the crew left I had a couple of questions. I reached out and not only received an immediate response but Jason showed up to do an inspection. He quickly remedied any and all issues without hesitation. This was a big job and they delivered

  My experience with Optimum was excellent from start to finish. Getting a quote was easy, and the communication was great. The different prices and products were clearly explained. There were no pressure tactics and no deposit was necessary. When the crew arrived to do the work, they wasted no time! They showed up at 7 am, got straight to work, and were done, cleaned up and gone by 2:30 that afternoon. They left my yard completely clean of any debris. Very well done, professional job. Thank you so much!

  Would have got a five star review if a little more time was spent on clean up. Found numerous nails all around house. Also looked like someone spilled half a box of staples beside my driveway and didn’t clean it up. Besides that the crew was quick, courteous and professionally presented themselves. They did a great job on the shingles. They started when they said they would start and did not waste any time. I would absolutely without doubt recommend them for anyone needing a shingle job done.

  Your team did a great job of my house. It was not a straight forward roof as there were 5 leaking skylights that needed to be removed and repairs made from the water that ruined some of the wood. It was a very long and hard day but all the workers were eager and never stopped until it was complete. I would totally recommend you to anyone I know. Thank you for a wonderful job well done.

  Optimum did a great job on our roof. It has been several years since the work was done and the shingles look great. It was a re-roof requiring plenty of new sheeting to be installed. The workmanship was excellent.

  We had the shingles replaced on our house last summer. Had 3 quotes from reputable companies in the city. Optimum price matched the work with a small increase for upgraded shingles. Their warranty is excellent. The shingles were installed quickly within about 6 weeks. I had a small issue with some gutter debris afterwards which was quickly addressed. Have recommended Optimum to several people since.
