Had Jim come out for a quote for me, horrible experience. On the walk through, was making negative comments about my active remodel going on. He also made false accusations regarding my project ( told me I had active mold on site and he …

I called Energy Masters to get an estimate to replace windows in my house. I got a call back very quickly but after I returned the phone call and told them I only need to replace 3 windows, company went silent. I will tell you that - my project may be small now, but when the big one comes along, I will be sure to put you on my black list and not call you for an estimate. Not bothering to return my call and explain why you don't want to take my project tells me a lot about your customer service which apparently doesn't exist. Nope you got it all wrong Jim. No fascia repairs of any kind were requested. Just 3 windows is all I asked for from the very beginning and I don't live on Bremmen Street.

We never did any work for you and we don't have any record of speaking to a Tonya K. Since most of our window jobs are small, and I just wrote up an order for 2 windows yesterday, I don’t understand the undeserved criticism.

Big ego, so we decided not to use his services. He told us he only worked with "smart people." This was in Ozaukee County, on a home.

This is a shakedown scam. I’m still not going to pay you to remove your fake review. “He” has changed his review 3 times to bump it up to the top. Most of your reviews are in California, I live and work in Wisconsin. In another review you and your review farm buddies gave a one-star to an assisted living place in Menomonee Falls. I don’t work on assisted living homes. I’m not going to pay your company to remove this bogus review and I realize that some people can’t stand me because I love this country and the freedom it provides. America !!!

The representative who showed up to our house was rude and combative. He was looking for an argument. He was asked to leave the house. Embarrassing stuff from a a chubby little hairball.

While my first reaction was, “don’t hate me because I’m beautiful”, I was perplexed how a 30 second discussion inspired an overly caffienated renter to barge past his wife and demanded that I leave an estimate for his landlord. Perhaps he didn’t realize I always confirm with callers that they are the homeowner and I will be meeting with them. My early hours are typically reserved for my installers and for job sites but the kind lady who called needed me when asking for an 8:30 am appointment so I obliged. Imagine my surprise when my promptness was met with entitled demands from someone who was not the homeowner, who scolded me and told me how I should do my job until I informed him I wasn’t interested. At 8:45 am I received a notification of this review fat-shaming me and calling me hairy. Sure, I could stand to lose a few pounds and I don't blame him for being jealous of my full head of hair. Perhaps he was confused about which website he was on. If judging others on their appearance is his thing, maybe try a dating app next time, but if you don't like what you see, try to be kind enough to just swipe left. I was surprised to find him on Linkedin and saw that he is an HR professional who is supposed to be trained to not be non-confrontational and to de-escalate situations. As he is employed by Unifi Aviation Services and claims they are "committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workplace", I wonder what they would think if they realized they employed such an overly-caffeinated aggressive mansplainer? Sincerely, A Chubby Little Hairball

charged $200 for a 'partial energy audit' that consisted of owner walking around...didn't send invoice until multiple requests...shady, something not right with this business...stay away!
Reply from the business
We don't offer "partial energy audit" as a service. We had to look back 10 months to find the appointment. But maybe you forgot that what you had asked us to do. You had a ventilation consult and it showed that you had two solar vents for exhaust ventilation but no intake ventilation. While we were over you also asked us about the problem with your gutters which are almost 30 feet off the ground. Neither me, nor my project manager who were there to assist you had brought a ladder tall enough so we called one of our crew members who brought a ladder out within 30 minutes of us arriving. I climbed up there and discovered that the reason your cove moulding was rotted away was that your flashings were reversed, pushing water into your house. I climbed up the 30 feet and installed additional gutter brackets and adjusted the flashing at no charge. Maybe you forgot about that?

I had six glass block windows installed in my basement by this company. The windows themselves are of reasonable quality, however, the installation is subpar. First the window openings were incorrectly measured by the estimator. They then somehow had some smaller ones on hand that would “fit the openings”. This resulted in a excessive use of mortar to fill in around the openings and very ugly appearance on the inside of the house. Finally they left quite the mess both inside and out. There was mortar dust ground into our carpets, chunks left on the inside sill, and mortar left smeared on the glass. I wouldn’t use this company again.
Reply from the business
Just a week after the glass block was installed, you called us back to get an estimate on your gutters. If you thought the block installation was bad, it seems unusual that you would have called us back for more work. You had said you were pleased about the 2-day turnaround from order to install of the windows because we made special accommodations for you because you had a newborn child in the house. When I came back for your gutter estimate, you did complain about mortar you said was ground into the carpets, but you didn't want to let me in to see it. You said you were pleased with the way the outside looked. Our process in areas with carpeting has always been the same. We lay down the flattened cardboard box from the block manufacturer on the basement carpeting. If there is any mortar that could fall, it falls on the cardboard. When we install the windows, we pack mortar on the sides and use a trowel to get it smooth. As part of this process, some cement mortar can get on the glass. We clean it off, but a small amount of wet residue sometimes stays on the glass and while it Is wet, it appears to be clear. We do not press on the glass block as the mortar on the sides needs to be given a chance to harden. That residue which occurs as the mortar dries, as our installers explained, will become lighter and can easily be wiped off 24 hours later. When the concrete hardens, the pressure from wiping would not push the window out. Our goal is always to maximize light. Sometimes, especially when working on older homes like yours, we get a surprise of uneven mortar behind the window frames. Rather than use a concrete saw and start modifying your home and making a mess without your approval, we find it to be more courteous to spend extra time on the mortar work, even if we must reduce the width of the window an inch or two. We removed your frames and your sashes to give you an old-world masonry install as we explained before you ordered the windows. Because

We still have our roof leak. Energy Masters still has our $1200.00! They never made any attempt at a settlement.
Reply from the business
We have a very different interpretation of that exchange. In 2016 my two-man crew sealed this sunroom roof over a 3 day period with a silicone based coating product. He ordered us to focus on the area where the sunroom meets the shingled roof so we did as requested. Day 1 is cleaning and drying. Day 2 is coating and curing. Day 3 is coating and curing a second coat. The customer demanded that we spray down the roof to replicate a leak. Here is a video of the spraying: https://youtu.be/fB_5R_6JaEo His demeanor soured after we gave him a free inspection of other parts of the roof and he demanded a full refund money after we showed him the videos. After we'd already done all the work, he threatened to make my life hell if I didn't pay him. We strictly adhere to the Golden Rule, and neither his abuse, nor him making good on his threats will allow us to give in to bullying and bad behavior. Maintaining a 3 year grudge, to review us at this late date, hasn't stopped his leak. Had he taken our advice and replaced those shingled portions of the roof that were worn out, he wouldn't have his leak today.

Thanks to Jim and his team designing our gutters and having a quick installation. Theyve been great for 6 years with the gutter and protective screen. Has come back out to answer any questions we have and troubleshoot problems. Would definitely go with Milwaukee Roofing again in the future!

Thank you very much. I'm glad we were able to completely reroute your gutters, solve some water management problems, and install the new fascia for you. It really freshened up the house, and we appreciate you allowing us to make big changes for you. The new corners look great and the downspout locations will help keep the dogs from making the backyard into a mud puddle. Sometimes when we take on a project and a customer gives me creative license to solve problems, it is both fun and memorable. If there's anything else I can do to help, please don't hesitate to give me a call. Thanks also for not keeping us a secret. All my best to you and your family.

The team at Milwaukee Roofing really knows their stuff! I wasn’t sure what needed to be done, but when I was scheduling the appointment, the guys were very insightful and took the time to educate me on things I didn’t even know. I’m very happy with their service and professionalism! I will be calling them again and couldn’t recommend them enough!

Thanks much. You put a smile on my face today. It's not often that a customer from over 4 years ago writes a review and certainly not one as glowing as yours. We appreciate your positivity and we're glad we were able to give your house some extra "pop" with the sage siding with the white contrasting new windows, trim and gutters. I noticed you have a little garden area in front of the window now and I'm glad to have taken that big ole overgrown bush down for you. Your house really looks nice now. Fortunately supply chains have improved since COVID and I do remember there were some challenges back then. It's kinda fun to look back at a project from a couple years ago to think about how we overcame those supply chain issues that plagued the home improvement industry back then. While there are certainly tariff related challenges now, we've proud that we've figured out ways to work and still get good projects done at an affordable price. It was a pleasure working with you and since you're part of the Milwaukee Roofing family of customers, if there's anything further we can do to help out, please let us know. You're right there on the border where Milwaukee meets West Allis and we've done a lot of projects in your neck of the woods and we hope to continue to serve our local community. Thanks again.
