  Update 8/2/26: Another roofer came by and nailed down the 2 largest lumps from the roof overriding the raggedy old drip edges, which he said are required by code and shouldn’t have been reused. Nothing short of a tear down will fix that disaster, and the siding continues to fall off the house where they disrupted whatever origami-like mechanism holds it up there. Update 7/12/26: The fun continues, as I now have 4 new swollen spots in different places from the last 2. I’ve also placed 5 tubes of tar, caulk, and glue up there to try to fix the holes and gaps. I have to inspect the roof literally every time it storms and every other time it rains until I can get a real repair, hopefully soon. I’ve had no end of problems with a roof removal & replacement. When they were doing it the slamming sounded like bowling dumpsters, and 5 months later the ceilings were beginning to fall. As it crossed a year 2 corners of the roof began to swell. Sight unseen they decreed that it was a gutter problem, but 10 days later a roofer who came said that they had not replaced the old drip edges and that the boards had ridden up on them. It took him about 3 minutes each to fix the riding up problems. Now it appears that they damaged my siding and tried to nail it back, but it has shifted and made gaping holes that may well have rotted. Now I find the chimney flashing is gapping. Honestly this is a regular event, every time I walk the roof, which is now weekly. I have a 1 year-old roof I can’t trust, and I’ve practically had to become a roofer to fix it. A real roofer has been up there twice as well. Sad. On the smaller side, numerous nails and shingles apparently escaped and make themselves known periodically, a problem I never had with other roofers. Seriously unhappy.

Regarding the drip edge, it is not included in many roof replacement projects when existing fascia and rake metal are present and functioning properly. As part of our installation process, we install Ice & Water Shield along the eaves and starter shingles before the field shingles are applied, providing a durable and weather-resistant edge detail. Based on our experience, adding multiple layers at the roof edge can sometimes create unnecessary buildup, which may increase the likelihood of shingles lifting during high winds or allow wind-driven rain to penetrate. For that reason, we follow installation practices designed to provide long-term performance and protection.   Mike was very easy to contact and communicate with, and got our roofing replacement scheduled and completed quickly and with clear information. He was very responsive to emails and text messages and answered our questions quickly and called me directly to explain things and make sure we were all set. I would definitely recommend the company.

  Mike has been amazing to work with! As a realtor, I have had several clients get roofs replaced prior to or during a sale. He is very reasonably priced and always get the job done quickly and with no mess left behind. He services a wide area, which is also very helpful. I always recommend him to my clients!

  Mike came right out to my home when I discovered a leak.When it turned out I needed a new roof the job was done quickly, professionally,and at a very fair price. It isn't so common nowadays that a contractor actually does what he says,Mike is definitely one of the good ones.

  We could not be happier!! We chose Mike because he had helped our daughter on her townhouse and did a great job. The work was professional and Mike and his team are a joy to work with. The roof and gutters look amazing and you can imagine how much more secure we felt in our home through this past winter with a nice snug roof installed. We had other companies come by and quote prices 3 to 4 times higher. Check Mike out first!

  Mike's Roofing was fantastic from start to finish. Mike did a great job of communicating the estimate and scheduling of my project and his team did a professional job of installing my roof and they were quite thorough with cleaning up afterwards. The result is that my roof looks great and it definitely adds protection and value to my home. I would certainly consider using Mike's for all my future roofing projects and I recommend others do the same

  Be Hard to contact Mike for first times because he might be busy. After set an appointment, he did the quick response; the estimate was reasonable.; and my roof looks very good.
