We’re sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with your experience, and we understand how frustrating it can be when concerns feel unresolved. Regarding the issue you mentioned, we want to clarify that the appearance of the shingles at the intersection with your home is due to an irregularity in the construction of the home itself. Specifically, the structure is off-centre where the ridge meets the wall, and there is a noticeable curve at the peak of the roof. This results in a variance of nearly 2 inches over a span of approximately 3 feet from the peak to the wall. Unfortunately, this is not something that can be corrected from a roofing standpoint without addressing the structural framing of the home. We’ve visited your property three separate times to inspect and discuss the misaligned ridge, and have made adjustments where possible. However, we have now exhausted all feasible roofing-related solutions. During each visit, we met with you in person and explained the situation in full. While we respect your perspective, the explanation has not been satisfactory to you, and continued discussions have not led to a resolution for either side. Please also note that the misalignment is not visible from the street or from any windows — it is only noticeable when standing directly on the roof in that specific area. We regret that this issue has impacted your overall impression of our work. Your feedback is valuable, and we’ll continue to improve how we communicate around structural limitations in the future.

I understand your frustration, but I'd like to clarify that our pricing structure is based on a half-day ($1,450) or full-day ($2,750) rate, which we've maintained for over a year, plus the cost of materials. This even started the same after the hurricanes. This approach helps us manage labor and logistics efficiently, as some tasks require more than just the time spent on site. Which includes drive time to get materials and to the job site. We always aim to be transparent with our pricing, and we strive to offer fair and honest service. We are one of the good guys not charging ridiculous insurance rates to our customers. We work, live, and play here in SW Florida. Our integrity means everything to us.   🚨Mighty Dog Roofing negligence 🚨 — after this has been ongoing since June 17th, I am sharing my experience on the receiving end of complete negligence with Mighty Dog Roofing SWFL. Basically an update to my previous review. Specifically with them performing a job under “warranty” and still not being able to fix it 3 attempts later, going radio silent on me (after full payment, of course). Besides our ceiling completely caving in after their second attempt to fix the roof as a “warranty repair” their team stepped through areas of our ceiling and ran off site. They refuse to accept responsibility. After I tried to take the “us against the problem” route — it has gotten me nothing but continuing to be taken advantage of. I also completely lost my renters who were in a 2 year lease due to this. After the owner, Philip Crutchfield went completely silent I was passed to their attorney months later. Their attorney basically says “too bad, so sad” and “there is no refund”. How? If you do your diligence as a homeowner to ensure the company and contractor SWFL is licensed and insured shouldn’t that be enough? If others have experienced this, I am so sorry but also please reach out to me. Thank you and please be warned.

From the very beginning, we were transparent about our role, which primarily focuses on handling all aspects above the roofline, including waterproofing. However, we did communicate that additional work by a third party might be necessary inside your home following the reinstallation of your new skylights. This includes touch-ups to paint and caulking to achieve the desired finished appearance. While we took great care during the construction process, it was anticipated that minor damage, such as superficial paint damage, might occur upon removal. It's important to emphasize that interior finishing work falls outside the expertise of roofing companies, and it's in the best interest of homeowners to engage specialists for such tasks. Just as a plumbing repair might necessitate the expertise of a drywall or painting specialist, our focus remains on preserving the integrity of your home's structure and ensuring its waterproofing. Furthermore, we meticulously document all communication, including emails and text messages, to maintain clarity throughout the project, as we have done for all our clients. If there have been any misunderstandings regarding our communication, we sincerely apologize. We take pride in our commitment to excellent communication, as evidenced by feedback from our other satisfied clients. Once again, we apologize for any frustration you've experienced.

  Ms. Luna we are very sorry that something happened and you slipped through the cracks that was never our intention. However, we are in the midst of something many of us have never been through before. We are fielding over 400 calls/emails and texts per day. We are doing everything we can to navigate through this. Of course our infrastructure was not setup for this massive volume of people reaching out. We have tarped and secured 100’s of people homes who had terrible active leaks. We are now just starting to get to those with minimal damage like yourself. To give a small local business like us a poor review is tough to swallow when there are storm chasers out there taking advantage of many unsuspecting people while we are working 12-14 hour days, 7 days a week, to take care of those in real need.

  I noticed a stain on the ceiling in my kitchen. I called a Mighty Dog to fix leak. That was in September '21. They came, fixed leak and I had ceiling stain removed. In November I noticed a water stain again on ceiling in same place and again, called Mighty Dog. The roof leak was again fixed but the problem continued. I ended up hiring another company who fixed the leak. I did not have a a satisfactory outcome and I was minus $ 750.00. Would not recommend.

  When water damage suddenly appeared in my guest bathroom, I knew I needed to call a roofer. Fortunately, I had met John Berriola from Mighty Dog Roofing at a Sarasota County Schools event, and he offered to stop by to inspect my roof and attic. John arrived right on time, performed a thorough inspection, and took the time to explain everything he found (and did NOT find). Most importantly, he was honest, professional, and never tried to sell me something I didn’t need. If you’re looking for a trustworthy roofing company, I highly recommend Mighty Dog Roofing.   My roof had a leak, so I called Mighty Dog Roofing LWR. Daniel Marr inspected the roof, in the attic and from the outside. He did a great job of explaining the issue and how Mighty Dog would fix the issue. Their technician arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a thorough, professional manner. This company provided reputable information and good work - at a competitive price. I highly recommend Mighty Dog Roofing LWR.

  I recently hired Mighty Dog Roofing for a roof replacement, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From my first call, John was incredibly responsive, took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for, and provided a very reasonable quote within just a few hours. Throughout the entire project, John, Coy, and the rest of the team were outstanding. Communication was excellent from start to finish. Coy kept me informed every step of the way, including letting me know when the crew would arrive and reminding me to move vehicles from the garage and driveway before work began. The team took great care to protect my property by laying down plastic to cover the driveway and setting up boards to protect the garage doors. The crew was professional, polite, and efficient, and they cleaned up thoroughly before leaving each evening. Once the roof replacement was complete, John personally returned for a final inspection. During that visit, I mentioned a few loose soffits that had been an issue before the roofing project started and asked if he could take a look and provide a quote to repair them. To my surprise, John fixed them free of charge. He also informed me that my roof replacement included a complimentary AC maintenance service if I wanted to take advantage of it. This team truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the job. Their commitment to customer service, quality workmanship, and attention to detail was evident throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Mighty Dog Roofing to anyone looking for a reliable, professional roofing company.
