  I bought a house in 2018 with a brand new roof from this company. It leaked less than a year old. They would not warranty the less than 1 year old roof because they said the warranty doesn’t transfer with sale. Plenty of stand up companies out there that can install a roof that doesn’t leak in less than one year. Also. Most companies would stand behind the work they did instead of saying sorry about your luck. Choose wisely.

  We have tried to find a record in our data base for this customers name and can not find him. We have no record of him calling our answering service. The record of his call would be recorded. We would never say "sorry for your luck" I would like him to call us at 941-379-2501 and tell us why he did not get his warranty transferred at the sell of the home. 2018 is 6 years ago.   **BUYER BEWARE**FlORIDA STATE ROOFING REFUSES TO HONOR PURCHASED WARRANTY. I purchased a replacement roof from Chuck Floyd of Florida State Roofing in December 2009. I got several estimates. Florida State Roofing wasn't the cheapest, but Chuck seemed knowledgeable. He faxed me a warrenty sheet from Certainteed Shingles with a circle around the 4-star 15-year warranty which covered all the materials, labor and no prorating of the shingles, a certificate that identified him as a certified Certainteed approved contractor, and the contract. I agreed to pay for the additional warranty. The warranty on my contract also says *4-star 15 year warranty including labor and materials*. I signed and sent it back and paid my first installment. The roof was eventually completed, paid for and inspected by Manatee County. After the hurricane, my husband (who was a roofer for years) was on the roof and realized that the shingles were brittle, snapped like crackers, and the pebbling was missing in several places. Because my roof was still under warrenty until the end of December, I contacted Chuck Floyd immediately. Ive talked to him twice and emailed all the documents to him twice. He has emphatically denied my warrenty both times.When he felt he couldnt get around the factual documentation, he denied doing the work because he couldnt find a record. He SCREAMED at me to provide canceled checks. He told me also to file with the manufacturers as hurricane damage. He knew if I did that it would void ANY warranty. Chuck told me more than once that he wasnt going to honor my purchased warranty and neither would anyone else. So far sadly he is right. When you buy a car and pay for an additional warranty and the engine blows up two month before the warranty runs out, do you expect the dealer to honor it? I bet your answer is yes. I contacted Certainteed and my warranty was never registered by Florida State Roofing. Certainteed said to file a claim any way. The problem is I need to spend mon

  This company did my roofing in 2011. It is 2019 and for 8 years I have a problem with this roof every single day. Its has been a battle. I called them multiple times for years. Never honor the warranty. I reported them to BBB. Got nothing from it. They did lousy job. Owner attitude very unprofessional. We paid $16,000 and now in the process of hiring another company to do entire roof again. I am shocked that thi company still in business. And believe me, every time it rains I remember Chuck and not in the good way. Good luck to you and God Bless you for wonderful job you did on my roof with your all Mexican crew. And we called them to ask to come and repair the damage. Chuck response was "Hire someone else because we are too busy. It's raining season."

  They took my money but did not fix the problem that they promised to fix. When I reported this to them they came to the house with nothing but excuses. They refused to fix the leak I paid them over $3000 to fix! Eventually a small contractor came by and fixed the leak for $100. These people are fools in my opinion.
