Don’t bother with this people. You can even get a quote from them.

Hi Vette1cruiser, Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe we have ever spoken. I can tell you that verbal and written estimates are provided from this company daily. If there were no estimates, there would be no work. You did mention a quote and a quote is a little different from an estimate. An estimate is exactly that, an estimate and 99% of the time an estimate from this company is the amount the customer will pay when the job is complete. A quote on the other hand is a guaranteed locked in price. Today we're facing major supply shortages on just about everything and seeing unprecedented material costs. For an example...a sheet of plywood can run well over $80.00 a sheet with tax, or one board can run well over $90.00 each and the list goes on and on. These are not marked up prices, these are the actual prices being paid! Material costs are going up daily. Today, most supplier quotes are only good for the day there given. Often, materials are on backorder and the sky is the limit on what the cost will be when they come in. Best regards!

Does not answer business phone or return calls, very unprofessional. I bought an estate home which does not have a wpi for the roof. We obtained a copy of the permit for the roof and found out Michael Tate replaced the roof. He will not return my calls. All I would like to know is why there is no paperwork for the roof. I now have to pay an engineer to inspect and certify the roof because the correct paperwork was not completed when the roof was replaced.

Hi Audrey, I'm sorry I didn't return the call yesterday as it was a sad day for me. I lost my Mom one year ago to the day. I did return the call today and left a voicemail. The message I have from Ruben Gutierrez states an address of a home he recently bought in Texas City, a permit that was supposedly issued to Michael Tate on November 01, 2007, and that he had some questions he'd like to discuss with me. I have no records of ever working on this home. Unlike today, twelve years ago, it wasn't as hard to pull a permit under another company's name. At one time, there was a lot of that going on with uninsured contractors.

Over the years I have several roofs done by Tate Roofing. Michael has always gone above and beyond, and his quality is second to none. I have had Michael help on several construction projects, and I am always pleased with the superior quality of his work. For roofing and repair projects you can't go wrong with Michael Tate Roofing. Highest quality and totally honest.

Michael Tate Roofing gives the top tier customer service and quality you don't see these days. Michael himself comes out and does the work by hand and even drives the nails with a hammer. You can't find that anywhere, it's quite the special touch. He came out for a free quote and even repaired and painted things I didn't even expect. I've used his service twice, once for a tiny leak(fixed the leak and knew exactly where it was coming from...wow) and second was to make a few repairs and touchups. His work is high quality and done by the man himself, please call him if you want an experience like mine(you won't regret it!!!)

Michael repaired two roof leaks for us, and did a great job at a very reasonable price. He was friendly, punctual, and very professional. He explained clearly what the repairs would involve and provided photos of the repair work. I would recommend Michael to anyone looking for good quality roof repairs at a fair and reasonable price!

Michael, just a thank you for noticing the defective shingles on my roof while you were here for our vent leak! We never would have known had we not had you out to check the vent! We took your advice to contact the shingle maker and they sent us a voucher to replace our whole roof! Looks like it will cover most of our out of pocket costs. We never would have thought a 9yo roof would need replacing. We appreciate you very much! You have saved us a few times with roof leaks...even after Hurricane Harvey, you were out quickly to ensure we would stay dry. I highly recommend Michael for all of your roof repairs!

Michael Tate was able to get me in same-day and I actually got very lucky when he squeezed in a consult within an hour. We had a small roof leak on one side of our house, which Michael quickly handled. We thought we had a leak in another part of the house, but he showed us what the real issue was and helped us with a quick fix. Micheal Tate is upbeat, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and he gave us peace of mind when we were worried about our house! Thank you!
