  Poor quality on roofing materials. Owner does not return phone calls when there is a defect issue.

  This has been a year and a half of constant leaks and hassles. Paid more than others for roof. Their contractors damaged driveway and gutters. Had to go thru hassle of claim. They left numerous Nails all over my yard. Then the leaks started three so far. They come and do a patch job each time I have a platinum warranty the last leak was 6 months ago and I have been trying to get somebody to paint stains on my walls and ceiling for 6 months. They came and took my paint away to match it now I keep calling the office just to see if I can get my paint back so I can paint it myself and there's been no response from the office for weeks some Platinum warranty this is. If I had to do this over again I would have never used this company do yourself a favor and find other roofers. Edit 7.21 another leak same place after they supposedly fixed it.i responded to the owners lies below it somehow disappeared. I have a video of water in my living room it won't let me post it.Edit 8/21 Brian came out to prove it wasn't the roof despite 2 independent roofers saying it was his shoddy work stuck tar in a hole to patch it up. He used profanity calling me a fooking blotch and crazy. Now he walks away. Guess it's court time. Do NOT use this company 2 years of problems and now I have mold. Would love to post pics. BTW Acoma roofing has helped me tremendously. Go with Acoma they are honest and professional. Check Brian cooks license it's not his! License suspended 8/1821 4/22update. Mold yes black mold months of remediation and Acoma fixed roof where merillat had stuffed tar inside hole in wood. Chimney flashing Which I paid merillat to do a new flashing was poorly done and leaked leaked Acoma fixed everything then I had the mold remediated and huge pieces of drywall taken out of the ceiling in my den then I had to have the drywall repaired after the mold remediation and all of it Resurfaced and then painted it just was complete last week last week and it is April 2022

  I would recommend hiring an independent third party to oversee any work, even if you are hiring this company through a general contractor. Additionally, personally inspect the work instead of relying on an inspector or general contractor.

  Recently moved to a house that has warranty from them. Previous owner was confident that they’ll take care of the repairs that was presented during the inspection. They have never addressed the issues! We will now be looking for more reliable roofer!

  This business is not good, they give you one price and one quote, then they charge you totally different amounts, not less, but more,this business is hwy robbery, be aware and do not deal with this company.

  Brian is a dirt bag. Didn’t stand behind his work roof started leaking and he won’t stand behind his work. Sent guys out to inspect and never heard back.said he lost a copy of the contract and said I had to produce it never gave us one he worked off the proposal. CAnt trust these guys! Changed the name of his company a couple times company used to be called Cooks coastal roofing.... buyer beware!!!

  0 stars. been trying to get a receipt since April stating that I paid and for my insurance company. Have called at least 15 times. No luck just excuses. Spoke to owner and said just hold your ass. Real professionalism. Don`t use them. Beware you were warned.

  New roof which was installed a few years ago--developed a problem. I received immediate response and problem area repaired promptly . Fantastic to have a problem solved without any delay. Wonderful experience. Thank you !

  Merillat Roofing recently replaced two roofs in my community. The entire team at Merillat Roofing was a breeze to deal with. From front office to project manager to the roofers, all aspects of my experience with the company was excellent. They showed up on time every time, they worked steadily throughout the day, they cleaned up each evening before they left and the job was completed on time and at the agreed up price. The project manager checked in each day and was on property to answer all questions. The front office dropped off samples and followed up during the project. I plan to use them again.

  Gave me an estimate quickly, got permits and started roof as promised. New roof was put on and everything cleaned up. They immediately followed up with final inspection. Easy and pleasant to deal with. Price was fair.

  About a month ago we began the process of replacing our roof. We spoke to multiple companies and hired what we thought to be a quality roofer based on our research and their reviews. The entire experience was nothing short of traumatizing. After discovering rotten wood, improperly installed materials, and experiencing constant water intrusion from our brand-new roof we began to feel hopeless; Then we contacted Merillat Roofing to see if they could help. The entire Team went above and beyond to help us navigate what we were going through and had our new roof permitted, financed and installed within a weeks’ time. The Team genuinely cared about what we were going through and did everything they could to help the process go smoothly. The Team was professional, supportive and kind, and the final product is beautiful. We are so happy that we found a company that cared about our home as much as we do.   As many of our friends know, our story has been a long and emotional one. Our roof was first damaged during Tropical Storm Debbie in August 2024. We had to pack out our entire 2nd and 3rd floors to begin repairs—and while our life’s possessions sat in a POD, Hurricane Helene struck, followed by Hurricane Milton, causing even more damage. Like so many of our friends and neighbors, we faced devastation we never imagined. From navigating city delays to permit issues and unexpected repairs, it’s been nine long months to reach the finish line. We truly cannot thank Brian Cook and his incredible team at Merillat Roofing enough. From the start, they were there—offering temporary fixes, constant communication, and genuine care. What began as a repair turned into a full roof replacement, and through every step, Brian and his team were patient, kind, and empathetic. Their professionalism, positive attitude, and daily presence brought us comfort during the most difficult chapter of our lives. We met with six roofing companies, and none came close to the level of trust and confidence we felt with Brian. His pricing was fair, his communication top-notch, the site was kept clean, and the final result is flawless. Now, finally, we can begin to rebuild the inside of our home.   Insurance company requested attention to both of my metal flat roofs ( not the main home roof), or they would cancel my policy. Brian was quick to get an inspection and a crew to fix the problem. Any time we have a concern they are quick to respond. Very caring company. The staff are very nice and understanding . I have used this company since 2016
