If you are a Home Seller DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE ON YOUR PROPERTY FOR A "ROOF INSPECTION" or you are going to pay a steep price. This is the definition of the Fox watching the Hen house because of course for a ridiculous price they will perform the repairs. One of two thigs will happen to you with 100% guarantee. #1) You will get an inspection report stating that your roof is in desperate need of repairs or it will leak most likely this winter. (this scares the hell out of buyers) The most common and costly finding is the "Need to clean all valley gutters" scam that these types of profit centers write. This is going to cost you serious money to repair and once an inspection report is issued on a property it becomes legally attached to the property sale moving forward and must be dealt with. #2) The buyer either uses these inflated costs of repairs to demand money back from you or in some cases they are terrified enough with their findings they will completely back out of you sale offer all together. Losing a strong buyer with a good initial offer in the middle escrow has so many costs associated with it. Besides starting over in the process you only have one opportunity to list your house and that initial opening is where money is made. You will never have that opportunity once it is lost. A costly loss. I recommend finding a local roofing company who for a few hundred dollars will simply come out and inspect the roof without pricing the repairs

Hi Jessee, we have been unable to locate any record of an inspection or project under your name, or matching your description, across any of our 30 team members' recent accounts. Because we take our 4.9-star reputation and customer experience incredibly seriously, we thoroughly investigate every piece of feedback. Based on our research, it appears you may be located in Texas, whereas Loveland Roofing operates locally here in California. It is highly likely this review was intended for a different roofing company with a similar name. If we are mistaken and we did somehow cross paths, please give me a call directly at 916-761-7455 so I can look into this immediately. Otherwise, we kindly ask that you remove or relocate this review to the correct business. Thank you! – Jon Loveland, Owner

We got off the a rough start with the crew not knowing what the total job included. I had to call them back to finish and they did return a few days later without notifying me they were comming. I believe they did the job correctly. I am more used to better engagement from the managers of the company and was suprised they rely on the customer to supervise the crews.

Hello Mike — this is Jon Loveland, one of the owners of Loveland Roofing. Thank you again for taking my call today and for taking the time to walk through your experience with me. I want to be very clear and transparent for anyone reading this: we missed the mark on communication at the start of this project. There was a breakdown between the agreed scope of work and what our production team initially completed, and that is on us — not on you. That is not the standard we hold ourselves to, and it’s not the Loveland Roofing way. Mike, I sincerely apologize that you were on the receiving end of that lapse. We’ve addressed the internal process that caused the issue to ensure this doesn’t happen again, and I appreciate the opportunity to make it right. Your feedback is genuinely valuable to us. Customers like you help us sharpen our systems, raise our standards, and continue moving forward as a company. Thank you again for your honesty and understanding. — Jon Loveland

DO NOT use these guys. Talk a big sales game, but they don't know roofing! Had them come out for 2 roof leaks. They came out, said they would fix the leaks and do some needed maintenance. After the next rain came the leaks were not repaired. They wanted an additional $1,500.00 to fix what they originally charged $5,000.00 to fix. Told me "it wasn't raining when I came out the first time". I had a reputable roofing company fix the leaks. State Contractors Board and the Better Business Bureau are my next calls. Then it's small claims court. DO NOT use Loveland Roofing!! Jon from Loveland called me AFTER I posted this review. No resolution was obtained, just his reasoning why the leaks were not repaired. Jon did not mention in his reply to my review that he fired the salesman who wrote the quote, and that I tried to call him directly to no prevail when the leaks were not repaired. Jon also failed to mention that the initial phone call to Loveland was for roof LEAKS! I did not call you guys to come out and do any kind of roof maintenance when I had a leaking roof? Jon will not admit their sales person was wrong and sold a service we did not need, and his office and management staff did not find my situation serious enough at the time to warrant forwarding my call to him. Loveland screwed us, that simple.

Dave, we’re sorry you feel this way. We take every concern seriously, which is why ownership personally spent extensive time speaking with you to understand your frustration and attempt to resolve your concerns. To clarify for anyone reading this: the original inspection identified maintenance items in specific areas of the roof, which were clearly listed in the written estimate you reviewed and approved - including detailed descriptions and photos. That scope of work was completed, documented with before-and-after photos, paid in full, and covered by warranty for the areas we worked on. The two active leaks you referenced were not included in that original scope. They were located in completely different sections of the roof that had not been previously repaired. When the leaks persisted after the next rain, we returned, re-evaluated, and provided a new, separate estimate to address those additional repairs. At that point, you chose to hire another contractor to perform that work, which was of course your right. We stand firmly behind our workmanship and warranty, and we routinely correct any issues related to work we’ve performed—no hesitation. In this case, however, the leaks were unrelated to the completed maintenance and occurred in areas we had not been contracted to repair. We understand how stressful roof issues can be, and we genuinely regret that this situation ended on a negative note. Transparency, clear scopes of work, and standing behind what we do are core to how we operate. We encourage any prospective customer to review written estimates carefully and ask questions up front—we’re always happy to walk through details before work begins. We wish you the best moving forward. — Owners, Jon Loveland & Mike Loveland

Terrible company, with the slowdown in the housing market, my experience is this company produced an inspection and subsequent quote to get business, shameful. I do not recommend them, only person to speak with is a receptionist, they buffer speaking to their management, I will stay far clear from them. UPDATE to your responses, email sent with specifics.....shame, disgraceful and unprofessional, will never do business with Loveland again.

Response from the owners: Hi Kurt, We are sorry to hear about your frustration. We’d like to clarify a few important details for anyone reading: 1. We did not install or alter your roof. Our role was limited to performing two courtesy inspection reports, 18 months apart. Both reports were visual-only evaluations. As clearly stated in the disclaimers you received, these reports did not offer any "lifetime warranties" or certifications on any previous work done by other contractors. 2. Roofs at 25–30 years are at the end of their natural life. Your roof is in that range now and is on the border of needing replacement. These types of shingles typically last 25–30 years under Northern California conditions. In February 2024, our inspector noted the roof had approximately 5–9 years of life remaining with minor repairs. By August 2025, another inspector found worsening wear and recommended replacement — a professional opinion that is normal given the age and condition. 3. Inspections are subjective by nature. Because your roof is right on the border of needing replacement, it’s normal to receive a wide range of opinions. Ten different roofing companies will likely give you ten different recommendations. That doesn’t mean one contractor is “fraudulent” and another “honest” — it simply reflects differences in professional judgment. Our reports are estimates of the roof’s condition and recommendations based on what we observed at the time. They are not guarantees, warranties, or certifications. If you choose to hire us for work, then of course our warranties would apply to a future completed project. To use a car metaphor: imagine you have a vehicle with 200,000 miles and ask a mechanic how much longer it might last. The mechanic may reasonably say, “It could have another few years of life left, but there’s no way to know for sure.” If that car breaks down six months later, it wouldn’t be fair to accuse the mechanic of being dishonest or demand they replace the car. Hello Mary, this is the owner and founder of the company, Mike Loveland. I apologize for any misunderstanding or miscommunication received. I assure you that this is not the Loveland Roofing way of doing things, and it sounds like one of our office staff misunderstood our discount policy. You do in fact have a discount marked at the bottom of your invoice. We have actually tried to get a hold of you multiple times both before and after the job was done to update you throughout the process. Our office staff and our Project Manager have also attempted to contact you, but have not heard back. I have also personally called, texted, and left a voicemail with you, but have not heard back. It seems like we are having a very hard time reaching you. Please respond, and we are happy to get you taken care of. Thank you. 💜

Loveland Roofing first repaired my roof in 2015. Their work came with a 30-year warranty. During several windstorms in December of 2022 and January 2023, huge portions of the roof blew, damaging two grills in our backyard. It took several calls to get the repairs scheduled. Once the major repairs were completed on January 27th, I reached out on five different occasions asking about the promised compensation for the two grills, as well completion of some minor details, including having the workers return to retrieve the ladder they had left on our roof. To date, I have yet to hear back from anyone in charge . . .

Hi Sigrid, Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review and for recognizing Felicia, Maria, Anthony, Michelle, and Sean! We are so proud of our team for their hard work, patience, and dedication to helping you navigate the discontinued shingle issue. We completely understand how frustrating dealing with a manufacturer's warranty can be. While we always strive to go above and beyond for our clients, manufacturer claims with CertainTeed are a legal agreement strictly between the homeowner and the manufacturer. By law and liability regulations, roofing contractors are not permitted to initiate, package, or submit product warranty claims on a homeowner's behalf. We'd love to help you ship your items, but we simply are not allowed to do so. Our team remains happy to assist by providing you with the exact CertainTeed claim links, direct phone lines, and any proof-of-purchase documents from your installation to make the process as seamless as possible for you. Thank you again for choosing Loveland Roofing, and we appreciate your business!
