  Company lies about what they can do and what they will install versus what they actually do. They don't know how to handle all types of chimneys but tell, will tell you they do. Until the subcontractor comes and says that they don't handle them. And make sure that you get all of your gutters and not just certain ones because they won't tell you until afterwards which ones they won't do because of some reason behind it. They omit factors until after you are done with the project and paid.

  Hi Kevin, One thing our company does not do is lie to our customers, we are very transparent. Unfortunately in our line of work a lot of customers are not familiar with product(s) and or the service they are purchasing. We do our best to explain things to all of our customers, but not all customers are receptive to understanding things they're unfamiliar with. The "chimney" you're referring to is an exhaust pipe for your furnace or wood burning stove. Our supervisor was just advising you that the exhaust pipe was not in the greatest condition. He mentioned that if you have any issues with it in the future then you would need to have a HVAC company repair or replace it. We do not offer that service, it was just a kind gesture to let you know his findings while installing the roof. As far as the gutters go, we replaced all of the gutters on your house and garage as contracted. The gutter you're accusing us of not replacing is not an external gutter that can be replaced. It is a drain system that is built into the awning on the front of your house, we cannot replace that.   Service was quick and clean up great. The leaf exterminator, for which we paid $1,341.00 failed, and debris got into the gutters. Because neither my husband nor I could climb the ladder, we ended up paying another contractor to inspect, and were told it had been a faulty installation (before even a year was up). It cost an additional $1100.00, which we paid, and Lockhart refused to offer any relief because we had no proof that their installation was faulty. Let me assure you, we don't have that kind of money to just throw away, and would not have replaced the leaf guard if we didn't have to.

  Kathleen, Sorry for the delay in response, we've been closed for the Christmas holiday. In May 2024 we installed a new roof and gutter covers on your home. We did not install new gutters, you opted to not have new gutters installed. The job was paid in full in June 2024, and you were sent your warranties. You never contacted our office with any concerns or issues with the covers. In August 2024 we received a letter demanding a refund. The letter stated you had a neighbor check out your gutter covers and he told you they were installed incorrectly. We had our representative immediately reach out to you in regards to to the letter sent. At that time you stated you paid the neighbor to remove the covers, install new covers and disposed of the covers we installed. We asked if you had any proof, such as pictures to show what the issues were with the covers and you stated you didn't have any. We were never given any opportunity to assess the gutter covers for any issues. The product had a warranty as well as a workmanship warranty, and you had someone remove it and throw it away. We cannont refund you for the gutter covers that you had removed by your neighbor and thrown away. We have a answering service that answers our phones 24/7, 365 days a year. We never received any calls regarding any issues with the gutter covers. We have been in business over 40 years and have a great reputation by always taking care of any issues before, during and after completion. In the future you should always give a business the opportunity to assess and make any repairs, if needed to products they install. It's unfortunate but we cannot be responsible to refund you in this siltation, it wasn't handled correctly. You've made multiple attempts on different platforms to slander our company and we won't be bullied into refunding you in this situation.

  My elderly uncle had his roof replaced. End result was bill was $1000s higher than original quote and they billed him for work not done. And damaged his house causing more expense. I am helping him contact better business bureau and MI attorney General. These people should be exposed. They will not make this right.

  Phyllis,You must have our company confused with another company. We have no “Tysver” customers in our database. We would never charge anyone more than what was on our contract, and we never bill any of our customers until all the work is completed. If your uncle truly is a customer of ours and his bill was more, there must have been additional work that needed to be done on his home. All of that would have been on our contract with him, and explained to him before and during the process of the job. We are A+ rated with BBB and would be happy to go thru them to get this resolved. Slandering a company online when you’ve never even spoken to them isn’t the proper way of handling a problem, if in fact there is a problem. Our phone number is 810-235-9866.   I had work done from these "dumpers" years ago. Shingles lifted, roof leaked, over-priced, poor crew skills. After several rains, I found my roof had been leaking heavily and I couldn't find the reason. I went into the attic and then on the roof and found that there was absolutely NO step-flashing against my headwall and water was pouring in there! I did my own roof repairs (which I should have done in the beginning) and they turned out fine! And that doesn't include the so-called siding job I also had done. Cracks, breaks, missing and bent pieces; installed doors not working correctly, overall shoddy workmanship through-out. Never again!

  Hi Randy, We searched our database and do not show any record of you as a customer for either a roofing or siding project. We would never install a roof without using counter flashing at the headwall (not step flashing). Our location and phone number have been the same for over 40 years and we stand behind and warranty every job we do.

  WARNING!!!I received my estimate for a 30 square shingle roof, 2 flat balcony roofs and gutters on September 1st 2021. After some back and forth trying to get them to go DOWN on the the price, on September 22nd I told Nick the estimator I am ready to go forward on their quoted price. He hits me with it will be $1,400 MORE due to price increases even though the quote says it is valid for 30 days. I spoke to Dan the office manager, who was very courteous, to no avail and I suggested they amend their quote to say "*subject to immediate price increases" so customer like ourselves know that while we are spending time getting other quotes and making a decision, the price may go up substantially when we call back and are ready to hire. THE QUOTE IS ONLY VALID OF YOU SIGN THE SAME DAY THEY COME OUT! I just find it odd that they probably would have still made money on the job at the original price but still didn't want to take it without fully passing on all the additional cost onto the customer. What can you do...*update: october 17, 2021 Lockhart roofing has sent a legal letter threatening to sue me if I do not remove this review. Bullying much? Nothing I have said in this review is unfactual as to my knowledge.

  Yes, you received a free estimate on 8/31/21 from our company for shingle roofing, rubber roofing and aluminum gutters. That estimate was never signed, therefore you had no contract with Lockhart Roofing. At this time we’re unable to offer any additional discounts, which is what you asked for multiple times. For over 40 years we’ve been able to hold pricing for 30 days for free estimate but unfortunately this pandemic has changed the building industry drastically. We made you aware of these changes before any contract was signed to avoid future issues. We took your suggestion and removed that from the free estimate form, to avoid issues moving forward. The building industry is struggling during this “post pandemic” time. Recently the aluminum pricing has hit a all time high and continues to raise, the insulation board used for rubber roofing is unobtainable at this point and shingle manufacturers have had to stop production on over half of the types, styles and colors due to the overwhelming demand and other issues arising from this pandemic. Our prices from our suppliers are being raised constantly and unfortunately it’s beyond our control. Some materials are non existent at this point, and it’s uncertain when items will be available. Our suppliers pricing does change without notice at times. If you’ve dealt with any building or remodeling at this time you would know that although it’s unfortunate the pricing is fluctuating constantly. While we’re unable to help you with your project for your rental home we wish you the best moving forward.

  2 stars because the gentleman who did the venting was fantastic, and the roof looks nice. However, the roofing crew did not care one bit about the safety and well being of my home. They threw the single packs down on the roof over and over causing my entire house to shake and things come off the walls. This is NOT ok. A basement window is now cracked.. The supplier that delivered the shingles was gentler than these guys. Also, they left a small bucket worth of roofing nails around my house, and even more just sitting in my gutters. I have a small child and pets that could have found these before we did! Plastic from the shingles packs was all over my lawn as well. I was also told that I would be getting additional downspouts with my gutters as the number of existing downspouts was not sufficient... that did not happen. Again, 2 stars simply because the gentleman who did the soffit vents was amazing and tried to rectify the roofer situation. Will never use again and do not recommend them at all.

  The crew did not install to code and the owner was ignorant of those requirements. However the director of enforcement at LARA said he would take a complaint . The manager said the owner was confused. Fast work and good clean up does not make up for violating protection required by code. "Caveat emptor". Two stars because it looks good.

  We had a great experience with Lockhart Roofing from start to finish. The crew was professional, arrived on time, and kept us informed throughout the entire process. They took the time to walk us through each step of the project and patiently answered all of our questions, which gave us a lot of confidence in the work being done. We had our roof and gutters replaced, and the quality of the workmanship was excellent. The crew worked efficiently, paid attention to detail, and made sure everything was completed to a high standard. Our new roof and gutters look fantastic. One thing that really stood out was the cleanup. When the job was finished, they thoroughly cleaned the work area and left our property looking great. If you are looking for a roofing company that is professional, dependable, and does outstanding work, I highly recommend Lockhart Roofing. We could not be happier with the results.

  We recently had our roof done by Lockhart, they were among four quotes we had and we chose Lockhart as a recommendation from my mom observing their work for years, and moreover because of the clear and specific approach Nick provided us when reviewing our attic thoroughly to address black decking concerns and provided us a scope for problem solving that we understood well compared to the other companies we had estimates that gave us little to no detail at all about our decking situation, the dead valley spot on our roof, and what we needed to improve our ventilation. We also had new gutters added to improve water flow problems during big storms. Nick has been excellent to work with, the choice of colors and product quality, helping scope the level of work, and the team who did the labor, Terry and the leads Jason and Joel were so professional to work with, very thorough in their process, and did a good clean up too. We are very happy with our new roof and recommend Lockhart for their quality of workmanship!

  The men worked very fast and it was 89 degrees out. They all cleaned up the mess after and left no debris. We are very happy with the workmanship. Thank you to the salesman, roofers and all that had a part in our roofing project.

  Excellent customer service. Had a new roof replaced within a day. Updated along the way from appraisal to completion of job. Roof looks great and company did great on clean up of nails and supplies when job done. Definitely recommend for roof replacement.

  Quick but thorough initial assessment. No high pressure sales tactics: he just gave us the estimate and left to let us decide. The workers were quick and cleaned up after themselves. The roof looks great and doesn't leak. We got a 768 sq ft roof redone, front soffits redone, and quite a bit of wood replaced for under $8,000. We'll also be getting a discount on our homeowners insurance because of the new class 3 impact resistant shingles. I have no complaints. It was a great deal, great work, and great overall experience. 10/10, would recommend.

  Lockhart installed new gutters on our house a few years ago so when it came time for a new roof they were the first people I called. Gary had the best quote out of seven companies and everyone was super friendly from the guys who delivered the supplies to the roofers doing the installation. Hands down. Would recommend them to anyone.
