I don’t feel like this company is very transparent. I had them come out for an estimate which was basically me giving them my insurance claim and them taking all 33,000 plus of the money and wanting more. I never received a detailed bill, which I did ask for. I have no clue as to what was actually done because the contract I signed (stupidly) was very basic as to what they were doing. I felt very pressured to singing the contract and giving Gene a 2,000 cash deposit. I told him I was waiting on one estimate and he was very pushy about me signing and giving him the money. I definitely felt taken advantage of and uncomfortable but that was my fault for singing it. My brother in law had told them that he was going to rip off my deck so that I could save the 1,400 they added to the total cost. They didn’t listen to him because I came home from work and they had tore it off anyway. Leaving me owing them 1,400. I still have no idea what was actually done under my roof and siding before applying both. I was supposed to get white trim, I came home to grey trim. They put my old chimney cap back in which was beat all to hell. It actually flew off a couple days after they were “done” with the work and then they replaced it with a new one. They left their lift machine on wood that was a barrier around my side door breaking the wood. I had to have them come back out and clean up all the nails that were left around my yard. They threw out my doorbell. I was told they would put my new light fixtures on. Which they did after I asked the guy about it and he was annoyed. He said well if it’s an easy install. Luckily I was home or that would have never happened. They have all ready had to come out and fix siding that they installed because it was slipping. Some of my downspouts have all ready broken because they are cheap and fragile. You would think that 35,000 plus would cover a job to be done correct. If I could go back I would have gone with my first instinct and go with the comp

In June of 2024 Salesman and I felt that new roof would fix the leak. $20,000+ later and 3 month wait time to install roof , we find out that the chimney is leaking and not the roof. The Salesman went up on the roof and pumped some sealer into an area that he thought would slow the leak. I paid him extra $ to do this. Salesman conveyed message when deposit for job was made that any permits or paperwork needed to do this job would be taken care of by Kangaroo. NOT THE CASE, I had to apply to the town for a building permit prior to the job start. Extra time and expense on my end. Leak continued after roof installed. I was told someone would come on a Saturday morning to check for a leak. I waited until 2 PM. No one showed. I called again to ask when someone would arrive, I was told they would not show until Sunday. I waited all day Sunday - no one showed. I called Monday and I was told that someone did come on Saturday late in the day. POOR COMMUNICATION HERE. Two more things worth mentioning here. The Salesman was obviously not experienced enough to realize that the chimney was leaking and a new roof would not solve that problem. The crew of 7 from Ecuador that installed the roof completed the entire 40 square job in one day. WOW. Very Nice people but they can't speak English. I can't post a photo of the roof or chimney leak as I do not know how to save a Google photo. In summary, I am not a happy camper as water still runs down the wall.

Three years ago Lakeside Kanga Roof installed a metal roof on our home. As expected, we signed a contract & made a down payment equal to one third of the price. The roof performed fine over those three years. During the summer of 2024 an …

A deposit was made for approximately $5,000 for the materials for a new roof. The materials were NEVER installed and this company has refused to give us a refund and refused to give us the materials we paid for. I have been calling and emailing for over 6 months and have gotten no where

I called Lakeside Kanga roofing for a quote on installing a standing seam metal roof. The Company assured me that they could install a standing seam metal roof and they claimed to be professionals and guaranteed that I would be 100% satisfied with their work, as they frequently handle this type of roof installation. However, when the crew arrived which they were on time, I provided them with the manufacturer's instructions on how to install the roof. To my surprise, the foreman confidently stated that he didn't need instructions as he already knew how to install the roof. Throughout the installation process, I had to stop them multiple times to correct their mistakes. Unfortunately, they completely ignored my instructions and continued with their flawed installation approach. Due to time constraints, I couldn't halt their work and ask them to leave, which in retrospect would have been the best course of action. The end result is an improperly installed roof that looks terrible. I am extremely dissatisfied with their work, and every time I approach the building, I am reminded of their poor installation job. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company for standing seam roof installations.

I would never recommend this company. The only good thing I can say is the roof they installed on my house is of good quality and done correctly. They did not contact me to start the job at the time my contract indicated and I had to call incessantly to get them to begin. Most of the time they never returned my calls. They started a month and a half late and didn't finish the job and put the gutters on for another 3 months and only after I hounded them. This was a huge sum of money that I had to use my IRA account to cover and I because I took it out to pay them the month they were contracted to do the job I lost months of gains at a time when the markets were still good. They also didn't clean up when the finished the job and I found screws, etc. in my driveway and elsewhere on my property.

It was a pleasure working with Lakeside Kanga Roof to replace the back side of my garage roof. They were very professional, prompt, and very neat! Not one nail left from stripping the old roofing. Would definitely recommend them to others as my daughter recommended them to me!

Literally wouldn’t know what I would do without these guys.I had buckets on stand by all over my house because I could never tell when water was gonna come pouring in.Now I don’t have any buckets on stand by and my roof isn’t leaking anymore. The clean up was as the job progressed I didn’t have a big mess just sitting in my yard all day. Then after they were done they went through my front yard and back yard to make sure there wasn’t anything hidden in the grass because of my dogs.I deeply appreciate the professionalism they had and the amazing work that they did repairing my roof!!! The crew was polite and respectful. Thank you so much for not declining the job like previous companies had!

The crew did HOP TO IT when they had the needed materials, unfortunately wrong color of drip edge was sent and too few shingles were sent which slowed down their hopping.

Excellent quality and attention to detail. I would (and I did - different property) hire them again. Their method of debris removal kept the entire site clean the whole time. That part was impressive. I can definitely recommend them. (And this was NOT my first roofing contract...)
