I really have debated writing this review but I feel that while the job we asked for was technically completed it’s not completed well and the headache of getting there is not how I feel a business should run. We had John come to quote us for replacing the tub in our primary bath as the tub had cracked. John came out in January to take a look and give us a quote. The tub was on back order so we were told it wouldn’t be here til March. When the first tub arrived it was not the right size … I’ll spare you all the novel but various tubs later with various issues - we finally got our 5th and final tub installed in May. We picked tile and got all that finished and then had the sidewall put back in. After the job was “completed” my husband and I noticed some gapping between the tub and the sidewall. John did send the guy out the next day to fix it but now that it is officially completed I’m still finding issues - the grout comes lose everytime I clean the tub, the wall next to the tub is missing a chunk, the tub plug is super finicky, etc. I’m sure the response will be oh just let him know and he will fix it, but when this process has been a headache the whole time I’m really not excited to have anyone come out again. Aside from that I shouldn’t have to nitpick a job to get it to be done right. I will say I’m giving 2 stars because some of this was out of John’s control- I understand delays happen and John did cover the labor for all the tub drama but I’m still not happy with the work done and I feel like it’s unfinished.

Extremely disappointed to see this. While I agree, there were multiple issues getting the special order tub in, as you are aware, we had zero control over the shipping companies damages or manufacturer errors. It was a comedy of errors that I apologized for on a regular basis in person and via email, although I could do nothing to speed the process up. I felt terrible, so much so that I gave you everything AT COST. Labor AND materials. We made nothing at all on your job, in fact we lost nearly $500 due to the broken tub skirt we had to replace at our cost. I told you and Loren that I wanted to make sure you were happy and would gladly come back and do whatever you needed if there were any issues at all. I sent Loren an email after I saw this review, again saying that all you had to do was reach out to us rather than post a bad review to hurt our small local business. We received no response. We pride ourselves in bending over backwards to make sure our clients are happy, even if we lose money, because we do our utmost to keep our word. I gladly would have come back to fix anything you felt was unfinished, I was literally there the last day and you said nothing at all about anything you were unhappy with. I would have gladly fixed whatever you wanted to avoid this entire post, and that offer always stands.

I had a highly disappointing experience with JC Residential. Initially, the service seemed satisfactory: roof and drywall work proceeded on schedule, and everyone appeared punctual. However, after payment was completed, the quality of service declined significantly. The drywall repair in my master bathroom was poorly executed. Despite two attempts by the company to fix the texture issue, the results remained unsatisfactory. My attempts to contact John on July 29th for further resolution went unanswered. I eventually hired another company, which resolved the issue effectively. Additionally, mold remediation in my daughter's bathroom was poorly handled. The mold, initially deemed surface level, was treated with bleach and paint. Unfortunately, within three weeks, the mold returned and began spreading. Despite contacting John on August 23rd, and being assured a visit on August 26th, I received no follow-up. I had to arrange for a mold inspector on August 30th, who found the problem had worsened, rendering the bathroom unusable. Further, after John assured me that only pipe sealing was needed for my roof, I found multiple unresolved issues upon having another roofer inspect it. Throughout this process, John failed to return for any inspections or further resolution, even after being informed about the unresolved mold issue. I am writing this review to caution potential customers about serious safety concerns and inadequate service. Thankfully, I've found a different company for mold remediation, but the lack of response and ineffective action from this company was deeply troubling. ***Updated***My home was built in 2014, and my roof is barely 10 years old. If I had been informed that it needed replacement following Hurricane Beryl, I would have had it replaced at that time, as safety of my family is a priority over saving money. However, you only informed that the pipes on the roof needed to be sealed. The review will remain as everything I've stated is factual. I co

Very disappointed to see this review. Jennifer, you have my personal 24-hour text number, my personal email address, and our office phone number, yet I have not spoken to you at all because you never reached out to me about any of these issues except for the non-matching paint/drywall. I was notified the paint did not match, and payment would be withheld until it was done correctly, and I immediately rectified that and sent Mike back out. He was instructed not to leave until you or your husband said you were happy with the result. I assumed everything was fine because neither you nor your husband contacted me about it again and you paid the bill that day. We have no record of you calling the office on 8/23 and you were not on my schedule for 8/26. If you talked to the office then, I was not made aware. I would have gladly responded and handled any other issue had I known. We were dealing with over 300 calls from hurricane Beryl though, so perhaps the message got lost during all the emergency repairs we were doing. If that is the case, I am truly sorry. I wish you would have just text me directly if you felt you weren't being taken care of, as for nearly a decade we've prided ourselves on going above and beyond for our literally thousands of happy clients. We aren't perfect, but we always strive to be. As far as the roof, I told you on day one it was old and needed to be replaced but resealing it would buy you time and save you money. Of course I didn't return for further inspections, because you never contacted me that there were any other issues with the roof. Again, if we dropped the ball on communication somewhere along the way, I apologize, but this could have EASILY been remedied by just speaking to me personally rather than leaving this poor review that I truly hope you consider removing.

My neighbor used this company last week to do her roof. Unfortunately we had to finish the job. This comapany left shingles, nails, trash, and other roofing material in our driveway and yard. They also ruined the front part of my lawn [parked on the grass.] For future potential customers and neighbors beware. If this company does not care about the details, imagine the sloppy roofing job they did.

    Reply from the business

We're very disappointed to see this false review, especially since we have no idea who this person is (a competitor?) and they clearly state they are not even our client but a "neighbor"!? 1. Our company owner personally walks every single job with the homeowner when the job is completed to ensure their satisfaction and make sure nothing was missed. If trash was left everywhere then there is no way on earth the homeowner would have signed off and paid us and our owner definitely would never allow that. During a roof job literally 20,000+ nails are typically used. Even with a thorough cleanup, some can be missed, which is why our owner tells the homeowner during every walkthrough that if they find an inordinate amount of nails to contact us immediately and he will personally go back out and run the magnets himself to ensure we get them all. 2. We can not and do not ever park on anyone's lawn. The weight of a large truck and dump trailer with literally tons of debris would sink in the mud and leave us stranded, not to mention most lawns are full of landscaping so parking in a lawn simply doesn't happen. 3. Look at the last 4 years of reviews on any site, and we have perfect stellar ratings. We have that for a reason, because quality is a huge priority to us. If anyone has an issue with our work or cleanup, all they had to do was make a call and the problem would have been solved without the need for trying to hurt our local business reputation without giving us a chance to fix the issue.

We used JC’s residential to have a minor hole in the wall patched. John was quick to check out the damaged wall and had someone on site the next day to complete the job. The patch was completed quickly, the texture matched the rest of the wall, and he left the room as clean as he found it.
