  The shorter review version will be: "Stay Away from this company". We hired this company to replace our roof seven months ago (July, 2025). Unfortunately, the entire experience has been extremely disappointing and unprofessional. Communication throughout the process has been awful, promises were repeatedly made and not fulfilled, and commitments were ignored. They got the permit from the city in about a month (Aug, 2025), in my opinion, because they did not follow the appropriate steps to submit it. After multiples attempts to get the project moved, they started the job on November, 2025. It included the removal of multiple skylights, which was done with no dust containment measures. Construction dust spread throughout our entire home, requiring extensive cleaning with no accountability. Seven months later, the roofing project is still unfinished. The city permit is about to expire and no inspections were performed to ensure the work met code compliance, which raises serious concerns about safety and quality. Replacing a roof is a significant investment. Homeowners should expect professionalism, accountability, timely completion, and code-compliant work. Sadly, this company failed in all of these areas, and our experience has been extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

We’ve worked hard at earning the respect and appreciation of our many wonderful clients that know what great quality service is. These are people that respect their time and money and the time and work of others. Out of gratitude and respect to the thousands of clients that have trusted us since 1985 as well as any South Florida homeowner that wants the absolute best service, and to be able to serve them with priority, we are charging for our roof assessments. $350 for new clients and $250 for existing clients. Allow me to explain why we charge for our services. Our clients trust us to deliver the highest quality service with integrity and pride, and we do so on a consistent basis. Hurricane Irma has created an overload of requests for estimates. This is largely due to insurance companies asking their customers to request multiple estimates in order to file a claim. Unfortunately many homeowners attempt to claim insurance funds for unnecessary repairs or no damage at all. And most of these homeowners won’t go ahead with the work proposed unless their insurance claim is approved. What this means is unless we charge for our services we won’t be able to serve the homeowners with a serious need. The most important reason we charge for our services though is to be able to serve our loyal clients first and foremost. If we were to offer free roofing services we would never be able to serve our clients and those who want a high level of professional service. Every homeowner that calls us has the opportunity to either buy a professional roof assessment and consulting service from Istueta Roofing or to look for service from others that might not be directly charging for their roof estimates.   Unfortunately taking advantage of Hurricane victims is a terrible thing. I was floored by them telling me they are charging $350 dollars for an estimate that is a lot of money for an estimate. A more nominal cost would've been more acceptable. Just another company taking advantage of consumers.
