  Wouldn’t honor warranty. Won’t respond. I advise everyone to withhold all payment until inspected by a 3rd party. Expensive lesson.

  Apparently they DO NOT Honor Warranties on work done prior to December 2024 because of the technicality of having new management, despite having the same name- are you kidding me? The audacity to instead offer a discount on new work. This doesn’t end here.

  Used these guys in 2020 to replace a roof and they hit all the right notes. Competitively priced, offered same, if not more, options in terms of roof tile, addressed all of our questions quickly and completely and got the job done on time and on budget. The crew worked so fast and efficiently that it makes sense why they can be the best AND the most competitive in price. Used them again a couple of years ago and had a completely different experience. Company changed hands and no one stands behind their work. After only two years, insurance made us reroof before extending our policy. Too bad, they went for first to worst.

  My recent ordeal with A&E Brothers Roofing compels me to share a cautionary tale, hoping to spare others the significant frustration and financial burden I have endured. Approximately three years ago, I hired A&E Brothers Roofing to replace my roof at my home. The work specifically involved installing new metal roofing on the sloped sections and completely replacing the flat roof portion. My decision was based on the understanding that I was investing in a durable solution, expertly installed, that would provide lasting protection for my home. The contract included specific assurances regarding the quality of materials and workmanship, and I relied heavily on these explicit and implied warranties as a cornerstone of our agreement. However, my peace of mind proved tragically short-lived. Just recently, a mere three years after the installation, the flat section of my roof developed extensive and damaging leaks. This premature failure, particularly on such a critical component of the roofing system, was alarming. Upon reviewing my original contract, I fully expected the company to stand by their commitments and address this issue under the terms of our agreement. My attempts to seek redress were met with an astonishing revelation: A&E Brothers Roofing had undergone a change of ownership. While the new entity continues to operate under the identical business name, effectively trading on the established reputation and goodwill of its predecessor, I was unequivocally informed that they would not honor any warranties or contractual obligations made under the previous ownership. This situation presents not merely a logistical challenge but a profound ethical breach. To maintain the same corporate identity and branding, thereby implying continuity and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction, while simultaneously disavowing fundamental responsibilities to pre-existing clients, is deeply misleading and, frankly, unconscionable.   We recently had our roof done by A&E Brothers, and unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing. While the initial 25% of the process went smoothly, everything quickly went downhill, leading us to give them two stars out of five. From what we understand, the company is undergoing internal restructuring after being lost to creditors. This created a revolving door of employees, including the salesperson, permit coordinator, and project manager we initially worked with, all of whom were no longer with the company before our project was completed. What should have been a straightforward process ended up taking over three months from the signing of the contract. The issues we faced were numerous: Material Quality: The materials delivered were subpar, requiring us to inspect everything ourselves and insist on replacements. Workmanship: The fascia and soffit work were extremely poor. Despite giving the company several opportunities to fix it and escalating our concerns, we eventually had to hire another company to redo the job. Project Management: We had endless back-and-forth conversations with office staff and on-site workers. One project manager admitted the fascia work needed to be redone, but he was fired shortly afterward. His replacement dismissed our concerns with excuses. Inspection Issues: The company closed the roof and called for the final inspection without creating the required attic vent openings. When they finally addressed this, the vents were installed so poorly that water accumulated on the roof, requiring yet another fix. Tile Installation: On the day the tiles were installed, we noticed visible discoloration in several tiles. We were told it was due to the South Florida heat, but if this is how the roof looks now, we worry about how it will age. While these are the issues we could see, our biggest concern is the overall quality of the roof itself—something we, as non-experts, can’t fully assess.   Consumer be ware!! Do not use this company! We hired A&E Brothers roofing to fix our flat roof and have experienced problem after problem. We replaced our flat roof in April 2023 as a recommendation from our insurance company to have it replaced within the next 5 years. We hired A&E and regret it miserably! When we contracted A&E we didn’t have any leaks and now we have leaks on all our skylights. We believe the issue stemmed from the initial installation. Part of our contract was to replace two skylights and when the sub-contractor (yes, they subcontract the work and we were not made aware until issues began) replaced the roof, he reinstalled the old sky lights!! We had to call A&E so they could replace them as initially agreed. So far they’ve returned 4-5 times to “fix” the leaks and they keep reoccurring. As a result, we’re now dealing with mildew and mold! I do not write bad reviews and have given this company numerous opportunities to repair the issues. We thought we did our due diligence — got various quotes, checked reviews, hired a licensed contractor and had the work permitted and inspected. Please save yourself the headache and do not hire this company. Please note, the photos are of existing issues.

  I can’t speak on their craftsmanship, however, the customer service left a lot to be desired. I called to schedule an estimate for a soffit repair and potential painting, if possible. Over the next week, I was rescheduled twice (first time was for weather, which is understandable) and second time for an emergency that the assigned contractor had to attend to. On the third attempt, no one showed up and when I called to confirm my appointment, the representative said that the assigned contractor again had an emergency. She then said that the painting was not able to be done so no one would be coming anyways and immediately tried to hang up even though I had also requested a soffit repair estimate. I understand that painting is not in the scope of what the company does, however, why was I not notified of this when I first made the appointment a week ago and wasted time waiting when I could’ve made inquires with other companies?

  Stay away from this company. Very dishonest. They took my money and said will do the work on Saturday but never showed up. The tactic they used was to drop off work material ahead of planned work, but never showed up. Impossible to reach the company and sales person David nowhere to be found. I will be disputing the charge with credit card company and will be leaving reviews on all boards. And off course using a different contractor.
