We have a 6-year-old Interlock aluminum roofing system. When we bought the house, we paid to transfer the second-owner warranty. Unfortunately, this active, paid warranty has meant nothing. The warranty only covers materials, not labor. Because Interlock shingles are highly proprietary, standard roofers won’t touch them. We are trapped: we have active leaks, but standard companies can't install the materials. I tried to find other solutions because Interlock refused to call us back, ignoring every call, voicemail, and email I have sent them for months. An inspection traced several major issues back to faulty installation: Active Leaks: Water is actively leaking near our HVAC system. Improper Chimney Flashing: Faulty flashing allowed water to intrude into our chimney. Recurring Failures & Rot: Structural rot is developing underneath. We learned the previous owner had Interlock "repair" these exact spots in the past, and those repairs failed. Looking at other complaints, we see this pattern of evasion and passing the buck is common. We tried to get legal help to force them to fix these defects, but because the roof is exactly 6 years old, lawyers won't touch it. Under WA state law, the statute of repose for construction defects expires at 6 years, letting them off the hook and leaving us with zero legal recourse. If you are considering an Interlock roof, buying a home with an Interlock roof, or considering their transfer warranty, be warned. They cover only materials, but hold a monopoly and ignore you, leaving you alone with water damage. The side of their trucks all over the NW say "never re-roof again." However, when you have problems, they do not stand behind their product, install, or workmanship—and now it seems I will be re-roofing again. I highly advise you not to trust this company with your hard-earned money.

I was driving behind one of their vehicles and he was swerving all over the road hitting his brakes with no cars around him. Pulled up next to him and he was texting on his phone. I would not recommend hiring someone that can’t pay attention to the road. Imagine how bad at roofing this company could be.

As this company continues to request that I post a "review", I decided to take the time to do so. Patrick Hafey, from Interlock, may wish he had not asked me to do so. We contracted with Interlock to have a major roofing job done in early …

Hi, Ashley As the new Pacific Northwest installation manager at Interlock, one of my responsibilities is to conduct post mortem inspections on past projects. In order to have a complete understanding of our work, I must acknowledge both the successes and the areas where we can improve, so that Interlock remains at the forefront in our industry. Feedback like this is what drives positive policy changes. We strive to prevent these issues from arising in the first place. For example, we now have installation management directly communicating with crews, while customers solely interact with management. We also make it a point to conduct project walks at the end of jobs whenever customers express concerns about quality or cleanup. So, although there may have been some shortcomings in your project, I have no regrets about asking for the review. It may not be the news I personally want to hear, but it provides us with valuable information that helps us grow. Moreover, it seems like we have addressed the problems by compensating for damages and installing another superior Interlock Lifetime Roofig System. Please don't hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions. Patrick Hafey Installation Manager, Washington Interlock Industries, Inc.

Interlock sent an experienced and highly skilled technician. Ivan did very thorough, high qualityprepair work to roof areas damaged by years of exposure to strong winds. I'm confident the result will last for many more years.

My wife and I wanted a long-term roof and I think we found it. The product seems very good and are installer Daniel was terrific and a trooper put a lot of hours and a lot of time and made it look real nice when it was completed. I would recommend the company if you're looking for a metal roof.
