*Edit-Update* It has not even been 18 months. My roof is actively leaking and I have been given the cold shoulder regarding any sort of repair which was supposed to be included in the LIFETIME warranty. All calls ignored or shifted to the next office over, whom do not honor the "warranty" of other offices. Lack of responsibility is abysmal. Honest Abe did a wonderful job. They explained any changes and updates quickly and effectively. They worked with me to get ne the best possible deal and were on-site to install within 2 weeks! They also went above and beyond and re-roofed my outdoor cat house to match the new roof.

Although our new roof looks great I cannot recommend this company. It took them over a month to complete work and since they destroyed our gutter guards they are still not done. Workers here without an English-speaking foreman, constantly late, women in belly shirts walking around in my yard, and a few more complaints. The only reason for the 2 stars instead of 1 is the lifetime guarantee.

Thank you for your feedback and for acknowledging the quality and appearance of your new roof. We truly appreciate your business and are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We sincerely apologize for the delays in completing your project due to material issues and weather. While it's never our intention to cause damage your gutter guards are being replaced 100% free of charge. We value your trust in our lifetime guarantee which will ensure your roofing satisfaction for years to come.

I say zero stars to this company. Poor craftsman ship. Pointed out flaws and not all fixed roof leaked and ceiling fell in,they fixed drywall to their liking but didn't want to fix the laminate flooring. Awful company. Got to give a star in order to post.

Offered me a payment plan but wouldn't give me a cost breakdown, explains why they are almost double every other quote, just trying to take advantage of people that can't pay up front, shady business if you ask me!!

  Reply from the business

Jon that's an absolutely a 100% false statement because we have never spoken to a Jon Follmar and tearing down another local business that you have never done business with is just ridiculous. Honest Abe Roofing Lafayette is NOT your typical roofing company - We build you a roofing systems that will last a lifetime. Unlike our competitors we looked at every factor involved with your installation process as: *Materials *Number of layers *Pitch *Exposure to elements *Ventilation *Decking *Insulation *Ice & Water *Gutters, ect... At Honest Abe Roofing we do NOT give estimates we give quotes. This means that the price you are given is the price that you will pay, GUARANTEED. Since you have other "quotes" we also offer an Ironclad Lowest Investment Guarantee. If you discover a comparable roof for less money than the one we design for your home prior to its installation, we will pay you the difference plus $50. All we ask is that the comparison is “apples-to-apples.” not "apples-to-oranges" Honest Abe Roofing backs up our roofing systems with a LIFETIME guarantee NOT a manufactures warranty, not a subcontractors warranty (who's no longer in business) but a written guarantee from our corporate office. We are ranked in the top 200 roofing contractors in the US with thousands of satisfied clients If your interested in doing business with Honest Abe Roofing please don't base your opinion a review from somebody that has never done business with our company!

They canceled my appointment when I had to go to work and my wife was going to be the one home to talk to them. I feel completely comfortable with my wife making decisions for our family, seems sexist. We told them we wanted a standing seam metal roof, what else is there to discuss? We're paying out of pocket cash. Take your measurement, leave, send me the quote. You really have to guess why they require this. Seems shady, you've been warned, beware.

Hello, Michael - I am the owner of Honest Abe Roofing Lafayette and while I'm sorry you feel this way our roofing advisor was 100% correct and followed company policy. Honest Abe Roofing is not like other roofing companies because we offer a free 16 point roof inspection that covers all aspects of your roof from decking, underlayment, ventilation, ect... We back our product with a lifetime guarantee and were listed in the top 100 roofers in Roofing Contractor magazine. We actually take the time to show homeowners pictures of damage, inspect your decking, ect... We educate our customers on product selection, metal, standing seam, poly mod, ect... Should you elect one of our easy payment solutions where customers pay for their roofing as they use them all homeowners information is required. I'm disappointed you're not doing more to support local businesses instead of leaving negative reviews about a company you have never used. Please feel free to give us a call back at (765) 446-7663 to reschedule if you're interested in getting a quality roof that will last a lifetime!

They were great! I had a garage roof, and my house roof, and they were able to knock them both out in one day! The final pricing prior to the work being done was a really nice peace of mind. Regardless of whether they found more decking that needed replaced, or not, the price would not be adjusted. Most places would tack on extra fees The lifetime warranty, even on shingles, is super awesome to have. The final price was pretty expensive, but having the peace of mind knowing that both roofs are covered by a lifetime warranty is worth it.

They were very helpful with finishing our roof. Very nice people, answered all of our questions and even made sure we had the information we needed for insurance. They offered many colors for shingles and metal roofing. Roof looks beautiful and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a roof replacement.
