  First, I want to sincerely apologize for the frustration you experienced. That’s never the impression we want to leave. To clarify a couple of things, Keith had stepped in to assist with estimating the exteriors only, but when the siding portion of the quote was cancelled by you, his involvement was no longer required. That said, you absolutely should have received clear communication about next steps, and for that we take responsibility. Neil is still very much our lead estimator for insurance-related work and attic insulation projects, and the positive feedback you’ve seen about him is well deserved. He is the one that does all of our insulation quotes. Everyone in our company has their own specialities. We strive to be professional and responsive, whether a client is in town or rural, and it’s disappointing to hear we missed the mark here. If you’re still open to it, we would welcome the opportunity to reconnect and ensure you’re properly taken care of. Regardless, we appreciate the feedback, it helps us improve our communication processes moving forward.

  After the attic insulation work was completed, I noticed a discrepancy in quality that did not align with what was initially discussed or expected. I reached out to Guns N Hoses in hopes of having a constructive conversation to address the issue. Instead, I was met with immediate defensiveness and very unprofessional communication. Rather than taking any accountability or even showing a willingness to understand my concerns, the response was dismissive and focused entirely on shifting blame. No effort was made to investigate the issue or work toward a resolution. In my view, customer service and professionalism are just as important as the quality of the work itself. Based on this experience, I will not be using this company again and do not recommend them to others.

We understand you had a good amount of insulation already, and the plan was to level it, which we both agreed to.   The guy who gave a quote refused to come and look at project. They have a minimum spend separate for each project of soffit, gutters, etc. Kept referring to minimum spend despite over the 100 ft gutters he was referring to… don’t waste your time on this company.

  Hi Jarrett, thank you for your feedback. Our estimator was being completely transparent with you and let you know we have a minimum service fee of $400 for repairs, after you explained what you needed, he did not need to see your project to quote that. Quoting repairs over the phone keeps our client's service fees down which saves our clients time and money. We do come out to our clients homes all the time to estimate anything larger than a repair that can't be quoted without seeing it.

  Sadly, I had the same experience as some of the other reviewers. I called and someone came out and that was the end of it. I called two more times and no one ever came back. I called another company and the job was completed within the week.

  Hi Haozhan, we do not charge for estimates. If you require an inspection with a full written report for insurance purposes, or a similar situation, yes there is a charge for that. Hope that provides more clarity.

  I am usually understanding/patient with contractors as I know they are very busy and probably short staffed. The one thing that really irks me is when they do not respond to a website enquiry AND after leaving a message with reception, no one returns my call. No excuse for this. Been over a week now.

  Disappointed. They were quick to respond to my request for a quote, and did a nice job on the roof. But they didn't finish the job. My gutters were left full of construction debris. The roof was completed in March. I called in late April and was promised "someone will definitely come by and do the spring clean up". Nobody showed up. Then in May when Keith came to collect payment he promised that someone would come by on May 27th. Nobody showed . I called again in July and was told that she would speak to Keith right away. Its October now and nobody ever showed up. In August I climbed up on a ladder and cleaned and repaired my first floor gutters. The second floor.....well, that's just not gonna be done. Too bad, because they were great otherwise.

  I'm going to start off by saying that the siding replacement that was completed was done well and on time. The siding is a pretty good match to the original. The estimate provided was fair and the video inspection left zero questions of if the work was necessary. The issues I had with Guns N hoses and the reason for my low review stem from lack of communication and work being left incomplete. Basically we were left feeling that our business was more of a hassle for them. We had a few incidents in the beginning of us booking our siding repair where there were some big gaps in communication. But the major issue I had was when the siding was repaired they left the job without reinstalling a few sections of downspouts. I contacted the contact I had from the siding crew a day or so after they left our house. I was informed that he will have someone come and reinstall the downspout in the next couple of days or he will come back and do it himself. That was on December 23,2020. I didn't expect someone to come during Christmas to reattach the downspout so we waited and hoped they would get to us after the holidays. Fast forward to January 25,2021 when we received the invoice for the repair. My wife asked about having the downspouts re-installed. Keith told us he would come and re-attach the pieces. After coming to our house he realized that there were more pieces missing and would have to order in the pieces((which they did agree to replace free of charge), that was on Jan 26. February 17,2021 my wife emails him again to find out when everything will be completed. February 22 he responds saying he is just getting back to work and he will set it up for the 24 or 25th. 25th comes and goes and we get an email saying the day got away from him and he will try and get it done the next day(26th). He did reattach the two that were missing in the front but didn't have a long enough ladder for the one in the back(fair enough). March 9, I email again and ask if the work will ever be

  Hi Christian, we appreciate you addressing your concerns. Normally when we replace siding due to hail damage, the gutters are also replaced because they are the most vulnerable due to hail. The reason they were taken off your home and not put back on by our sider, is that 98% of our clients in the area got paid to change the whole eavestrough and downspout system from the insurance, and our siding crew assumed the eaves and downspouts were also getting replaced. Once we were made aware of what happened, we informed you we would rectify it. It took a few trips because we were told the material was all on-site still, which unfortunately it wasn’t, so we ordered new material, at our cost, and then the supplier gave us the wrong color which we only noticed when we went to install it, so that caused another delay. The downspout in the back of the house clearly runs directly into the lower gutter to eliminate having a complete extra downspout run to the ground and crowd the area. If you would like to run the top downspout to the ground(adding a second extension right next to the lower one) we will come and do this, again at our cost for you. Every client is important to us, and although it took a couple of trips to finish up the work because of the reasons mentioned above, we did get you brand new downspouts as promised, and for free, before the rainy season started.

  Our roof was recently replaced by Guns-N-Hoses. They were able to meet our strict timing deadlines and completed the project on time and on budget, despite unavoidable weather delays. The crew and staff were very personable and friendly.

  Absolutely outstanding. Neil is the epitome of the kind of person you want working on your house. Honest, acts with integrity, and does a great job. Can't beat that! The workmanship carries a 10 year warranty, the installation of the insulation was perfect, and Neil makes sure the work is done properly and that adequate ventilation is installed.   Neil with Guns and Hoses Insulation Did a phenomenal Job. Came right on time said he'd be to our house at 8:30 and was there at 8:25 unloading materials and getting ready rang the bell promptly at 8:30. He installed a new bathroom fan into our ensuite (Great since the old one sounded like a helicopter was taking off) Topped up all of the insulation in the attic and Insulated the attic door with new weather stripping and with thicker insulation as well. While they were not the cheapest quote that we received. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get Attic insulation topped up and improved. 5 Stars and 2 Thumbs way up.

  Update: We were able to get a phone call back and get our issues resolved. Was unfortunate with the timing of everything, but I'm glad things have been rectified. i have updated my review accordingly. Would love to give 4 or 5 star review. Quote was off from the beginning due to size of fascia installed even though it was discussed at the quote meeting (no big deal, that's fine). The install itself went fine, the work was up to par. However, the biggest thing we were looking for in getting our eavestroughs replaced was there were a couple areas where our old eaves were leaking and Guns N' Hoses had a guarantee that if they replaced the eaves, they would ensure there were no leaks. We replaced in Oct-Nov 2024, and over the winter it was found that there were two places where the eaves were leaking onto walkways to our house. We called and let them know of the leak - but were not expecting anything to get done until things warmed up - and that's fine. However, we never even received a call to schedule an appointment to fix the leaks. I have tried to call several times over the past few weeks (Now April 2025), and I don't even get callbacks. So, in conclusion, the work was pretty standard, the quote process fine - but the "warranty" work process has been horrible considering it was one of their major selling points.

  Hi Wesley, Thank you for the feedback. We do ensure there are no leaks so when a leak happens, we will fix it. As you know the weather has been all over the map the last few weeks, and we are getting back on schedule. We cannot fix a gutter leak when there is snow or ice in the gutter or the temperature is too cold. We didn't have a confirmed date to give you at the time, but now that the weather looks good for the foreseeable future, we can absolutely get you booked in. Our team will reach out ASAP.

  honestly, we couldn’t be happier. I almost cried when I saw it finished! The whole team was so friendly & happy people in general. The whole process from start to end was 10 out of 10. From quotes, to confirmation emails to bin/supplies drop off to labour and clean up it was above and beyond because of their genuine friendly attitude in each interaction not to mention the clean, prompt services provided. Our neighbours reached out too mentioning how quick the whole process was in their option! My roof is exactly how I wanted to coordinate with the new siding and windows coming in for a farmhouse look.
