I waited months to leave this review because I wanted to give Gunner a fair opportunity to resolve the issues with my project. Unfortunately, after a lot of follow-up and several unresolved concerns, I can’t recommend them based on my experience. The roof itself appears to be performing as intended. My frustration is with the project management, cleanup, finishing work and follow-through afterward. Before signing, I specifically asked about my existing gutters and was told in writing they would be removed, taken care of and reinstalled. That did not happen based on what I observed. The roof was installed with the gutters in place, multiple hangers were broken, and afterward I had a section improperly pitched and overflowing. I was also told I’d have a project manager and final walkthrough. Anthony R. was my PM, but I never met him during the installation and the walkthrough never happened. I eventually met him after going back and forth over a jagged piece of metal along the roof edge that I was initially told was pre-existing. Thankfully, I had before photos showing otherwise. At one point while waiting for a response, I was told, “sorry long day and at the gym…I’ll get back to you.” That pretty much sums up some of the communication. The installation was done by a subcontracted crew. The guys were pleasant and worked hard, but there was a language barrier that made it difficult to communicate questions or concerns. Using subcontractors isn’t my issue. Having no Gunner representative onsite to communicate with was. My home also required a full redeck, which was included as an additional cost in my contract. On the final day of decking, I personally watched several unused plywood sheets from what I observed to be the original material pile get loaded onto the crew’s truck. I asked about an adjustment and was told there would be “no adjustment” because Gunner said those sheets were extras I hadn’t been charged for. That differed from what I observed, although I

I don't know how this company could get 5 star ratings. I had my roof replaced in August 2025 and have had constant issues with leaking in my attic since then. I called multiple times, but they blamed it on my chimney. I spent thousands of …

Review After 2 years I'd originally given this company a higher rating, but after my experience with their warranty service, I'm reducing it to 2 stars. Not long after the installation, my roof started leaking. I contacted Gunner Roofing, and they sent someone out within a couple of days. He inspected the leak and assured me it would be fixed "soon." It's now been two months, and the repair still hasn't happened. The biggest issue is the lack of communication. I never receive updates unless I contact them first. Every time I ask when the repair will be made, I'm told they have too many warranty repairs and that I'm "on the list," but no one can tell me where I am on that list or when they actually plan to fix my roof. A new roof shouldn't be leaking in the first place, and when it does, the company should stand behind its work and address the issue promptly. Instead, I've been left waiting for months while my roof continues to leak. Bottom line: If you're looking for a roofing company that stands behind its workmanship and responds promptly when warranty issues arise, I would recommend looking elsewhere. My experience has been that once the job is complete, you're left to repeatedly chase them for updates while your roof continues to leak. Original review Our roof replacement experience was very positive from start to end, the website makes it very easy from quote to purchase, Brian did great job with the estimate and going over the quote. Our assigned project manager Danny was awesome, kept everything under control and kept me informed with pictures of roof etc., other crew members Jose etc were great. The roof needs to go through the test of time but I highly recommend Gunner Roofing.

We used Gunner to replace shingles. They told us that if we upgraded the skylight to one that is solar powered we would get a tax credit of 30% of the entire job, a savings of over $2000. We weren't planning to replace the skylight but the …

Please be aware: this has been the worst construction and siding company we have ever dealt with. I am very surprised that they have been certified by James Hardie. We had our siding replaced in October 2024. The project took significantly longer than promised. While I chose not to initially complain about the damage to our landscaping, I must also mention the large amount of nails and sharp metal debris left behind on our property. The winter of 2024–2025 was mild, so we did not notice any major issues. However, during the winter of 2025–2026, heavy snowfall exposed serious problems. Wet snow accumulated between our sliding door frame and the siding. The frame had not been properly attached, leaving a large gap between the two. When temperatures rose and the snow melted, this resulted in a significant leak that damaged the door frame and part of our hardwood flooring. We contacted another contractor, who immediately identified the issue and pointed out the poor quality of the workmanship. Additionally, I referred two neighbors to your company—one for roofing and one for siding. We were promised $500 for each referral, but we have not received any compensation. Your team also installed new gutters, which are already falling apart and did not pass inspection because they were installed too close to the house. When we raised this concern with Mike, our project manager, he dismissed it as standard installation practice. We were promised a warranty; however, no warranty has been honored. Furthermore, our calls and text messages to Mike have gone unanswered. Based on our experience, this company has demonstrated a lack of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.

Very responsive before and during the project. Did a good job with sidings but there’s a few things needed fixing. But once everything is paid. It’s hard to get them to fix it. Not recommended!

Our house was resided by Gunner. It looks lovely and we are glad with went forward with the project. Communications with the sales representative were timely and all questions were addressed. Once in communication with project manager the work proceeded as scheduled and was completed within the indicated timeframe. The construction crew cleaned up after work each day and more completed at the end of the project. All concerns were addressed. Communications following the initial downpayment were lacking. Contact was made after the indicated start date and a delay of about 2 weeks explained. We followed up after the indicated delay with multiple phone, email and text messages over 4 days before installation work was scheduled. Care was taken with plants around the house, but plants along the route from back to front were trampled – monetary compensation was given for both plants and damage to one flowerpot.

⭐ Overall: Great experience with Gunner — especially with the people who actually managed the project. I’ve used Gunner for both my roof and siding, on two separate projects. The roof was completed very quickly with no issues. The siding project had some scheduling problems at the beginning, but Joe, the project manager, went above and beyond to make things right. He handled problems professionally, reimbursed me for an issue caused during installation, followed through on his promises even after I had paid, and made sure the small details were taken care of. The owner also personally kept me updated when there were delays with the dumpster and portable toilet pickup. Despite some bumps along the way, Gunner stood behind their work and took care of me as a customer. That’s why I’m giving them 5 stars. My Detailed Experience I’ve used Gunner twice—first for my roof and later for my siding. The roof: The roof project was completed extremely quickly and without any issues. Overall, it was a very smooth experience. The siding: The siding project had some scheduling issues at the beginning, which cost me a few days. I also wasn’t a huge fan of some of the sales experience. However, once the project got underway, Joe, the person managing my siding project, was absolutely outstanding. Joe is a boss. He made sure everything went smoothly and went above and beyond to make up for the earlier issues. He even took care of some small extra things for me that weren’t part of the original scope. There was an issue during the installation where the wiring to my AC condenser was damaged, causing the condenser to stop working. I had my electrician come out and fix the issue, and Joe made sure I was reimbursed for the cost. What impressed me even more was that Joe came back after I had already made the final payment to take care of some small items he had promised to fix. He kept his word, was respectful throughout the entire process, and genuinely cared about making sure the p

We used Gunner for a new roof on our Stamford home and the entire experience was outstanding. The process was easy and seamless from the start. Leslie, their remodeling specialist, made getting the project spec simple, and Gunner uses satellite imagery to speed up the estimate process, which moved things along far faster than I expected. Andrew, one of the owners, was an absolute pleasure to work with. They were extremely busy, so he personally oversaw our project. Honest, straightforward, and just a good guy. Once the old roof came off, the deck underneath was completely delaminated. That is a real risk with any roof replacement, and Gunner had spelled it out in the contract. It was an additional charge, as it had to be, but they held to their contract terms and did not pad it or try to upsell me on anything. Not in the slightest. The work crew was very nice and did a great job. They cleaned up every single day and were always hunting for stray nails, which is an impossible task, but they never stopped looking. Overall an amazing experience. The house looks great! I have already recommended them to friends and family, and we will be calling them again when it is time for siding.

Gunner Roofing were GREAT! The pricing is competitive but the communication and attention to the customers concerns is where they really shine. Friendly crews, clean works site and the ability to adjust to the unknown as the project progresses was a true pleasure to have. Jesse the General Manager is the best to work with. Friendly, knowledgeable and a gentleman at points throughout the job. His followup and sincere attitude gave me confidence I was in good hands! Thanks to everyone!!

Cant say enough good things about these guys. Working with Gunner has been a great experience. We had new siding installed on the house, along with all new windows. They started the project on time, kept us updated through the entire process and finished on time. The guys were extremely friendly and we are very pleased with the final results. The folks at Gunner Roofing provide quality products and installation, answer all your questions and are quick to follow up. The project was completed in one day. The roof and gutters are beautiful and I’m confident they will last a very long time.
