Great work - diagnosed and resolved a roof issue we’ve experienced at our condo for over a decade that wasn’t installed properly during initial build. Called out the exact issue with a detailed explanation - very happy with service.

Preston, thank you so much for your kind review! Unfortunately, it’s all too common in Washington DC to find roofers who only have limited experience with flat roofs. In your case, the previous roofer used residential-grade aluminum drip edge flashing intended for use with asphalt shingle roofing systems. This type of metal is not designed for commercial torch-applied modified bitumen flat roofing applications. In addition, the previous installer failed to apply the required asphalt-based primer to the metal flashing prior to torching the modified bitumen membrane. Now, your roof is installed professionally and meets all the manufacturer’s standards for membrane and flashing. It was a pleasure to work with you and your condo owners, and we’re glad we could help!

I had GoTech Roofing come out for a flat roof inspection and recommendations for my 2 old roofs. They gave me 2 options, either full flat roof replacement or silicone roof coating. The silicone roof coating was about half the price of the full replacement. So, I went with that option. My 2 commercial flat roofs came out amazing. It has been a few months since they finished, and I haven’t had any leaks. Fast and great communication. I would highly recommend them.

Sarah, thank you so much for your kind review! Unfortunately, it’s all too common in Washington DC to find roofers who only have limited experience with flat roofs. In your case, even though your roof was only a few years old, the previous roofer didn’t properly flash around the skylight or correct the last 6 feet of the roof’s slope towards the gutter. This caused water to pool, leading to leaks. The damage to the wood deck had also been there for a while and should have been addressed earlier. To fix everything the right way, we replaced the back 50% of your roof but kept the cost of the repair the same as we initially estimated you. Now, your roof is installed professionally and meets all the manufacturer’s standards for membrane and flashing. It was a pleasure to work with you and your family, and we’re glad we could help!

Great service! Julian and William arrived on time and showed me, step by step, where the people who repaired my gutters last year, had failed. They also explained what they were doing and why. The new gutters look wonderful, and they cleaned up after they were done. Their company is also very responsive and polite. I recommend them highly.

Wynne, thank you for sharing your experience and feedback regarding the roof repair work done on your gutter and downspouts. We understand how frustrating it can be when a repair job does not last as long as it should. Unfortunately, the last gutter repairer didn't have the proper tools to cut and crimp the downspout pipes so that they would fit into the next length of downspout. Instead, they severely bent the metal in and that caused debris to build up and clog your new downspouts. Rest assured they are professionally installed now. At GoTech Roofing, we pride ourselves on providing our customers with effective and long-lasting solutions to their roofing issues. Thank you for choosing GoTech Roofing, and we look forward to serving you again in the future.

I was in the process of purchasing a townhouse and my home inspector informed me that he couldn't access the flat roof and advised me to call a professional roofer. The real estate agent claimed the flat roof was replaced 4 years ago. I contacted GoTech Roofing, as their website mentioned they have certified inspectors. After inspecting the roof, they informed me it was in poor condition, leaking, and needed to be replaced. GoTech informed me that it hadn't been replaced, but only covered with acrylic roof paint to make it appear new. With this information, I was able to confront the owners and receive a credit for a new roof at closing. GoTech recently completed the installation and the new flat roof looks fantastic! If I hadn't called them, I would have unknowingly purchased a home with a bad roof. I highly recommend GoTech Roofing.

Marvin, it's always crucial to have a flat roof inspection performed by a certified flat roof Inspector. We're thrilled that the problem was detected early and that the closing cost credit was sufficient to pay for the flat roof replacement of the leaky, aging roof. We appreciate the chance to serve you and your positive feedback.
