  Our roof is losing shingles after the last wind storms and we called GNS on a Friday to be told that they would come out Saturday morning. Saturday was a bit damp so they couldn't come and said they would be out first thing Monday. They didn't arrive and when I called later in the day I was told I someone would be out before the day was over and nobody came. It's now Wednesday and I haven't heard from them since. Can't speak for their workmanship.

  Great service and very polite. I called on a Wednesday afternoon and they were at my house early Thursday morning and had the roof fixed. Very polite and informative. I will definitely be calling them for any other work to be done Update: only provides good service when work is slow. I understand when a small business gets busy it may take a while to fit all the work in... that is fine. But when you give a company a large deposit for work and then can’t get a hold of anyone for a week or more and nobody calls you back... that is when it transitions from simply being busy to just not providing adequate service. I will not be doing business with GNS ever again

  Called and set up an appointment to come look at a job. There website said they do metal roofs which when setting up an appointment they advised they no longer do metal roofs. Asked for a quote for a regular roof and they never showed up for the appointment that was scheduled. Called back and left several messages with no response.

  Unprofessional. Scheduled an estimate and didn't bother to show up or call. When I called them to see if the estimate was postponed, the call was hung up on. Demonstrates a high-level of untrustworthiness and concern for customer approval. My suggestions is to look anywhere but here for quality care. After posting here, I was bombarded by rude phone calls and emails, which I responded to by telling them we were not interested in their services. I'm guessing they must not be able to contract decent business due to their poor customer service representation. What a shame!

  Please update your business cards, van sign, website and inform your office administrator that your company no longer service metal roof. Your company canceled/ postponed my request for service twice and I waited for nearly three weeks (which I understand that is needed when it's raining) only to find out you don't even offer services for metal roof. Please update all of your information and let your administrator know your company no longer service metal roofs so other people won't experience the frustration I experienced today.

I, the administrator would like to let you know that our website has been updated for a while, and metal roof replacement/ repair do not appear on there. We are fixing our van right now. Thank you for the recommendation. I would like to let you know that I did let you know from the first time per our phone conversation we did not provide any metal roof service but did let you know the our owner can see and check out the job for you and see if it's something minor so we can help you out. We scheduled you for an appointment and we committed by showing up and checking the project, but you were aware from the very start we were going to check it out first and we were going to tell you if we can or cannot complete the work for you. You agreed with it, did let you know if you can find another company to help you better with this situation we understood and were okay with it. We were very honest from the start. We truly apologize we weren't able to help as much, but we thank you for letting us know.

  I came upon GNS by accident when they were replacing a friend’s roof and am glad I did. I was pleased with the whole process, including not just a job well done, but also the explanation of what would be done, and what to expect with follow up procedures as well. It was very nice dealing with this local family-owned company, and I would recommend them to others.

  We have used GNS for roofing repairs. GNS located and repaired a leak around a vent pipe on our home. We have also had them to repair some wind damage on our detached garage. Their response was quick on both issues. They are reasonably priced and very reliable. They do good work, and we are very satisfied. Recommend. Winchester, VA Update 6/7/26 GNS Roofing has been repairing and maintaining our aging roof for several years. This year we had them replace the roof on our house and detached garage. They also did some vinyl siding repairs for us. They did an excellent job on all of it. Their prices are reasonable and they are very reliable. Very satisfied. I highly recommend GNS Roofing, Definite 5 star.

  I found a leak near the exhaust of a B vent on my roof. I had called one other company first that came out and said my six-year-old roof was installed poorly and desperately needed replacement. I then called GNS Roofing and they sent a representative to my house pretty quickly. He identified that the vent was installed incorrectly and they would need to pull up shingles, reinstall the vent, and replace the shingles. GNS Roofing offered to do the repair that same day. He spent about 4 hours total on the repair, and for a very appropriate price I now have a leak-free roof. The dispatcher was very communicative on the phone and the representative that did the repair was very friendly and effective. I hope to never have to call a roofing repair company again, but if I do, I'm calling GNS Roofing.

  GNS came in and identified a leak point on my roof that several other contractors were not able to fix. Very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail. Had 6” gutters installed as well for a fair/reasonable price. I will absolutely be using these guys again in the future. Highly recommend!
