  We chose GM Roofing because of the quality of work we had seen from them and they came personally recommended to me. My husband received three quotes from different roofing companies, and GM was not the least expensive. We chose them because we were told they stood behind their work, and we were willing to pay more for that reassurance. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. We understand that the shape and design of our roof is somewhat unique, but we did not expect a completed metal roof installation to be left looking like this. The workmanship and unfinished areas have been so noticeable that neighbors have actually contacted us asking what happened to our roof and why it was left this way. The issues began after the underlayment was installed. We were told the roof was “watertight.” However, after the first major rainfall we had a new active leak over our garage (see picture below). Our gutter at the front of the house was also removed during the installation. We were then told they would not be able to reinstall it because it would no longer fit with the bigger flashing. The gutter is still lying across our landscaping in front of the house next to the driveway although we were told it was left on the side of the garage. Initially, my husband was told that we would need to handle the painting and gutter reinstallation ourselves from this point forward. After he expressed how disappointed we were, they agreed that they would come back and paint the fascia and clean up the underlayment that is visible from the front of the house. We provided the paint color details from Benjamin Moore. We were thanked for providing the paint color and have had no correspondence since then. The fascia remains unpainted, the gutter remains in our landscaping, and our roof still looks exactly as pictured. We were told we were on our own for gutter reinstallation.   Our Board contracted this company in 2022 to do 12 buildings in our Condominium Complex. We had a 3rd party review their work during the re roofing and it appeared they were doing a correct installation. BUT, there were some accounting errors, and there was damage to upper units because of their neglect to cover properly during bad weather, and when we reached out they stopped responding. Beware if you have a problem in the future, they will not do the call backs promised in their Service Warranty. When we tried to get them to fix a recent leak, which was a fault of their installation, they did not return our Property Management calls. Also, they hired a 3rd party painter for fascia, and it is all peeling already. They look great while they are working, but they will not be there when you need to fix a problem.

  Disappointed. Called and received a same day visit to price roof repairs. We were informed that I would get the quote same day. Waited a few days again and followed up and no response. Went with a competitor.
