  If you have a small job your time will not be respected. After putting my 50% deposit down on a small siding repair job it took over a month to get just the appointment on the calendar. I called to follow up multiple times where I was told someone would reach out to the scheduler only to be ghosted until I reached out again and again. Then, during the repair job the siding nails that were used were too long and went through the drywall on the other side. Not necessarily a fault of the installers, it's an old home and the bumpout that was being repaired probably isn't standard thickness. But yet again, to get any repairs on the schedule took multiple weeks and a few different follow ups. Then I was reached out to randomly one early weekend morning saying they could be out in one hour. No heads up in the days prior was given and my morning plans were out on hold as I wasn't sure if I'd be able to get ahold of them again if I passed on that opportunity Another issue I had was the fact that when we painted our siding shingles we were not given an estimate for how many to get together. We painted the shingles we thought we'd need and a few extra, however more we're still needed upon install. If you have customers paint/prep their own siding materials ahead of time, please give them an estimate of how much to prep. The only positive experience I had were the physical laborers that came out and did the job. They were very respectful and timely. They also have good concern when the nails came through

  Great crew!! Great clean up! Fast and efficient! Finished our roof in 1 day! However, after a couple of months we had a major leak around the bathroom exhaust when we had a heavy rain. We've lived in this house since 2005 and never had a leak in the roof until that leak. Gellings was very responsive and re-applied sealer around the fan exhaust pipe but did not remove the wet insulation in the attic or help us confirm what joists or drywall got wet. I can't say the Gellings work caused the leak, but our effort to prevent leaks was not successful. Otherwise, the new roof looks great. Update: after a couple of light rains with no visual leaking, we saw additional leaking during a heavy rain. The leaking this time was much less than before so the additional sealer around the fan exhaust pipe helped, but did not completely stop the leak. Unfortunately, the leak (and my call to Gellings) were on July 3 and no response yet (July 8). Additional update: We are replacing our siding and saw several pieces of decking near our fireplace Chimney that are rotted and need to be replaced. I am disappointed that Gellings did not tell us that when they re-shingled. Oh, on further inspection in the attic, we found that we have plastic sheets under the insulation. I've been told that only a small percentage of homes have this plastic underlayment. I suspect that it was that plastic underlayment that kept us from seeing leaks from light rains. However, it is like a sauna in the attic now. We need to figure out how to fix that issue. Also, the person (not a Gellings employee, I think) who dropped off the dumpster left a long scratch mark on my driveway. I did not see that scratch until the dumpster was removed several days after the new roof was installed.

  Roof is leaking. Something wasn't done right with the roof next to the siding. This is the second time I've been having them come out to fix the problem too. It's incredibly difficult to work with them. I've worked with them one more time since and I think I'm changing my review to one star and suggesting that no one ever work with these people. It's been a horrible, horrible, horrible experience of four months of me calling weekly to get something on the schedule to have someone show up without warning to have them not communicate on what they needed to fix a problem that shouldn't exist because they screwed something up with the initial install of the roof. Yeah, don't work with these people and I'm annoyed that my warranty is attached to them in any way. I'm going to pay them and hopefully never talk to them again. So, I'll update this with the project to get some accurate reactions to how it's going without me forgetting details. 1. Getting an estimate and scheduling. They were pretty good about it. We picked a time for them to come out and write up an estimate and they do it on the spot. That's worth 5 stars right there. They were also considerate enough to let me schedule late into the year so I could make enough money to get it done this year. That's another 5 stars right there. 2. Setting up a place for materials and the dumpster. About a week ago, they stopped by and I forgot to sign part of a check I wrote them (because I Don't know if I've ever written a check before this). We talked from there about an update on pricing which increased the project about $700 (which I understand since the virus and it's been a few months since the quote was made). Overall, it was a good interaction. 3. Monday the week of the install the materials were brought. Either I miscommunicated or they misunderstood where the materials and dumpster were to go. Frankly, it's not a problem that one of us made a mistake. I'm very ok with mistakes. The materials were placed in the

I do apologize for the mix up with the placement of dumpster containers and materials. It is not your responsibility to place the materials , it is ours you are correct on that . I will be clearing a parking area for you today to make right the situation for the tennant or for yourself . Our Sales rep is out of state on a family heath situation and I was not aware that the home was actually a rental .   Called 3/27/23 for roof quote. Called again 4/7/23 and left message. Weeks later they finally had someone view it. Called 5/22/23 for quote. They never gave quote. I believe they just didn't want to do the roof. What a waste of time. Edit: found out they had me banned from a handyman group for telling my story with them. They didn't refuse the work. What a predatory reply! They just never gave a quote as mentioned. Last, the weather was clear. Trying to blame three months of waiting around on "snow storms" is nonsense.

  This review has been reported! We never did business with this individual and we do have the right to turn down work. Even if what this person claims is true...which it is not, it's awfully challenging to do a roof estimate in March perhaps in a snow storm or ice storm. Please look at this man's reviews. A very hard to please individual. He has rated people we trust with one stars as well. He has also been banned from a Contactors group on Sheboygan. Some people you don't want to work for. This is one of them Again, never did business essay with him and thankful we didn't. Contractors beware.

  Had an appointment for them to come out and give me a quote. Never showed up never called. I called them and was told they would call back. Still waiting over a week later.

  Most unprofessional business owner I have ever met. His company accepted the job and refused all further communication on the job. They are not worth the time and energy that was put into trying to give them business. Buyer Beware they are not worth the additional hassle

  Nick from Gilling roofing and siding came to my house two different times one time for an estimate another time for the agreement. Always on time or early gave me a call ahead of time or a text to let me know he was on his way very pleasant to work with very professional no pressure to sign right now. Highly recommend Gilling Roffing and Siding.

  Great experience through the whole process with Gellings. This is the first roof I have ever replaced. They clearly explained the process to me and helped educate me in all the steps. They were patient as I made my decisions, regularly checking in, but not being too pushy. Once decisions were made they completed the roof replacement very promptly. The installers did a great job, and stayed late to finish the job in only one day, before storms came through. I am very happy with the finished product; their service and warranties provide me with a lot of comfort. Overall, a great experience with a great local company.
