I called Gary to get an estimate on my roof and he seemed nice over the phone. He came out, then we got completely ghosted. What a disappointment.

Sorry if you got lost in the shuffle But I’ll gladly get that estimate for you sorry for the delay

Terrible job. Didn't finish. Roof not screwed down so panels flap in the wind and insulation blows out of the attic. Smith must use Reputation Defenders to have this many positive reviews. I've had to hire a real roofer to finish his work.

  Never returned my call

  Reply from the business

Mr. Hutchison, I'm sorry sir if your phone call wasn't answered immediately, due to us at that time being on top of a roof however if you left your name and phone number on our voice mail ALL calls are returned within 24 hours. As you know we just had some significant rain fall and weather like that increases our call levels significantly as you can imagine. We look forward to taking care of your Roofing needs.

I had to hire a real roofing company to do the job I paid Gary to do. He told me he had to repair part of the roof and charged me $1,000. When the real roofers looked at the area that was supposed to be repaired they said that it was all original wood and that there was no need to replace it. It was just a scam to steal money from me. There were a lot of negative reviews on Yelp about Smith Roofing. Looks like Gary paid a company to remove negative comments and write fake positive ones. Don't let these people on your property. It was GARY SMITH ROOFING in Winder Ga. NOT Gary roofing!

Awful! Gary ordered the wrong color roof. We worked around that. Gary didn't nail the roof properly so it started coming off on windy days. It wasn't flashed properly and water pores into the house when it rains. He doesn't return our calls. Gary seemed like a nice, honest guy, Very disappointed. I'm having to spend thousands of dollars to fix Gary's disastrous job.

I called several roofing companies to get an estimate. They quoted me 13.5-14k. $365 per square. I decided to try and patch my roof instead. While at the local hardware store, I asked the owner about roofers. He told me to call Gary Smith Roofing. He also said they recommended him for roofing help and never had a problem with is work. I called him on the phone. He measured the roof that day and quoted me several thousand dollars less for a roof. I even had him compare line for line with the other quotes to make sure it was an apples to apples comparison. He called me a few days before the roof replacement to let me know the shingles and dumper were going to be dropped off and he wanted to know where to put them in the driveway. On the day of the install. his team showed up at 7am and was done and cleaned up by 4pm. And did I mention my roof looked awesome!!! So you have two choices….. Pay more money and I mean a lot more money for someone who tries to sell you a roof in their polo amd khaki pants, driving a fancy wrapped vehicle with a huge company logo on the side, has shiny pamphlets and a fancy website, or save several thousand dollars and buy from an actual roofer that drives a work van with a ladder on top, no shiny pamphlets and wears proper clothes to work on a roof! Glad I chose Gary Smith Roofing!
