Ferguson & Melvin Roofing Co.

The only one or two-star review we hold for Ferguson & Melvin Roofing Co..

I was very much dismayed that although I paid for a warranty plan through them for GAF, Ferguson and Melvin roofers did not submit my GAF warranty and I will have to go to small claims for that… the only reason that I found out was because within a couple of months of the roof installation some shingles blew off my roof. I called to let them know and they said to call the insurance GAF to come out and install. The insurance company said that I did not have a warranty with them and that only Ferguson and Melvin could request the policy. Additionally they upcharged me for extras not contracted and left 2 boxes of new unused rake shingles and charged me.

Exceptional company! If I could give Ferguson & Melvin Roofing more than five stars, I absolutely would! After getting seven different estimates to replace the underlayment on my tile roof in Valencia, Ferguson & Melvin stood out immediately. They were the only company that honestly told me I likely still had about five years of life left on my existing underlayment warranty and that I probably did not need to replace it yet. Instead of trying to sell me an expensive reroof, they recommended performing maintenance and repairs to prepare my roof for the heavy storms expected this winter. That honest advice saved me thousands of dollars because I was able to repair the roof for a fraction of the cost of replacing the underlayment. Their customer service was exceptional from beginning to end. Every phone call, text message, and email was answered promptly. They were professional, knowledgeable, patient with all of my questions, and always treated me with kindness and respect. They truly make you feel like family. What also impressed me was their approach to the work itself. Of all seven companies, Ferguson & Melvin was the only one that planned to remove and store the roof tiles on their scaffolding instead of stacking them on my flat roof, which I was concerned might not safely support that amount of weight. Other companies either wanted to stack the tiles on the flat roof or hand-carry them down to the ground and back up again for an additional charge of around $4,000. Ferguson & Melvin’s equipment and methods are truly cutting-edge, making the work safer, more efficient, and more cost-effective. Their pricing was among the lowest of all the estimates I received, but what truly set them apart was their honesty, integrity, outstanding communication, professionalism, and genuine concern for doing what was best for me—not what made them the most money. It is rare to find a company that combines exceptional craftsmanship with this level of honesty and customer servi

Another company said I needed a new roof. Ferguson and Melvin told me exactly what needed repair and the cost was reasonable. I haven’t had a problem with the roof since. They are honest, have excellent communication and I would highly recommend the quality of their repair.

Entire experience was smooth, from the estimate to the final payment. Discussing options with Robert when I was still deciding was especially helpful. They took care of everything for me, even the enormous beehive that had to be removed - they got me the quotes and had it removed. Provided pictures of all the stages. Great work.

We needed to replace the roof before the December rainy season and my neighbor recommended them. Their estimate came in about 20% less than the others, scheduling was easy and quick, and they even came on the weekend to make sure they finished up on time. My new roof survived the rains!

I recently had a new roof installed by Robert, Tom and Andrew's team, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the entire project was handled with absolute professionalism and care. They stayed on schedule, the workmanship was top-notch, and the new roof looks fantastic. Plus, the whole job came in on budget, with no surprises. I highly recommend Ferguson & Melvin Roofing if you need roofing work done! 5 Stars!!!
