I called for an estimation, the reception did not even seem interested into understanding the client problem and insisted on doing only a whole new roof, he was not even motivated into taking the job!

I need them to replace three skylights because one of their guy informed to me that if I hire another company for the job, the warranty for the roof around the window area would no longer be valid. (Last year, they had replaced my roof.) Initially, they provided me with a contract for the quotation of replacing one skylight at $8500. At that time, I was distressed due to the skylight leakage issue and didn't thoroughly review the contract. I only glanced at the total cost and assumed that $8500 covered all three windows (considering that the material cost for each skylight was approximately less than $2400 ). Consequently, I promptly signed the contract. However, upon their arrival to replace the skylight, I realized my error and was shocked that they would charge $8500 for just ONE skylight replacement! I would here advise caution when dealing with this company to avoid being overcharged and misled.

Javier Ortiz, Felix, and the entire crew at Express Roofing were awesome. This was my first roof replacement experience, and it started horribly. Three different companies insisted on 90-minute presentations with both homeowners present and used high-pressure sales tactics, warning me that prices would increase if I didn’t sign immediately. I practically had to kick one salesperson out of my house. I was ready to put the project off until the fall. Luckily, my dad stepped in from Florida and arranged three no-pressure site visits while I was at work. All three companies emailed competitive quotes right away. Express Roofing came in with the lowest price and even offered an additional discount with absolutely no pressure to commit. I upgraded a few options and still stayed under budget. My dad had used Express Roofing five years ago and was happy with their one-day service, so I felt comfortable moving forward. Their quote was straightforward, without inflated pricing, huge sales commissions, or unnecessary overhead. Once I signed, I was scheduled in less than a week. On installation day, I was a little nervous about choosing the lowest quote, but the crew arrived exactly on time and got right to work. They identified areas needing extra attention, including spots where I had noticed leaks. I was also worried about the cleanup, but they didn’t leave until everything was spotless and the yard looked exactly as it had before they arrived. One crew member even offered to go back up and clean my skylights with Windex, which I really appreciated. I’m incredibly grateful that companies like Express Roofing still exist—businesses that rely on reputation, experience, fair pricing, and quality workmanship instead of aggressive sales tactics. The other companies gave me the ick. Express Roofing earned my trust and my recommendation.

Express Roofing did a great job replacing our roof. We are very happy with the quality of the work. The entire crew was professional, efficient, and completed the job in one day. Felix was very easy to work with, communicated well, and made the process go smoothly. The cleanup was also handled well. I would definitely recommend Express Roofing.

Our roof in Andover had definitely reached the point where it needed to be replaced. We had a few missing shingles and it was starting to show its age. Mike helped us choose a shingle color that ended up matching the house better than we expected. Once the project started, the crew stayed busy, worked efficiently, and had everything finished in a single day. They also did a thorough cleanup before leaving, which we appreciated. The first thing we noticed afterward was how much better the house looked. A couple of neighbors even commented on the new roof within the first week. We're really happy with how everything turned out.

The thing I remember most wasn't the roof. It was looking out the window halfway through the day and realizing how fast everything was moving. By that point the old roof was gone and the new one was already taking shape. I expected a week-long disruption. Instead it felt like it was over almost as soon as it started.

Amir, thank you for sharing this. A neighbor stopping to ask who did the work and then calling us themselves is the kind of referral that means everything to a company that has built its reputation one roof at a time in Merrimack and across the Merrimack Valley. We will pass your kind words along to Mike and the crew. We appreciate the trust and are glad the new roof exceeded expectations.

Camila, thank you for the kind words. A roof that looks like it belongs on the house rather than something that was just installed is exactly the standard we hold every job to in Methuen and across Essex County. Clean lines and a finished appearance that improves the home is what 40 years of experience looks like in practice. We appreciate you taking the time to share this.

When a ceiling stain appears near a chimney, the chimney is not always the real problem. Water can enter through deteriorated step flashing, a loose counterflashing joint, worn sealant, or shingles that were cut incorrectly around the masonry. Because the leak travels before it becomes visible, the stain may appear several feet from the actual entry point. Express Roofing helps Ayer homeowners trace chimney-area leaks to the source instead of covering the symptom. A careful repair around the flashing can protect the roof deck, insulation, and interior finishes from repeated water exposure.
