  They did my roof and now it is leaking, called to tell them, and the woman who answered the phone thought it was amusing, as they cannot do anything because it is too cold. Not very professional at all. In response to your response, you were chucking while telling me nothing you can do at this time, not very professional. When a customer is concerned his roof is leaking, and the person who is answering the phone is chuckling on the other end, appearing not to take it seriously, of course I would not proceed further with any discussion, I would just find another company that takes it seriously, and this is not the first time your company has ignored requests in the past to investigate issues with the roof. Also, I did not hang up, I said thank you before ending the call.

  I got my roof replaced in June 2019 and I am writing this review to highlight the series of horrible experiences that I had with Desi’s and how they messed up my roof. I would highly discourage everyone from hiring this company and WOULD NOT recommend them to anyone looking for a solid company and quality crew. I chose installation option with GAF Golden Pledge Warranty meaning, apart from other upgrades, all the vent holes were supposed to be covered and replaced with a ridge vent. On the day of job completion, the owner (Ray), very casually, mentioned that they installed a new ridge vent but left 2 vent holes. Upon asking additional questions, the owner admitted that the crew messed up and they forgot to install new plywood before laying out the shingles. He also said that they could have hid their mistake simply by covering it with metal pieces over 2 vents, which they didn’t do (guess I should thank them for it). So, they decided (without even bothering to inform the homeowner) to leave 2 vents along with the ridge vents. Upon communicating it to Ray that the whole experience left a bad taste in the mouth, he was extremely rude and gave me an attitude about this whole thing AS IF I was the one who screwed up the installation. He accepted the check and just took off. Minutes later, I received a call from Jeff (person who wrote the quote). He was exceptionally rude with me and tried to justify that an “onsite decision” was made because the length of ridge vent would not have provided “sufficient ventilation”. I, very respectfully, told him that if all he was going to do was justifying the mistake, which the owner had accepted in first place, there was no point in discussing it and at that moment, he hung up the phone on me. Talk about customer experience. Later, he sent me a flurry of text messages JUSTIFYING what was done but simply failed to answer a few key questions – 1. If the ridge vent was not sufficient to provide proper ventilation, why didn’t he make

  Had an appointment booked with Desi's to inspect my roof. The original appointment was rescheduled due to weather which was understandable. On the rescheduled date, no one showed up to my home. I called the office, and was told that they would be by home on "wednesday" at 8am. Once again, no one showed up. Called the office to cancel and went with Titan's Roof Works out of Oakville who were much more organized. The owner posted a response below which is partially accurate except for the fact that they DID NOT show up twice as indicated. They also did NOT return calls.

  This call came in on March 4th for pictures to be taken for an insurance claim. At that time there was snow on the roof. Our serviceman went there twice, but was unable to take pictures due to snow on the roof. According to our records, this gentleman was informed that we would be back the week of the 11th of March. On March 15th the call was cancelled and subsequently this review was posted.

  They do not want to work on all roof types. I have a 3 story condo and they would not give me a quote even though this roofing company was recommended to me. Seems they have limited capability or only do jobs that they do not have to put extra effort into.

  I was requiring an estimate on my roof with a flat roof section and a separate shed. The estimate by Desi's occurred while I was at work. The estimate on paper appeared comparable to other estimates, however it didn't include the flat roof portion. I understand that this is a different type of roof. Also, there was a quote for a bathroom vent for which one doesn't exist. I wanted to clarify with the estimator why there were no flat roof quote (most have a subcontracting roofer specializing in flat roofs), and to quote on my shed (that is so obviously in need of a new roof as well). After back and forth on email, I finally got a call back from the estimator. I asked about the flat roof and to quote me on the shed. I explained that I had looked in my attic myself and do see some mold due to likely baffles were not in place when additional insulation was blown in. I asked would they put them in when the roof was removed? The man HUFFED at me! Today I get an email indicating that they will not be estimating on my roof. I guess they wanted a quick job where the home owner knows little about their roof. Buyer beware. Educate yourself.

  Just to clarify, bathroom vents are put in as likely there was just a regular vent in place and improper venting can cause a mold issue. Additionally, we replace or add baffles whenever needed and this would not be an issue. If you felt that someone was rude to you, I apologize. A simple phone call to the office would have been sufficient to clarify any issues.

  I asked Desi for a quote on the 28th of the month letting them know full well what our situation was (our conditional offer on a house purchase runs out on August 1st and we need a quote a few days in advance to be able to negotiate buying a house that needed a new roof that we will be using Desi for). We were clearly and explicitly told that they had fixed and replaced a few roofs in our specific neighborhood complex with no issue and that they would go to the roof on the 29th in the morning and that we would have our information that day, if they were unable to go up on the 29th due to weather, we would receive all our info at the latest, on the 30th. Fully understandable, I would not want someone up on the roof in bad weather! On the 30th when we had still not received a quote or information, my fiance called and inquired. We were told that their ladder was not long enough to climb onto the roof and they had to wait until the next day to get the ladder from a worker who was using it (The 31st). (It's a two story townhouse... does this company only work on bungalows? Why would you take on a potential customer if you can't fit them in to your available ladder schedule?) As Desi has been referred to us by a prior customer, and we planned to use them as they came recommended, we said ok fine, please get us that quote asap so that we can buy this house knowing what it will cost us to replace the roof immediately. The 31st rolls around, its 4pm... No quote. We call... and this 55 year old company's (sole and single?) ladder is still unavailable. Now they tell us, sorry we wont be giving you a quote, we can't get up on the roof of a two story townhouse! Fine, well thanks for the run around and waste of time then Desi's. We thought the story was over though until August 1st rolls around and they call us and say, oh its not the ladder, it's that we won't work on a townhouse unless all the neighbors also want their roofs replaced.   We had Desi's top up our attic insulation in the fall. They were very thorough and clear in the quoting process, and very efficient on the day they came to do the insulation. They cleaned up after themselves and the whole process was very easy. Now that it's winter, the difference with the added insulation is very noticeable - no ice damming on our roof this year, and our furnace takes less time to warm up the house and the house stays warm much longer. Definitely recommend.

  Honest and reliable. I've had to have my roof patched a couple times due to animals and the Ray came each time to do the work. Honest about the work that needs to be done and fixed my roof fast. Can't recommend enough. Thanks Ray!

  So glad we went with Desi's Roofing. Their crew was like a well oiled machine, and you can tell they are totally experienced in their field. They were friendly and courteous, and they cleaned up meticulously. The final bill was exactly as they said it would be. They replace all the wood and shingles. It looks amazing now.

  Once again Desi roofing and especially RAY have saved the day. After coming home from holidays l found water outside our bathroom door. Immediately called Ray. He came out examined the situation, identified the problem and corrected it. I want to thank Ray and his wife for a job well done.

  I had a leak in my roof and wasn't sure if a roof replacement was needed. Ray took the time to swing by and take a look. He found a few areas that could be easily fixed and told me that I honestly didn't need a roof replacement. This is great service! Friendly, kind people doing business with honesty and integrity. When my roof does need to be done, I know who I will be calling. Thanks!

  Thanks Tina and Ray for the speedy and excellent service! Tina has been very helpful and pleasant to speak with every time we have called. Ray is an expert at repairs, very knowledgeable and experienced and a pleasant gentleman to work with. The repairs have been excellent and the cost very reasonable.   Hi - I recently interacted with Desi’s Roofing for a quote to delete an existing skylight. Communication with Tina was great and we arranged for an estimator to come and review. Ray was professional and knowledgable, as well provided suggestions on other solutions to what I was looking to do. I am not sure what route I’ll be going but did want to share they were a pleasure to deal with. I cannot speak to the output necessarily but customer service goes a long way and would suggest considering them for future roofing needs. Thanks again
