Probably the worst ever after sales support. They did a great job in installing the roof. The project manager was great and he was at the site the whole time. The cleanup was good. But after the roof was done one skylight started leaking. …

In 42 years we have learned when some things sit beyond their life the have a tendency to go bad or leak after they are moved. As with a skylight, it typically will begin to leak in one of two places when we remove the glass top to re-roof the house. 1) The old flashing will move and create a leak. No problem, we simply come back with a new factory flashing kit and the homeowner is our $119.00 which is our wholesale cost with no labor. 2) The glass joins the skylight with a rubber frame. UV rays breakdown the rubber and more time than not it will leak in the near future. Again, this is an easy fix. The homeowner will simply purchase a new skylight at our wholesale cost and we install it at cost. As always we explain to the homeowners with skylights that this is a reality of an old skylight. My son has been doing this a long time and is very careful to tell the homeowner and give them the option to leave the old or replace. He chose to leave the old skylight. When Mr. Singh called our office we went to the home and ran water for a long time around the flashing with no leaking. As soon as he ran the water on the top glass where it meets the frame; it started leaking. We know where the leaking is and why, Mr. Singh just refuses to realize rubber and UV rays don’t mix and the rubber will eventually fail. Mr. Singh was told at the job and when we went out to do a water test, we’d replace the skylight at cost so now is a good time to do the change out. He was told again by our Project Manager who did the test; that we would change the skylight out at cost. Then he called me demanding we fix what; in his mind; we broke. Again I told him we would gladly go out and replace the skylight and the flashing kit at cost (NO LABOR). 1—Skylight (Velux FS-S06) $506.33 1—Factory flashing kit $118.25 Total: $624.58 As you can see, this is a long way from the $2,000.00 Mr. Singh is claiming. In 42 years I have never had a complaint about skylights. Most homeowners

Horrendous customer service after installation. Took them 10 months to come out to evaluate a leak.

Although I was originally happy with the work performed by CRS when they replaced our roof in August 2017, I rescind all recommendations. Unfortunately, the original individual we worked with has since left the company; those remaining are unprofessional, do not stand by their work, and do not care about customer service. Two years after having our roof repaired, we noticed a leak in the garage – as well as mold blooms on the ceiling related to this leak. I contacted CRS via email on 2/24/19 to have them evaluate this leak. After 1 month of unexplained no-shows, Van Starling visited our property and looked at the roof from the sidewalk an quickly diagnosed it as a "gutter problem" and not his problem - despite never actually getting on the roof. However, he said he could “do us a favor.” We had not had any gutter issues prior to the roof installation, nor had we had any work done on the roof or gutters in the past two years that would lead to a problem. Despite promising to fix this issue, Mr. Starling cancelled and/or missed several subsequent appointments without any advance notice. This pattern of behavior repeated for >2 months, until 5/20/19. On that day, Mr. Starling was scheduled to arrive to assess/fix the leak, and we were instructed that he would call one hour before arriving. At 9am, I emailed the office to confirm this appointment was still on the calendar, as I had not receive any communication from CRS for ~2 weeks (ie, no confirmation of appointment date/time after the email in which it was originally scheduled); I received an email from the office at 1:30pm reiterating that Mr. Starling would call before he and his crew headed to our location. When I had not heard back from Mr. Starling at 4:45pm, I called and expressed concern that he was going to be cancelling this appointment for the 5th time in 2 months. At 5pm, I received a call directly from Mr. Starling: he sounded offended that I had called to check whether he would be arriving rather than

Unfortunate, called to schedule a quote and ended up being called a "tire kicker" and got hung up on. Van told me everything he knew about roofs, but had little interest in listening to what I wanted. Seemed old, rigid, and unhelpful. Truly a shame!

We regret that someone who refused to have CRS come to their home and sit down with he and his wife to answer any questions about their roof would give us a one (1) star rating without knowing about Consolidated Roofing. The answer to our … More

I had a terrible experience with the owner of Consolidated Roofing. I called to get an estimate and this guy insulted me during the phone call. He was loud and very, very rude. I told him that I owned rental property and I was calling around to several companies to get estimates on roof repairs. He said normally folks only call 1 or 2 companies. I told him that I had called 4. Does it really matter? I'm a potential customer and expect to be treated with dignity and respect. Needless to say, I called Baker, who has been in business for over 100 years and they were much more pleasant. Obviously, he doesn't need my business.

I had a roof put on by Consolidated Roofing last month. While I am happy with the roof, the office work and the owner havbev been the worst. First, our loan paperwork was messed up, and they blamed us and complained that they had to pay a fee with the loan company to get it fixed. Second. It turned out our house did not have a ridge vent. So the crew on site installed three attic fans. The PM for the job told me as an equal trade they would install the fans, and they would reimburse me the cost of the electrician to hook them when I emailed in the invoice. The owner did not want to pay that invoice either, insinuating that I was lying by saying he had to confirm that with the guy.. he never called me back to tell me one way or another. I was reimbursed but heard nothing more from the owner. The in less than a month, one of my skylights is leaking. Of course, it's the old skylight and not their work...no offered to come and look. Thet said the skylights were perfect working order when they installed the roof. Now, with it leaking, they want 450.00 each to replace the four skylights. I will not give Consolidated Roofing any more of my money.

Follow up: Last year I used CRS to replace my windows throughout my house, a major project and one I was not looking forward to doing. Van Starling was open, honest and true to his professionalism. My custom made, hurricane resistant windows were built quicker than promised and the installation, which I dreaded, was quick, clean and remarkable. I could not be more pleased with the exceptional quality, soundproofing and function of CRS's custom made windows. Unbelievably, the price for their highest quality windows was on par with the factory built windows I was replacing. Oh, did I mention that CRS's windows have a lifetime guarantee?? The last note of interest: I recently noticed a leak which I suspected came from a window or roof issue. Since Van had done both jobs, he sent a repairman out the next day! He used his investigative skills to determine to faulty area and quickly fixed the issue and I have not had a problem since, even under the same weather conditions. I am so thrilled with the products and service after the sale that I have received from Van and CRS. I highly recommend them for any roofing and window needs you may have. Consolidated Roofing Systems provided me the best service in my life. We had a previous roofer who did a terrible job. CRS was able to fix all of our leaks, gave us a beautiful roof and guaranteed the work for 50 years! What a great company, truly professional, clean and uber fast! Thanks CRS.

They fully replaced our roof here in Apex and did a wonderful job. Both Van and his son (also named Van) were super informative and helpful. From the initial consultation presentation, through the scheduling for the installation, through the actual installation, through the final cleanup after they finished everything, they were great. Thanks!

We had an excellent experience with Consolidated Roofing! From the first estimate through job completion, their team made the whole process easy and seamless. On the day of the job, the crew even showed up early and finished the job earlier than anticipated. They did a thorough job with care and clean up of our home. Our roof looks beautiful and we couldn’t be more pleased with the service we received from CRS. I have personally recommended them to friends because I trust their work!
