  Ms. Leong, We have searched our service department records and do not have record of you reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your home. Unfortunately, Ice Damming is considered a natural occurrence and has been especially bad in the GTA and surrounding areas in the 2025 and 2026 with the extreme winter weather. In your review you mentioned that all 3 occurrences have been attributed to Ice Damming, and 9 years between leaks (2016 to 2025) Tarion states that this is NOT a warrantable issue unless it is caused by a OBC violation, or a builder or material defect.   They did my townhome complex roof under dunpar contract in 2019. Had roof leak in 2024 Initially thought to be weather related but when my roofers went up there it indeed was major workmanship issues. Roof is only 5 years old but already multiple units have had leaks in the complex. When asked for a quote for repairs, I never received a reply back. Ended up going with a different roofer. Would not recommend this company for any type of roof work **reply to response: yes initially was thought to be weather from drone footage but when roofers went up, it was irrefutable workmanship issue, as stated, multiple units at a 5 year townhome has roof leak issues**

  Note that you received multiple reports stating that your issues were due to wind/environmental damage and your leak occurred after a storm and had not reoccurred. Unfortunately, our service department was not able to provide a quote due to scheduling.

  This company has horrible drivers! A man, who was driving a company car, nearly hit me off the road. He first cut in front of me, almost taking off the front of my car, and then when I showed I was irritated, he went behind me in my lane tailing me, then went into a right hand turning lane just to speed up and cut me off AGAIN. I have a whole video of his license plate. My daughter was also in the car with me. How dangerous of this man to be driving like this. I am simple appalled. Get your workers in check!

  All my shingles came off the roof the next day following a storm - apparently they only used two nails and was poorly installed.

  Chislett roofing has very poor workmanship! They were hired by Briarwood to complete houses in Sutton. 2.5 yrs later the roof is leaking and has to be repaired. I do not recommend them as there is no way a roof should leak after 2.5 yrs...I'm not the only one in the subdivision having issues..#poor customer service

  Excellent company to work with! Most impressed by the step by step procedure of replacing our shingles that was explained to us! And they followed through! Entire work was done by 4pm. Started at 7am. Very impressed! Highly recommend this company for your roofing needs!

  From Donna and Robert Evans. We found Chislett Roofing at the Newmarket Home Show and worked with Ray McDonald. The experience with this company was wonderful from start to finish. We needed a new roof fast as we had a leak. It was scheduled for a Thursday in April, but as the weather wasn't looking great, they asked if they could come on Wednesday. We have never had a company actually come earlier than expected. We mentioned to Ray that we thought we needed to add insulation. He took a look, said the amount of insulation we had was maximum, but that we needed baffles. Both roof was repaired, new shingles and baffles all done at the same time. Crew doing it were efficient, pleasant and fast. Everything done in an afternoon. Their inspector came a few days later to check it, check for any leftover material (none as crew did a very thorough cleanup). After the work was done, it rained for a solid week after. We are extremely grateful to this company and would hire them again anytime.

  Over the past 25 years Chislett has installed over 300 roofs for us. Quality of workmanship, service and professionalism has always been top notch. Would recommend them to anyone looking to have the job done right the first time.

  Ray delivered. So did everyone else I met on the Chislett team, but I spent by far the most time with Ray, figuring out what needed to be done. We ended up correcting the mistakes of two other roofing companies, plus the original builder. My problems originated with a poor balcony design that led to a persistent leak. It’s not an easy decision to abandon an expensive metal roof, but it was necessary in this case. It was a leap of faith during the long planning stage, but I was impressed once work got underway. Fascinating to observe how they could keep it economical with the right mix of people and technology. Follow up response was very good to correct a couple of details. Installation of Duradek on the new rebuilt balcony went well. Finishing touches on balcony trim were done while I was away on vacation, to my satisfaction. There are many fly by night companies out there, and thankfully Chislett is not one of them. Their work is to a high standard, on budget, and I definitely recommend them!
