  Okay craftsmanship. Awfully slow. Taking over a month and a half to finish the job and they said they would finish in two weeks. This business is so competitive I would definitely shop around

  We are sorry that the job took longer that expected. The tile manufacturer ran out of your color and had to make more tiles. This took a while.

  I had two issues. My pool gutter was rotting. That was fixed. The second was a stain in my bathroom ceiling. My estimator never went in the attic and assured me it was the stack on the outside was the problem. They took the tiles all up in a huge area and found no leaks. They left the tiles off for 5 days. They finally went into the attic and found I had a rodent issue dedicating in the bathroom ceiling area. Nothing needed to be fixed. I was still charge like they fixed that side of the roof.

  Way overpriced. We had bids for a very small roof and they were between 8k and 10k. Capps bid was 16k for the exact same materials.

  This company I’ve been trying to get them to repair my roof for over a month I’ve stopped in there at least four times giving my information and they said they would get back with me no one has ever gotten back with me they called once I return their call this company is not reliable

  Update August 2026 - Two years later from this original review, the roof showed enough wear that it was time to replace, here' the updated review. BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): After quite a bit of bids I went with Capp Roofing and in hindsight that was clearly a good decision. After having bids from multiple roofers, ended up going with Capp Roofing. They were not the lowest price, however they were far from being the highest price. They did have the first bid, so all others were evaluated with that knowledge. Here’s some of the the logic. -There are the high pressure national/regional companies. Most of those played games trying to get me to sign up right now, they were quite a bit overpriced probably due to all the hands out. Most significantly one told me they didn’t have their own crew and was going to just hire a local crew! So those fancy companies were out. -I elected not to go with, or even get bits, the very small companies. They probably would be okay on a smaller job as long as nothing went wrong, but I was worried they would bail or not support the effort -That left a couple of local companies which seemed to have reasonable resources. Of those, Capp had the strongest word of mouth. I also knew them from previous work. Note on price, Capp clearly does not play games, the price is the price and it’s not only based on the direct calculation, but an allowance to cover if things go wrong. So the price is the bid price, but they didn’t nickle and dime when they found rotted wood that was replaced and even repainted. Even if a piece was questionable, they replaced it. No extra cost, Price is the Price. I understand that is not always normal practice and other companies might make bill extra $$ for any unexpected findings. Capp covered any unseen problems. The actual install was more complicated than anticipated due to unexpected poor weather. They clearly did their best to keep the project on tract despite these delays. So Capp offered thei

  The team from Capps recently completed a repair/replace/reinvent job on my roof and gutter system. The house has a challenging design, but they did a great job (in intense heat) and wrapped things up on time and on budget, I'm very pleased.

  First class all the way. They were efficient and got the job pretty much done in a couple of days, restoring the gutters on the third day. It looks great and doesn't leak. What more could you ask for?

  We have used Capps Roofing for our house in Hobe Sound and the workmanship and efficiency were outstanding. We love our metal roof! More recently, we hired Capps to put a new roof (shingle)on on my mother's house and again the workmanship and efficiency were great. I highly recommend them for any roofing needs.

  Blake and his crew recently installed my roof in Hobe Sound. The crew was very timely, Professional and meticulous. At the latter part of the project, I added a cupola to the list to install. Blake and his crew did so without issue and the roof looks amazing. I would greatly recommend Capp’s roofing for all of your future roof needs.

  UPDATE! POSITIVE: Still FIVE STARS: * * * * * We got a new roof: A straightforward silver-gray standing seam metal roof. It was not as fancy as some of the neighbors', in that it was not powder-coated color, or have embossing to make the metal look like something it is not; but it was not the cheapest available, either. The county inspector commented favorably on our choice of the standing seam option--the fasteners are likely to last longer--and it does look better than the very least expensive option. It is more than worth the relatively small difference in price. The work came in two waves: the removal of the asphalt tiles and laying in of the underliner and metal valleys; and then, not long after, the attachment of the long sheets of metal. The work went very smoothly, with hardly a disruption to our family life (although the necessary pounding can set off the burglar alarm!). The clean up was well done, though our shoes and feet did find a stray nail or two afterwards--but even bags of frozen cherries warn you to be careful about pits. The price was exactly as quoted. We are proud to have their sign outside. Neighbors have complimented us on the new roof. I’ve used Capps Roofing twice for repairs and have been fully satisfied both times. They are efficient, honest, and thorough. I reviewed them after my first repair and what I said then still stands: Pleasant representative; and once I agreed to the repair quote, an unexpectedly quick, professional repair. I hope I won’t need any other urgent repair elsewhere on the roof, but if I do, they will be the one I call.
