  We hired Bergstrom Home Improvements in 2016 to install a tiled shower and bathroom floor, paying over $6,000. Within a year, the grout cracked and tiles fell off. They charged us another $300 to re-grout, but the shower continued to deteriorate. By 2019–2020 it cracked everywhere and smelled terrible. A second contractor discovered there was no waterproofing behind the tile at all, and the entire shower had to be torn out and rebuilt. He did the job correctly for about half the price, and it has been perfect for over five years. When we went back to Bergstrom, they refused to help and blamed it on our house “settling,” which was not true. We were left with the full cost of repairing their poor work. I cannot recommend this company. Their workmanship failed, they took no responsibility, and it caused us significant stress and expense. Avoid if you want quality or integrity.

  Last year I got an estimate on siding. 35,000. This year I had another company do the same job, FANTASTIC work for 25,000.

  I tried to communicate with them and the secretary hung on me when I was trying to explain all she had to tell him was call and let us know what's going.

  I will never use Bergsrtom's , again. I chose one carpet and got something completely different. Thank goodness I liked it. The painting was sloppy, paint was left in both the kitchen and bathroom sinks, the carpet wasn't laid well. Just shoddy workmanship all around.

  They were extremely expensive, charged us for work they did not complete, some siding is crocked, did place backing on some siding, and took longer than expected. Financing was sent in prior to walk-through so they stated no adjustments could be made.

  Mike Bergstrom and all of his staff were absolutely amazing. They helped us through every step of the process of building our back patio. They had wonderful ideas to help complement our ideas too. Very professional, skilled and friendly, they felt like family. We would highly recommend them.

  I have had several projects completed by Bergstrom and I won’t use anyone else! Mike is great to work with and he has a fantastic team. They are timely, efficient, clean up in the evenings, and their work is very professional.

  Very competent staff did a great job of replacing two old garage doors that were literally falling apart with one large door that is controlled with a remote. Also designed and painted garage to fit beautifully with house. All staff were great to work with, won’t hesitate to call Bergstrom again for other projects. Kokomo is lucky to have them!

  Bergstroms did a beautiful job in diagnosing an interior water leak that required reflashing and replacing exterior cement board on outside of home as well as other necessary items. Today after a heavy rain we’re happy to say we’re rain free in the house due to their expert diagnosis and work. Thank you Bergstrom!

  Converted old pool house to all-season workshop. The team at Bergstrom Home Improvement helped me plan the project and work out the details. They are awesome to work with, and I am already planning additional work with them. I highly recommend them.

  We are currently using Bergstrom Home Improvement for a large addition and remodel project, and we could not be happier with our decision. They are building an addition that includes a suite, two bedrooms, and an office, while also remodeling the master suite in our existing home. Mike, the owner, has been wonderful to work with from the start. He really listened to everything we wanted and was always willing to make adjustments when we changed our minds or wanted to tweak something. When unforeseen circumstances came up, he responded quickly and worked with us every step of the way. Everyone on their crew has been polite, professional, and incredibly helpful. They do excellent work, answer questions patiently, and always clean up at the end of the day. We especially appreciate how kind and patient they have been with our two very curious puppies constantly trying to “supervise” the project. Courtney designed our master bathroom remodel, and she has been amazing. She has fantastic taste, great ideas, and communicates so well throughout the process. She truly listens to your style, wants, and budget. I also appreciated how honest she was when something might clash or not work well, while still respecting our choices and never making us feel pressured or talked down to. This addition and remodel is a major investment, and Bergstrom’s quote was one of the highest we received. That said, we absolutely believe they are worth the price. They go above and beyond, stand behind their work, and provide quality craftsmanship and customer service that is hard to find. We are so glad we chose them and would gladly pay the same price again for the experience and results they have provided.
