  I contacted Becker’s Chimney & Roofing about a spongy area on my deck and a front step repair. Their representative, Mark, came out first to inspect the problem before any proposal was issued. After I showed him the soft area, he said he could not determine the exact cause because a PVC sheet was covering the underside and explained that the PVC would need to be removed to properly diagnose the issue. Based on that explanation, the written proposal was later prepared describing PVC removal and diagnostic work. I paid a $455 deposit, which represented 50% of the quoted cost for the deck and front step repair work. At the later service appointment, a different technician came, inspected from underneath, took photos, and said PVC removal was not necessary. He stated the prior estimate was incorrect and that only five deck beams needed repair. No PVC was removed, no repair work was performed, and the front step repair was not started. I was told the work would need a new estimate and to be scheduled again. Afterward, the company advised that the entire deck needed replacement. I then hired another contractor who independently confirmed that five beams needed repair — not a full deck rebuild. Following the visit, I received changing invoices and additional payment demands. During my attempts to clarify the estimate and billing, I received phone calls stating that legal action would be pursued if payment was not made. I disputed the charges in writing. The company ultimately waived the remaining balance and closed the account but declined to refund my $455 deposit, stating the visit counted as diagnostic service. My experience involved conflicting assessments between technicians, differences between the initial diagnosis approach and the later inspection method, and a billing dispute despite no repair work being completed.   Estimate for chimney repair was over$10,000. By far the highest quote of the 4. Got the job done by a highly recommended masonry company-$900.

  Hey John we’re sorry you feel that way, but clearly the job you had done and the estimate Beckers provided were different options. We quoted to tear down and rebuild a section of your chimney that is free-standing above your roof line and is approximately 30-ft tall (our estimate was under $10,000 by the way) We understand all contractors have different opinions on what repairs need to be made to feel confident we leave your home safe. As a small family owned company we are truly confused why you would want to leave a review when we didn’t perform any work for you. We wish you good luck on all your future repairs on your home.

  When you request an estimate and instead they send you an application for a loan! If they can't do simple paperwork, I don't want them working on my house. What else do they not do well?

  I had a few small things I needed done on my roof, and Becker’s cost would have been $2200. Fortunately , I had 4 other companies come out to look as I’m a thorough shopper. Not one was more than $700–leas than one third of Becker’s price. Disgraceful gouging.

  Hi Jack, we are sorry you feel that way. In no way we’re we trying to price gouge. We feel this is an unfair review of Beckers. 40 foot ladders and walk planks were necessary to complete this repair to keep our workers safe. This was a 3 1/2 story turret roof repair and a custom slate roof repair off a ladder along with unclogging gutters and downspouts as well as checking your flat roof and installing the necessary diverter for water to stop pouring down your slate roof.   BEWARE OF BECKER’S!!!! Becker’s completely wasted my time. They seemed to be extremely professional, until they received my deposit. A gentleman came over to look at my roof during the first week of June and stated I only needed a roof repair. He stated the work would be scheduled in 2-4 weeks. Once I spoke with Glenda she informed me the repair would take 4-6 weeks. I explained the gentleman that came over to do the estimate stated 2-4 weeks and I was concerned with further damage waiting the new time frame. She stated she talked to the Scheduler and they will have me scheduled for early/late July. I wasn’t happy, however, I had already begun the process with them and decided to stick with it. I asked Glenda to send me the documentation in reference to the warranty and I never received it. I emailed her and received a response from Gary stating “ I'm sorry, a warranty document for what?” I explained and he stated he would have Glenda follow up. That was concern #2. I dropped off my cash deposit that same week and the countdown began. I received a call from Shania this past Saturday informing me my appointment would not be until October 21st. I informed Shania that wasn’t going to work. I explained waiting until October could cause additional damage and if I would’ve known it was going to be October from day 1, I would’ve sought business elsewhere. I explained Glenda told me she talked to the Scheduler and confirmed early/late July. Shania stated she is the only Scheduler and Glenda never talked to her. At this point I was beyond disappointed. I felt taken advantage of. They had my money and had the power to change my appointment at will without a care of what that would do to my roof. Shania told me she would talk to the office and possibly issue a refund. I emailed Glenda on Saturday and explained I wanted to move forward with the service, however, for the date promised. I never received a response back. I received a voice mail from Shania TODAY saying they mailed

  DONT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR SERVICE! They did not listen to anything i have said they postponed my appointment 4-5 times with out reaching out to me. They didn’t listen to not a single word i said and cancelled my appointment when i clearly told them not to because i just moved into that house were the seller paid for it.

  I received a full roof replacement by Becker’s 1 day ago and they were phenomenal. They were very responsive with communication, made the process extraordinarily easy for me, they did not engage in “hard sell” tactics. The roofers were timely, efficient, and did an excellent job. Clean up was done promptly with no left over debris— the property was left better than they found it. Bryan and Beau were helpful throughout the process and I would recommend their roofing services to anyone.

  Jaden and John were incredibly professional, efficient, nice, and thorough. They installed a roof collar and 2 chimney caps. They also notified me and gave an assessment about the brick and mortars condition and some suggested preventative repairs and maintenance. Great experience overall.

  I had a porch exterior that needed to be replaced. I contacted Becker's Chimney and Roofing and Joe DeMaio was my project manager. What a blessing he was! He designed the new porch with incredible detail, had suggestions for things I hadn't considered, communicated clearly and the project was completed on time and perfectly. The quality he required was impressive. The folks that performed the work were excellent and committed to completing the job on time and in a high quality way.   I’m a return customer with Becker Roofing services. Becker worked on my previous home back in 2020. Their services were immaculate-with excellent communication throughout the whole process. I contacted them again for my new home, and Brandon Becker completed my free estimate, and fixed minor problems without cost.   We had a great experience with Becker’s Chimney And Roofing LLC. They cleaned and inspected our chimney this past spring, and the service was professional, thorough, and on time. During the winter, our old damper fell out of the chimney, so we had them install a new one. The replacement was done quickly, and everything works perfectly. The team was knowledgeable, courteous, and took the time to answer our questions. It’s refreshing to work with a company that is honest, dependable, and takes pride in their work.
