  We first contracted with Bauer Specialty in February 2025 to replace the roofing and gutters on our house and barn. Those projects were completed on time and generally met our expectations, with the exception of one original downspout that was not replaced, resulting in overflow during heavy rains. Based on that experience, we signed another contract with Bauer Specialty in May 2025 for new vinyl siding and Pella replacement windows for our entire house. Now, more than 15 months later, at the end of July 2026, this project remains incomplete. Bauer Specialty has informed us that they are unable to complete the interior finish work associated with many of the window installations. The need for this additional interior work resulted from incorrect measurements taken by Bauer Specialty when ordering the replacement windows from Pella. Because the windows were slightly oversized, all of the interior casing and trim had to be removed and replaced. As a result, the interior framing around our bedroom windows has remained exposed, with no casing or trim installed, for approximately one year. Bauer Specialty has stated that they have been unable to find a finish carpenter to complete the work. Instead, they have offered a small discount in exchange for leaving the interior finish work unfinished and requiring us to complete it ourselves. We consider this proposal unacceptable. In addition, we have identified more than 20 other items that remain incomplete or were performed in a poor or unworkmanlike manner. Given the excessive delays, the unfinished work, and the quality concerns, we have requested that Bauer Specialty consider the contract paid in full and terminate the agreement, allowing us to hire another contractor to complete the remaining work. We provided them with a detailed list of the outstanding issues and our proposed resolution almost two weeks ago and are currently awaiting their formal response.

  Had follow-up work done on a previous insulation job due to continuing ice issues. Work was performed during the summer months and was advised to contact them once winter arrived should there still be issues and they would correct any problems. Guess what …. There were still problems and when contacting the consultant …. Emails with pictures remained unanswered …. Later found out consultant was no longer with Bauer. Even when they did follow up to advise of the situation, they have totally gone black, no further contact other than this request for a review! Go figure!!!

  I really wanted to leave a great review and have a no hassle process. That's why I called Bauer based on reviews here. Unfortunately this has been a nightmare. From the first repair leaking and not being done correctly as discussed. The second repair which was still not done correctly but at least didn't leak, and the fact that nobody will answer a phone when you call the office. At least someone could have been professional and called to follow up. I could have called any fly by night contractor and gotten this treatment.

  Crooked company with crooked owners. You have to wonder about a company that just keeps adding services in order to keep their not so talented crew busy. Our family has been in business for 35 years and have never had someone stab my father in the back like the Bauers.

  Bauer Specialty Gutters What can I say, it took a month to be treated as a customer as their office misplaced not only my check but also my signed contract. When the team finally showed up to do the work someone in the office decided that I only wanted part of the job done but NEVER bothered to ask or tell me about the changes. And the quality of workmanship. A picture is worth a thousand words, you decide for yourself. And lastly, I've been waiting for the GENERAL MANAGER to respond for weeks. Apparently, that's not going to happen eighter. CONSUMER BEWARE.!!

  Insulation done above a newly renovated Bathroom that had a problem with frozen pipes. No access which meant removal of a 16” wide by 6’ area of the Roof to blow Insulation in. Marc, Joe and Braydon arrived on time and got the job done in a timely manner. They were very professional and when the job was done you would never know a piece of our Roof was removed and replaced. They went above and beyond and pointed out a problem with the Bathroom Vent not being Vented out. They took care of that too. They also added extra wall board to keep the Pipes well Insulated from the cold area of outer Wall. We were shown photos of the finished job. The work area was well cleaned up before everyone left. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND BAUERS SPECIALTY for your home care needs!!

  We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Brandon & Joe, installers with Bauer Gutter Leaf Guard. They spent several hours at our home replacing broken leaf guards, thoroughly cleaning out accumulated debris, and getting our gutters back to proper working condition. Their work was excellent, thorough, and professional. But what impressed us just as much was the kind of people they are. While working at our home, they came across a severely injured baby deer that desperately needed help. Rather than ignoring it or simply moving on with their work, they took the time to contact the police and rescue services and made sure the little deer received the help it needed. It was genuinely touching to see that kind of compassion. Excellent workmanship is important, but seeing people show such care and concern when no one expects it says so much about their character. Truly amazing humans who care about doing the right thing in every way.

  Xavier and Braiden did a great job installing 2 new gutters to the front of my house, cleaning out some existing gutters, and installing leafguards on new and existing gutters. The two of them were respectful, friendly, and knocked out the job quickly. Would recommend.

  Joe and Dan provided a text to tell me their arrival time and they showed up exactly on time. Both Joe and Dan were polite, very knowledgeable, careful of my property, used very safe working practices, and exceptionally professional. They constantly worked on the project with the right equipment and were purposefully focused on correctly doing the work. All of the estimated work is properly completed.
