This is the most dishonest company I have dealt with, and would not recommend them to anyone. I Contracted them to do general repairs on my wife house in Atlanta, (we live in california) to replace roof and repair the decking. We paid them in excess of $20000, at the end of the project only the roof was done the decking which is in a state of total decay was untouched, this d was one of the primary reasons they were hired. When we found out the decking was not repaired and call their point man Chad Felkel he pretended and was and is still adamant that the decking was not part of the contract, ridiculous. We filed a complaint with the Georgia Licensing Board that regulate residential contractors and will be seeking legal advise.

We take customer feedback very seriously, but we must respectfully clarify the scope of work completed for this project. Per our signed agreement from September 2025, our scope for the deck was strictly structural: installing a steel helical pier, pouring concrete footings, building temporary support walls, and rebuilding the brick support columns. We successfully completed these structural repairs and the full roof replacement as contracted. Power washing or staining the surface of the deck was never requested, quoted, or included in our scope of work. When you reached out months after completion, following feedback from a third-party handyman, Chad promptly spoke with you and even offered to coordinate and complete the surface power washing at our direct cost as a courtesy. We apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the contract scope, but we stand by the quality and accuracy of the structural work we were hired to perform. If you would like to discuss Chad’s previous offer, please feel free to reach out to our office directly.

Do Not Hire Them Still having issues 03/13/26 They had no problem going door to door and having my insurance pay for part of it... ***Update 12/20/25 *** Back to 1 star! Roof is already leaking. And shingles are coming off. DO NOT USE ARAC ***Update 02/28/22 *** They came back after fighting for years to address issues. For that I am appreciative. And raising from 1 star to 3. Reason not 4+. I have a shingle falling off and gutters are still not right. Now have squirrels in gutters. Original install had facilities that blocked them access. Looking for alternate company to come and resolve issues at my cost. *** Update 07/27/21 *** I'm the president of our HOA and a US Marine, and you would think that I should know better than to trust ARAC after all this time, at their word. After having to report them to BBB, they came back and repaired a few spots on the roof. But they are using the fine print of the contract to not repair the disaster they created of my gutters. They are a general contractor that uses subcontractors to perform the work. They don't hold them accountable once they have your Money. So, I'm left with dented and scratched (from ladders and workers) gutters and gutter guards (that they didn't number to reassemble) that they lazily forced together by randomly cutting aluminum with a hatchet job. My house looks horrible. Pictures tell 1000 words. Check out my other reviews to see my history. I don't use this platform to complain unless terrible experience. Taking advantage of military personnel, during Covid-19, etc. is despicable. Shame on you ARAC!!!! *** Update 06/30/21 *** I had to open a case with the BBB and Trust Dale We started our roof on 02/08/19 Still not resolved!!! Check out pictures! *** Original Review **** I DO NOT Recommend ARAC. It took almost a year to have my roof completed. It is now 2 years later and.... 1. Gutter Guards that they removed to install and replace roof are a disaster after they tried to reinstall them - hous

I was actually excited after meeting with Roof It Forward. They knocked on our door, spent over an hour walking me through the entire process, and were incredibly convincing and personable. They even helped me call my insurance and assured me they would be present for the inspection. I confirmed again via text the day before, and they reassured me they would be there. On the day of the inspection, they were a complete no show. I called the office and was told that either David, I believe that was his name, or the representative I spoke with would call me back within ten minutes. An hour later, after hearing nothing, I called back to follow up. Not only did no one show up, but no one returned my call either. I eventually received a call back a week and a half later, which I chose not to answer or return. At that point, it was simply too late. I am now working with another company that has followed through on every promise they made.

Hi Nicole, We sincerely apologize for your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry that we did not follow through on our commitment to be present at your inspection or return your calls in a timely manner. That is not the level of service we strive to provide, and we understand how frustrating and disappointing this must have been—especially after the trust you placed in us during your initial meeting. Your comments highlight a clear breakdown in communication and follow‑through on our part, and for that we take full responsibility. While we regret that we lost the opportunity to work with you, we respect your decision and are glad to hear you have found a company that has met your expectations. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Feedback like yours is invaluable and helps us improve our processes so this does not happen again. We truly wish you the best with your project moving forward. — Roof It Forward

They replaced my roof causing damage to the decking and drywall on ceiling in a bedroom. Have called to have them come see the damage. They have not come and state they are not responsible! I have now contacted an attorney to handle this for me. PLEASE, Do NOT use this company!
Reply from the business
We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. Before the project began, we reviewed the roofing expectation form with you, and based on the photos provided, the evidence shows there was pre-existing interior damage. We also spoke with you directly about these ceiling concerns immediately after the job. We always aim to be transparent about existing damage and the scope of our work. Because you have indicated this matter is now being handled through legal counsel, we will continue to respond exclusively through the appropriate legal channels. We look forward to a formal resolution, which will include addressing the outstanding balance of nearly $3,000 still owed to us for the roofing work performed on the property.

Sadly I have to find the way that this company responds to our request as customers. We were in Florida when the roof was replaced and we came to our house in Ellijay and the roof is sagging, leaking on our new wood floors and the ridge of the roof is all wavy. This is the first time we have an experience like this with a roofing company… we have replaced many, many roofs in our experience as land lords and we are honest and kind people. All we are asking for is a roof well installed and the attention of a company who care about its customers. We paid full price and paid as soon as they sent us pictures. We need this company to solve this problem because we paid for it. Nobody answers the phone, reply to our emails. The service guy is not answering the phone anymore.

PUBLIC NOTICE – Roofing Issues with Roof It Forward Posting this publicly because we’ve reached a point where accountability and resolution cannot be achieved privately. We hired Roof It Forward to install a new roof. They installed it over a structure with trusses spaced too widely, which any competent installer would recognize requires plywood decking to prevent sagging. Instead of stopping work and informing us, they went ahead and installed shingles, resulting in visible sagging across the roof. We’ve also had two leaks from a poorly sealed skylight, which damaged hardwood floors. Their own Head of Warranty has now been out twice, confirmed deficiencies with the ridge vent installation, and acknowledged that we should have been contacted during install to address the structural issue. Under Georgia law, contractors must perform work in a competent, workmanlike manner and notify homeowners when structural issues materially affect installation. When they don’t, repairs are their responsibility, not the homeowner’s. We have requested that Roof It Forward: • Install proper plywood decking to correct the sagging • Replace the affected shingles • Fully repair skylight and ridge vent issues At their expense. A major part of the problem is communication: We have no access to anyone in leadership — no phone numbers, emails, or points of escalation exist beyond the warranty manager. He has forwarded our information internally, but no one in management has returned a call or email. If we do not receive a satisfactory plan to remediate the work, our next step is filing in Gilmer County Magistrate Court to secure action and recovery. We would prefer to resolve this professionally and promptly, but we will pursue every option required to protect our home. Homeowners: Vet your contractors carefully. Ask questions. Demand transparency and accountability.

We take concerns about workmanship seriously and want to clarify several important facts that are missing or misstated in this review. During our initial inspection, we identified a significant pre existing structural framing issue as the cause of the roof sagging. The rafters on the affected slope were spaced nearly 48 inches apart, which is well outside typical industry standards and compromises structural integrity. This condition existed prior to our involvement and was not caused by the roofing installation. We clearly communicated this finding to the homeowner and recommended adding additional framing to properly correct the underlying structural problem and prevent future sagging. The homeowner declined that recommendation and stated he intended to sell the home, requesting a solution that would “look good long enough to sell.” Based on that direction, he chose a reduced scope of work, limited to replacing decking and a section of shingles, and signed a revised contract reflecting that decision. All work was completed under the supervision of our production manager with the homeowner present on site. Upon completion, the homeowner confirmed satisfaction with the repairs and stated he would submit payment online that evening. Additionally, our team observed that a load bearing wall had previously been removed inside the home and replaced with a beam, which may have further contributed to the roof sag. These structural conditions are unrelated to our roofing work. We also want to note that the original roof masked the appearance of the sagging. The homeowner was offered the same dimensional architectural shingle as the original roof but opted for a less expensive shingle, consistent with his stated goal of addressing appearance rather than correcting the structural issue. We stand by the quality of our work and the documented scope that was approved and completed. While we always strive to resolve matters professionally, it’s important that public review

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! So let me start off by saying, Roof It Foward only repaired some damage, the rest is to be determined... They were contracted through my HOA. There was lack of care when repairing my roof. First, when trying to enter and exit my home the roofers refused to stop throwing debris. Yes they may not have know English but I also speak Spanish which I did and they still kept working. Spoke to the lead man there and they still kept throwing. Mike Blanton told me that is their job and I was not supposed to request for them to stop. So I was supposed to let them throw nails and roofing on me? Bad response. Second they left black marks on the siding and windows, still not cleaned from months ago. Some of my screens were torn, he had them repaired. He later questioned if the were damaged by the falling debris, which I thought was rude. He should have been transparent about how he felt before he took any screens if that's how he felt, and we discussed that! I explained the ripped screens correlated with the black markings. Third, they had to come back to fix my attic ceiling because someone knocked off the wood (photo attached). We scheduled them to come back on a day my husband specifically left work early to be home (that's money) and no one called or showed up! As an apology Mike gave us a $100 gift card for dinner. We thanked him but that was still very unprofessional, not to mention I had to call and let Mike know no one showed up. I explained to him people have jobs and time is important. Someone eventually came and repaired it. Initially, Mike was good at communicating until there were more problems. Fourth, I requested someone fix the cellophane hanging from the roof as it should not be showing, no reply, I am still waiting for it to be fixed. Fifth, the workers did a poor job cleaning up after, we had to pick up debris left over. It's a shame because I really don't like giving poor reviews but I have to share my experience. As most people, you

We do realize that moving into an HOA townhouse complex during a roofing project can be a bit tricky. We regret to hear that this unfortunate event happened despite all of our posts, letters, and communication with the HOA. Thank you for letting us know your concerns and we hope in the future we will be able to help you.

I rarely post reviews, but this experience deserves one. We hired this company in September to fix a ceiling leak. I even double-checked with their rep, Billy Harrison, whether the repair would last. He said it would — confidently. Fast-forward to the first rain since then, and the same leak is back. Billy ignored follow-ups, and another professional later found the real source — a hole that was clearly overlooked. Policies aside, quality and accountability matter. This company failed on both counts. I’d think twice before trusting them with your home repairs.

We had a great experience with ARAC Roof It Forward. Joey McLemore was our contact and he provided us great service for our Big Canoe cabin. They are prompt, professional, and thorough. We especially liked the descriptive videos he would take on our roof so that we can see the roof for ourselves. We needed a follow up appointment because of a concern and Joey came out and fixed the problem for no additional cost. We will definitely use them again for our roofing needs.

I am pretty unimpressed with this business. The people who work there are quite nice, but they are disorganized. First, when they come out to give you a quote - they are pricing it out to subcontractors. We had an appointment for 8 am on a Tuesday - and I waited around and finally called to ask where they were and was told the crew would arrive at 4 pm. They didn't arrive at all. When we rescheduled - the crew came out and did an efficient job. However, I had to pepper the office with calls to get a time they would arrive, bc I didn't have all day to wait around. Also, I paid the balance on time, but got an "automated message" that I had not paid. I had to check my bank balances, contact the sales rep and was told "Oh, don't worry. You paid, it was just an automated message." That too was very stressful. I can't say I would go with this company again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your honest feedback. We are glad to hear our team was polite and that our crew completed your project efficiently, but we sincerely apologize for the communication breakdowns along the way. Showing up on time, keeping you informed, and ensuring accurate billing are basic standards we hold ourselves to, and we clearly fell short during your scheduling and payment follow-up. We are addressing these process gaps internally to prevent automated billing errors and scheduling delays for future clients. We appreciate your business and the feedback that helps us improve.

5 stars all around!! Jimmie and Matthew and their crew did an amazing job from start to finish. I was told to get 3 inspections done for hail damage and to go with the the majority. We were told by 2/3 that there was no hail damage. We decided to go with them because they were very knowledgeable and seemed confident that we did have hail damage. Come to find out we did and they got homeowners insurance to cover our replacement. 10/5 stars. Will always recommend these guys!

We wanted to use Roof It Forward based on the good reviews and their charitable mission. They are sponsors on a YouTube channel I subscribe to and they have 30 plus years in the roofing business. My previous roofing company did shoddy work, therefore I had a leak along the main roof ridge. So I called Roof It Forward and Matthew came out promptly and did a thorough inspection that revealed more of the inferior workmanship of the previous company who we found out is no longer in business due to filing bankruptcy and lawsuits against them. We got the work scheduled and they were good at communicating each step of the process. The crew came and knocked it out in one day despite an afternoon thunderstorm that came out of nowhere. We were so pleased with their work that we also got new gutters and downspouts installed with Roof It Forward as well. Thanks to Matthew and the team this should be the last roof and gutters we need to purchase from here on. I only gave 4 stars and not 5 due to a problem with the dump trailer that blocked my driveway longer than expected. It did look a little beat up, so not surprising that it had issues keeping it from being towed away. I would still highly recommend Roof It Forward and Matthew to be your next roofing company hire.

I had a great experience working with Chad Felkel at Roof It Forward. Although we ultimately decided to go with another company for our roofing project, Chad did an excellent job throughout the entire process. He provided a very detailed proposal, thoroughly explained everything, completed a great inspection, communicated extremely well, and offered a very competitive price. Most importantly, he worked with us every step of the way and was always professional and helpful. I would definitely recommend Chad and Roof It Forward to anyone looking for a roofing company. Even though they weren’t the company we ultimately chose, Chad earned our respect through his professionalism and dedication.
