  Anthony C Leonard installed my roof in 2008. Now, 16 years later, the roof has some cracked and missing shingles. When contacted for repair, not only would they not honor their warranty, they told me the 30 year roof they installed 16 years ago is too damaged to repair and has to be replaced. This despite having a home inspector certify the roof for another 5 years of useful life and verify no leaks just a week earlier. Apparently you can't count on them to repair the roofs they install.

  UPDATE : They say they will report as inappropriate. SO shall I post the 2 emails from Dan ? Go ahead call me a liar and I will show who lied. In further reviews YES I WILL post the two emails from Dan. I contacted this company because they did the re-roof when I bought my home. After Hurricane Ian I had damage. I called to get a quote as I wanted them to do the re-roof. Never came out and Dan only quoted by looking at a satellite photo AND of course he missed me having a skylight. His quote was $10,0000.00 over priced ! $10,000.00 !Then when I made them aware Dan missed the skylight he sent another quote adding $1000.00 for the skylight ... making the quote a full $11,000.00 higher than all the others for others doing BOTH my buildings while Anthony Leonard only quoted for the house. That's right I got BOTH done for $11,000.00 LESS ! I bought the highest quality GAF system and got both buildings done and saved a full $11,000.00. It is dispicable what Anthony Leonard did taking advantage of a disater attempting to extort the local folks who they serve. Yes, y'all should be aware of this behavior. I was told they were "SO BUSY" they could not come out but Dan would quote the job. Being so busy is a problem that will fix itself by this behavior. Next year Anthony Leonard will not be so busy. I DO tell my neighbors BEWARE, if we did not, this rip off continues.

  Note: This review has been reported to Google and flagged per Google reviews policy as "Fake Engagement: Content that is not based on a real experience and does not accurately represent the location or product in question."  Our team is in the field meeting with customers daily.  We offer a satellite estimate option to customers who request it, and many do for efficiency and accuracy - especially if they've done work with us in the past.   We do not inflate pricing. We do not work for insurance companies, nor have a different set of pricing for insurance related work.  After 40 years in the business, we still do not require deposits, and allow for free cancellations. We are aware of no other company that offers this. The average price of a shingle roof is $15,000, and there is no scenario where our pricing would come in $11,000 higher than a legitimate contractor.  We strongly dispute the validity of this review, and suspect slanderous intent.

  I had a new roof installed August 2022. The quote was $14,000 which was overinflated to begin with but they were recommended so I took a chance. They promised progress photos and text updates. I never received either however I did receive the final bill which had an extra charge of $1650.00. They said it was for additional wood repair - keep in mind 5 sheets were included. Upon request they could not produce any progress pictures or proof of more than 5 sheets so they adjusted the change order to $196.00 for one additional sheet - which I paid. Fast forward to today, we suffered Hurricane Ian damage on the brand new roof and upon inspection (by my adjuster) we found only ONE piece of wood was replaced - not 6. Another issue is that the ridge caps were all blown off which in itself is not that big of a deal because the underlayment acts as an additional barrier from water leak however - the underlayment was all sliced and cut on three of the four ridges. This is likely from where the roofers were cutting the shingles and cut too deep. So I have leaks in 5 spots in my house along with a ceiling collapse. I spoke to the office and they agreed I would get priority due to the leaks. A few days later I received an estimate of $500 to repair soffits but no mention of the roof damage. Every single day since I have begged for their attention and they won't even so much as call me back, return an email or anything. I am more than happy to express my disappointment in their lies (sheets of wood), lack of customer service (not responding), greed (overcharging me) and workmanship (the cut underlayment). I can definitely say with a clear conscience that Anthony Leonard Roofing has done me wrong - and I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Please save yourself the trouble - go elsewhere.

  **beware, they do not honor their leak free warranty** When I purchase my home the roof was and still is under the 10 year leak free warranty. I discovered a focal point that was leaking in 2020. Contacted the company. At first they were amazing. Very responsive and came out multiple times to “patch” the leak. I thought it was all taken care of until the recent hurricane hit. The same spot sprung a leak again. Trying to contact them was a nightmare. The owner Dan Leonard personally emailed me to tell me he was aware of the situation and would have someone come out soon. That communication ended. Noticed they were re roofing a neighbors property that sustained no hurricane damage. It was just a reroof. When I emailed the company inquiring why they weren’t helping with my active leak and instead putting on a new roof for my neighbor, I was ignored. I hired an attorney to try and get this leak permanently fixed and we were met with excuses and blame about my chimney which was never discussed in the past. Also told the re roof was the previous owners contract and not a contract with me! I’m the new owner. That’s ridiculous. Why come out several times prior to this event and tell me you’re coming out? Very unprofessional and dishonest.

  Ms. Perez-Cardwell, It truly pains us when we can't bring a customer's issue to resolution. Your workmanship warranty was still very much honored, but not all leaks are roof related. There are many components that can fail and create a leak in your home. We are often called out for HVAC condensation issues, leaking solar panels, overhead plumbing leaks, skylights casement issues, and unfortunately chimneys. When a customer calls, we respond - as we did in your case - and while we will always do our best to remedy any issue we find, there are instances where the fix is beyond our scope or outside of our expertise. Chimneys are often overlooked in the course of routine home maintenance, especially on older homes. The previous owner was informed that the chimney was failing when the roof replacement was completed in 2013. We provided this information, along with photos documenting the issue to you and your legal counsel. We do apologize for the difficulties in reaching our team, as we are still inundated with hundreds of calls per day from people who sustained serious damage from Hurricane Ian. As we have stated previously, we are more than happy to send a technician to inspect your roof, but until the issues are resolved with your chimney, you will continue to experience water intrusion during high wind events.   I am very disappointed with this company. I received an appointment for a roof quote that was to be done on August 10, 2022 by Charles Venier. I was to wait for him to arrive anytime between 8:30am and 1:30pm. I waited all day as he was to show up anytime all morning into the afternoon. He never showed. I called into their office at 1:50pm and was told he had let everyone know on this day only through emails that he was not able to keep his appointments. Why didn't he or his office call to cancel? I never had a company make me wait around all day and not call if they couldn't make it! Also through email only I was rescheduled for 5 days later on the 15th without discussing it with my by phone first. When I said this wouldn't work for me, his office secretary was extremely rude to me. She said he was the only one in their company that did estimates and it couldn't be helped. That he had other quotes to do before mine. This didn't make sense because I should have been one of the first in line. I explained I had other estimates and they needed to be submitted in a timely manner. She then pretended not to hear me on the phone and kept saying " hello, hello, I can't hear you." So I called right back and she once again pretended she could not hear me! Do not give this company your business. They are unprofessional, rude, unreliable and they only have this one guy doing estimates.

  Dianne - We're really sorry that Charles was not able to make your appointment. He reported for duty, but we insisted he go home as his symptoms worsened. Charles is not a salesman, he is the Repair Division Manager. He inspects the roof personally to ensure leaks are properly assessed and assigned to the appropriate technician. For efficiency, his schedule is generated by zip-code, but he is always willing to make accommodations.   I called Anthony Roofing because an inspection showed my roof was missing several roof cap shingles. A very small job. I was told the person coming out would be bringing some shingles, and that if it was a small job he should be able to complete it when he got here. He showed up on time, went up on the roof to look at the shingles then went to his truck and put together an estimate. He handed me a quote of $250.00. He told me he doesn't carry a hammer or any tools in his truck. He just puts together the quotes. I asked how he figured such a steep price? He told me this was the minimum charge, which would be the same price if they replaced one shingle. Beware!

  Mr. Miller - Our team is truly sorry for the misunderstanding. You met with Charles our Repair Division Manager, he does solely estimating. Occasionally our estimators will assist with a minor repair to help resolve an active leak until a long-term repair can be made. We are always happy to help where we can, however, there are dozens of shingle colors and it would not be possible for Charles to have come prepared to properly replace shingles without an initial visit. And yes, unfortunately, we must have a minimum repair fee. Our company is licensed, insured, and our technicians are the best in the business, no sub-contractors are used. Any repair work performed by our team comes with a full labor and materials warranty. We believe quality and customer peace of mind have value - it means everything to us.

  I was renewing my homeowner's insurance and they wanted proof for the age of the roof. There was no building permit on file.Consequently, they insisted on a new roof. I had heard of Leonard roofing and their reputation, and that was who I wanted to do my roof. I called them and they were able to come the next week and replaced my roof and finished the day before the cancelation was to happen. Professional and thorough with cleanup. (Former tile to asphalt shingles). So happy i was able to get them! I recommend them all the time when friends tell me they need a new roof. A friend had someone else and had to have them back to fix a leak, even when I recommended Leonard. They did a fantastic job for me!🤗
