Worst investment I have ever made!!! Everyone should be properly informed about the woes of a standing seam metal roof. Other than the look, which is fantastic, there is absolutely nothing good about them, they are really quite destructive, especially when the contractor doesn’t install any snow guards! Really, really dangerous, especially snow from the second storey roof, it all comes off at once without any warning. Snow guards could actually create another, possible worse problem, ice dams! Because the metal heats up as soon as the the sun hits it the melting snow creating ice dams which could be even worse if the snow is kept up there. Never had any ice problems when it was asphalt shingles. Alex and his crew did a great job installing the roof but I’m very disappointed that snow guards weren’t included, they were on every other quote I got and Alpro was the highest. After numerous pleas from my wife to at least get snow guards for the walkways and garage I finally broke down and contacted Alex for a price to just supply the snow guards and I would install myself, he told me numerous times that he was working on it but I never did get a price and I still have no snow guards. I will never recommend a standing seam roof to anyone!

Alpro did a great job installing a gorgeous standing seam metal roof on our ranch style house. They were on time, on budget, and easy to work with. The quality of the product and the installation were excellent. Alex helped us to work out a unique soffit detail and we were very pleased with the result.
