I have been requesting a refund from these guys for months now for unfinished gutter work. I paid the deposit and never got put on the schedule. I had to get another company to finish the job. I can’t get in contact with Carson or Chris …

Let me start by saying this company can sell them yourself. They said all the right things had good reviews, so I decided to hire them to replace my siding. It has been one of my BIGGEST REGRETS. Once I signed the contract, it all starting going downhill from there. They do not start the job on the data they told me, they improperly installed the siding. As you can see in the pictures. Their crew was not qualified to do the installation on the house. So I was left with a job that did not hold up to what they said it would. After the first storm of the year, siding started blowing off and noticed the improper installation. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the crew used caulking to hold in certain parts of the siding as well as the final piece on top and also, let me add the caulking job around Anderson Windows was horrible. After that, I contacted the company and the owners Andy Huffman and Jesus Alamo came out and looked at it and told me that they would repair it. Being a frustrated homeowner, expecting the work to be done right. As they said it would be done halted progress So we had to sit down and sign another contract. Stating they would take down the siding and install it properly. This has been going on for 6 months and my house has yet to be worked on. It is so sad when you pay a company to do a job, and they take advantage. of you. My recommendation to anybody that's looking for siding on your house don't go with Alamo.

Leaving another review since I have not been contacted by the owner as I was promised. After calling Alamo over a month ago, I was told that they were in the process of scheduling my repairs and the owner was going to contact me. Terrible …

I rarely leave negative reviews, but the lack of professionalism here warrants one. Once the contract was signed, all communication stopped, and I had to chase them down weekly for updates. It took over a month to get the gutters installed, only for the work to be done incorrectly. Waiting another 3 weeks for a repair crew to fix a brand-new installation is unacceptable. I cannot recommend their services. Please look at their Yelp score. It is more representative of what you'll get yourself into. UPDATE 7/1/26: Have reached out to Alamo trying to get in contact with Andy, the owner. He responded to my original comment asking to get in touch with him. The person I was in contact with told me he was working with Andy to get a crew out to fix their issues and that I'd be contacted by Andy. 3 days later, no contact. Do not waste your time or money with this company. UPDATE 8/5/26: Over a month since I've last heard from them. No contact from the "owner" as promised. Makes me believe one of the staff just replies under his account.

Thank you for taking the time to share this, and I’m sorry for the frustration we caused. I won’t make excuses — the lapse in communication and the install issues are on us. I’ll be transparent that our team was navigating some difficult personal circumstances during this stretch, but that’s our problem to manage, not yours to absorb, and your experience should have been better regardless. I’d genuinely like to make it right. Please contact me directly and I’ll see it through personally. — Andy Huffman, Owner, Alamo Roofing Contractors

Ah so I actually ended up getting a quote from these guys for around 2200 to replace a pipe boot they told me 1800 to get it done ASAP. Which I pretty much thought that meant that day, but it didnt. They then said that they'd be able to get to it in around 3 weeks, but by then I already put my down payment down, but I needed the roof done way sooner because my roof was leaking into my kitchen so I ended up doing it myself. No work was done by them or anything I just want a refund on my deposit. Its been about a week and a half maybe 2 weeks. ( Edit) So now they are saying I didnt inform them of this but ive been calling everyday telling them this and have only gotten 1 call back and they tried telling me I Esigned something when I never did. Im going to be requesting documentation thats proves I did this because I never even e-signed anything. (Edit/update) So I ended up seeing they did send me a receipt for signing, but they said it was manually signed and I never signed anything in person for sure. Update 11/25/2025 : Still nothing I actually ended up going into the office and they did say I would be getting a refund, but its been well over a month and nothing in the mail yet. (Edit 1/6/2026) So they still havent resolved the issue everytime I call I get we'll call you right back and nothing ever happens. (Edit 3/11/2026) Still nothing I called about a week or so ago and they said they'd call back again, but nothing. Edit again 5/9/2026: Still nothing now they just ignore my calls pretty much, but will still keep trying 7/27/2026: They still havent refunded me will still keep trying

I had an appointment set up for an estimate and they never showed up or called to cancel. I tried calling them and the AI system kept transferring the call to a number that hangs up after three rings. Total waste of time

This shouldn’t have happened, and I apologize. A missed appointment with no call, plus a phone system that didn’t get you to a person — that’s a failure on our end, not yours. I’d like the opportunity to earn back your trust. Please reach me directly at 219-746-2236 and I’ll personally handle your estimate. – Andy Huffman, Alamo Roofing Contractors

DO NOT go with this company if you don’t want to be SCAMMED! We unfortunately made the mistake of hiring Alamo Roofing for a small job. We had issue after issue that never stopped and was never resolved. It started with a lack of communication. After the quote and deposit was issued to Alamo, the sales rep reached out advising the workers would be out “tomorrow” to fix the roof because of the weather. About 2 hours later, the techs showed up at our house to fix the roof during a blizzard. We suggested they come back the next day for their safety and the quality of the job. The tech said he “had 26 years of experience, don’t worry!” Instead of waiting to ensure the job could be completed appropriately due to the weather, the tech proceeded to “fix” the roof. This was done by drilling the piece of metal flashing ON TOP of the roof shingles instead of where it belonged, between the shingles and the roof. Thus, creating new penetration points on the roof. There was also an excessive amount of caulk used everywhere! The technician assured me that the job was right, and if there were any further issues to call him personally. Being a Facilities Director, I wanted to follow up and check on the job to make sure it was completed correctly. Once I got up to the roof, this is what I came across. (See pictures) I found out about the metal and the caulk, and the extremely incorrect way to fix a roof. We now have more problems than what we started with! After multiple calls to Alamo, it took almost a week and a half to receive a call back. Once I spoke with a manager, I was told they were going to send out a “reputable crew” to fix what was done wrong. When the day finally came to have the roof fixed, we had 1 of the ORIGINAL 2 men come back out to fix it! I’m sorry, what? He proceeds to go up and try to remove the caulk and ends up removing some of the finishing paint off the gutter where the caulk was. Then informs me he needs to come out another day because he doesn’t have

We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Reading through everything you went through — from the weather-day repair to the back-and-forth communication — we completely understand your frustration, and we do not take it lightly. We want to be transparent: the initial visit was unfortunately scheduled after-hours under circumstances that, in hindsight, were not ideal for delivering the quality of work you deserved. That is on us. We are pleased that your $375 deposit was returned in full, but we recognize that a refund alone does not make up for the stress and additional issues this caused you. We are committed to doing better — for our communication, our crew assignments, and the overall experience we provide every customer. Reviews like yours, while difficult to read, are exactly how we grow and improve. We genuinely wish you the best and hope your roof gets taken care of properly and quickly. Thank you again for your honesty.

The men who did the work on our roof did EXCELLENT work. We are very happy with the work they did. The price we paid was very reasonable and was one the reasons we selected Alamo. The customer service we received with the person who came out to give us the quote was not satisfactory. The customer service we received after putting our deposit down and trying to get the actual work done was not satisfactory. It was like begging to get on the calendar. I will repeat what I said - the men who did the actual work were excellent. The people who work in the office have a lot to work on.

Top-notch service. I had some issues with some casings that were on the dormers of my garage roof and Jesus and Ramon showed up. Got the job done efficiently and beautifully. They were completely professional and just had wonderful positive vibes. I appreciate when workers come to your home and they are so respectful and mindful that you are the customer and they get paid because you’re the customer. However, I feel like these guys are like this all the time and I know that if I ever need any work done, these are the guys that I want to come out and do it. I also wanna give a shout out to Chris who booked the appointment. There are so many people right now who have worse situations with their roofs, but this was a tiny job and they were able to come out and get it done in like 20 minutes and Chris booked the appointment. Sent me a text message and called to let me know these guys were on their way. They showed up and showed out and went on about their business. I sincerely appreciate the level of service I received in such an unfortunate time where people are really dealing with worse issues with their roofs than I am. Keep up the good job guys.

I had an excellent experience with Alamo. They did a full roof replacement, including a flat roof over my sunroom. It was a pleasure having Carson as my sales rep. He did my inspection and presented a detailed estimate with options. I appreciate his quick response to any questions I had, as well as the updates from Jack. I chose a standing seam metal roof and the crew did a fantastic job. They were prompt, professional and efficient. My roof looks awesome! Thank you all for a job well done.

A roof leak almost never shows up where it actually starts, which is what makes roof leak detection so important for Crown Point homeowners. The real entry points tend to hide around flashing, valleys, and vent boots, then travel along the decking before a drop ever reaches your ceiling. By the time a stain appears inside, moisture has usually been working behind the scenes for weeks. Catching it early is the difference between a quick repair and a torn-up ceiling. Our crews at Alamo Roofing Contractors know where Northwest Indiana roofs tend to give out after a long, stormy summer, and we check the spots most homeowners would never think to look. If you have noticed a musty attic, a soft area on the roof, or a faint stain that keeps growing, it is worth tracing to the source before the heavier fall rains arrive. We have served the Region since 2017, and every free inspection comes with a straight answer about what we find. Call Alamo Roofing Contractors to book a free leak inspection, and let our crew find the source before it finds your living room.2 days agoBook
