Creepy stalker like behavior. Stay away from this company. Harassment with multiple calls and voicemails. I never finalized any agreement. I will consider any further communication harassment from your company. Leave me alone.

    Reply from the business

Dear William Hudson, We made multiple attempts to contact you by phone and voicemail regarding your account but received no response. As a result, one of our team members stopped by to discuss the next steps. He was parked on a public street while completing work-related responsibilities, including updating customer accounts and paperwork. Describing these legitimate business efforts as "stalking" or "harassment" is simply not accurate. Our sole purpose was to establish contact regarding your account after repeated unsuccessful attempts by phone. Our focus remains on resolving the outstanding matters related to your account, including the specially ordered materials you selected on April 30, 2026, for your project. Going forward, we will communicate with you by mail regarding this matter. Sincerely, Anna, Customer Relationship Manager

I hired this company for a roof replacement and, overall, the workmanship felt average at best. The materials used also seemed to be on the lower end, which was disappointing given the investment. The bigger issue, however, came after the job was completed. About a year and a half later, I experienced minor shingle damage that should have been covered under warranty. I had a sales manager and another representative come out to assess it, and the repair itself was relatively small, likely a $250–$300 job. Unfortunately, after that visit, communication completely fell apart. I was given the runaround and had a very difficult time getting any response. It felt like because the repair was small, it simply wasn’t worth their time. That’s extremely frustrating after spending a significant amount of money with them. In contrast, I reached out to a few other roofing companies, and they were responsive and helpful right away, one even came out the very next day to assist. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for roofing work. Good customer service shouldn’t end once the initial job is paid for, and that was clearly not the case here. If this company ever reaches out to you or shows up at your door, I’d strongly recommend going in a different direction. You’ll save yourself a lot of frustration in the long run.

    Reply from the business

Dear S2000, We’re surprised and very sorry to read about your experience—this isn’t the level of service we aim to provide, especially for someone who trusted us with their home. We’re also sorry to read that you’re disappointed with the color and shingle style you selected. We do remember meeting with you while you selected your shingle color and style, and we truly appreciated the opportunity to work with you. To clarify, your warranty would have covered any manufacturer defects or build-related concerns, and we would have been more than happy to help you. Having been in business for 14 years, we consider all of our customers “customers for life,” and we pride ourselves on going out of our way to help however we can—regardless of the size of the job. Based on what you shared, it sounds like something may have been miscommunicated or we may not have been reached directly. We would like the opportunity to make this right. Please reach out to us directly so we can take another look and assist however possible. Our company phone number is 913-444-9006. Sincerely, Anna, Customer Relationship Manager

Extremely Poor Workmanship and Refusal to Fix Their Mistakes I hired Advocate Construction in June 2025 for a roof installation at my rental property in Olathe, KS after door-to-door solicitation. What started as a simple roof job turned into a nightmare that is still unresolved almost 10 months later. Shortly after completion, the roof began leaking badly, damaging ceilings and walls in the kitchen, living room, garage, and bedroom. When their crew finally investigated in February 2026, they admitted they had knocked the flue pipe off during installation, causing dangerous carbon monoxide to leak into the house — a serious health hazard to my tenant. They cut multiple large holes in the ceilings, walls, and attic to fix the flue but never repaired the damage they created. Water stains remain, holes are still open, and the house is left in terrible condition. During an appraisal, their own team promised they would move and pack my tenant’s belongings, complete all repairs, paint, clean up, and put everything back. A week later they completely changed their story and now refuse to do any work unless I sign a waiver releasing them from all liability for the damage THEY caused. They have ignored multiple emails and will not schedule an appointment. This is not how an A+ rated company should operate. They created the problem through negligent workmanship, exposed my tenant to carbon monoxide, left the house torn up for months, and now refuse to fix it without forcing me to sign away my rights. I have been left with no choice but to file complaints with the BBB, Kansas Attorney General, and am now seeking legal counsel to force them to complete the repairs and compensate for the damage and inconvenience. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for roofing work. Advocate Construction does not stand behind their work. Property Address: 15525 S. Arapaho Street, Olathe, KS 66062 Date of Work: June 2025 – Still unresolved as of March 2026 The Photos show how they have left my

Dear Mike Burke, Advocate Construction respectfully disagrees with your statements that we have refused to address your concerns or stand behind our work. Because we are a 5-Star company, we take all claims, including those posted here, seriously and have made consistent, documented efforts to investigate and resolve the issues you have posted in this review. Please recall that following your report of a leak and related interior damage, our team conducted multiple inspections to find the source of the leak and determine the appropriate course of action. During this process, the flue pipe was identified as an item requiring attention. As a reminder, this was not included in the original Scope of Work you signed on May 1, 2025, and was only brought to our attention by you after the project had already begun. Flue systems are typically handled by licensed HVAC specialists, however, in an effort to assist, we offered to coordinate the repair and contracted with—and paid for—the HVAC specialist you selected to ensure the flue pipe was properly addressed. To properly access the flue pipe, limited openings were required in certain interior areas. Please recall that at the time you expressed understanding that these were necessary for the HVAC team to evaluate and perform the repair. We also respect the seriousness of your concerns regarding potential safety risks. However, we are unclear on the basis for the carbon monoxide concern, as you previously confirmed that a carbon monoxide detector was installed at the property and that no alerts had been triggered. Regardless, we took the matter seriously by involving a qualified HVAC professional to inspect and ensure the flue system was properly connected and functioning. During this process, you continued to tell us to work directly with your tenant rather than communicating with you. Despite multiple attempts to schedule the work, progress was delayed due to repeated cancellations, rescheduling requests, and unavailabi

Plenty of houses in our neighborhood have signs that say "no soliciting," yet this company has their people come and knock at our doors. There are reasons why we have these signs. I'm 100% sure the individual saw all these signs yet still went knocking wasting his time and not respecting our signs. Guess what, no one at any of the houses opened the door. This was today March 13, 2026.

Dear Morena Kiss, We apologize for any inconvenience caused by our team's presence in your neighborhood. There are several reasons a member of our team may have stopped by your home. We work closely with homeowners to restore properties after storms, and it is our standard practice to share contact information with nearby neighbors. This allows surrounding homeowners to reach us if they notice or need anything related to the project—for example, a construction vehicle parked in front of their home, a delivery temporarily blocking a driveway, or debris crossing a property line. We have found that proactively sharing our contact information helps us better serve the community and provide a positive experience for everyone involved. At this time, we are unable to confirm why or how often our team may have stopped by your home without your address, as we would need to review the visit notes in our system. If you would like, please email info@advocateconstruction.com or call our office. We would be happy to add you to our internal do-not-disturb list or address any additional concerns. Thank you for your understanding. Anna, Customer Relationship Manager.

Michael, no clue who you are. If this really happened, the easiest fix is to email us your address so we can add you to our Do Not Knock list. We’ve offered this multiple times, yet here we are again. What I find interesting is your line about “not normally one to leave bad reviews.” You’ve written 14 reviews total. 6 were removed by you or Google (likely for not meeting their policies). Of the 8 that remain, 7 are 1-star and the other is a 2-star. So… when you say you’re not one to leave bad reviews, what exactly does that mean??? And the “updates” — not just here, but even McDonald’s. Three reviews at three different McDonald’s, all complete disasters where you were treated horribly. At some point, maybe it’s not McDonald’s, not us, not every other business you’ve ever been to… maybe it’s… never mind, I won’t say it. We’ll happily stop knocking if you just send us your address. In fact, it's probably best that we not work together. Until then, posting updates instead of sending that one simple email feels a bit like yelling at the rain when all you need is an umbrella.

I had my roof replaced recently but it started leaking bad when it rained. This caused damage on the ceiling of the dining area. I gave them a call and they sent someone by the name Jonah to check it out.The guy claimed that the leak was caused by the siding. That was ridiculous because the leak is like 3 feet from the wall and it was a result of bad workmanship. They don’t want to accept the liability. You even don’t need any background in construction to tell where the leak is coming from but I think they have been trained that way not to accept liability . The other thing they didn’t paint the gutters as per insurance quote. I called them and Jordan the sales person said they don’t do painting. So far I’m very frustrated by this company.

    Reply from the business

Hi Bernard Wandeto, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re genuinely sorry to hear about the frustration and the concerns you've described following your roof replacement. This is not the kind of experience we want any of our customers to have. We understand how important it is to resolve issues like leaks quickly and accurately. Our team member visited your property to investigate the source, and while his assessment was that the issue may be related to siding, we completely understand your concern and are happy to take a second look to ensure nothing was missed. Your peace of mind matters to us. Regarding the painting of gutters — you're right to expect clarity. While painting is typically excluded from our scope unless explicitly contracted, we apologize if that was not made clear at the outset and we’ll be reviewing how that was communicated. We would appreciate the opportunity to make this right and restore your confidence in our service. If you're open to it, please contact our Customer Service team directly at 913-386-6700 or info@advocateconstruction.com so we can review your file together and determine the next best steps. Thank you again for your feedback — it helps us improve. Sincerely, Anna – Customer Experience Team Advocate Construction

My roof was completed on April 28th, but the process hit major roadblocks afterward. Communication stalled, leftover materials sat on my driveway for months, and a promised deductible write-off wasn't reflected on my bill. However, management reached out today to resolve these issues. They explained that a recent system transition caused the notes regarding my deductible to be lost in migration. They promptly cleared up the billing error, scheduled the material removal, and set up the final walk-through for today. While the initial follow-through was frustrating, I appreciate their prompt action to make things right once notified. Thank you.

Andrew the local sales rep was great when he showed up but was not the easiest to get a hold of. The roofers did a great job but apparently didn't get the work order to add an additional exhaust vent. That took a month to get straightened out. When I was reviewing the final paperwork and reviewed the claim docs, I realized the insurance paid out to have the gutter guards ripped and replaced and they paid out for it on the claim. Advocate didn't do that either. We checked and the old ones were left on. The roof job was done and they did a good job on the work orders they had. I just wish it was set up right to do all that we and the insurance company asked.

After hail storm damaged my roof I met with several area roofing companies. Andrew Stafford was my sales representative and first contact. He & Advocate Construction won me over hands down, he went above & beyond and kept to the agreement reached upon that first initial meeting. My new roof looks great and the work was well done. I had a great experience Advocate Construction and every employee I interacted with during the whole process (Andrew S, Aaron, James, and one other when Andrew had a conflict for the insurance inspection, can't remember his name). Andrew kept me well informed. He wanted to make sure everything went smoothly since I had mentioned some of my relatives had a "pulling teeth" experience with insurance when they had used a different contractor for roof repairs. And everything did go smoothly, from the initial inspection with insurance to the actual build and subsequent follow ups. Andrew had found enough signs of storm damage that a insurance claim to replace the roof would be confirmed by my insurance. It was confirmed, so I just had to pay the deductible. The build was done in a day (only 5-6 hrs) and the roofers did a great job. There was some slight damage to one of my gutters, but it was noticed by Advocate since they take before and after photos. James was the one that came and fixed it up. My experience has been great, so I would recommend Advocate Construction for roof work.
